I am unable to open folders in project creator i have done what corel has suggested by still dont work. I am unable to contact via email as that dont work as i get failed to create a case.
View 2 RepliesI just purchased the PSP X3 Ultimate. Installed everything with no issue. Rebooted edited a photo saved it then opened Project Creator to upload it to Facebook. Put in my correct email and password. Yet I get the error of:
Unable to connect Please check your network connection.
the same machine that has PSP/Project Creator there is nothing wrong with my network connection. I've checked my UN/PW for Facebook and my connection and everything is correct.
It appears I can not even connect via PSP to check for updates etc.
I noticed I am missing the Project Creator in v. X4...will it be added in an update or did Corel dump it all together?
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust got Photo Pro x3 Ultimate and that works fine. The Photo Project Creator on the other hand seems to have a problem. I can run it and open a new project but I cannot browse to where my pictures are stored. Pictures are only available if I put them on my desktop. The browser shows me as a user and the hard drive but when I click on them nothing happens. I have tried deleting the files in the digital studio folder and completely reinstalling the program to no avail. It does not matter who I run the program as or if I run it in compatibility mode.

After looking at reviews, I took the big step and bought the download version of Photo Pro X3, which got me a 2nd download file called Photo Essentials 4. Installed X3 first, then PE4. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled 'till I'm blue in the face. X3 looks like a good product, at least with the little I've done so far. But . . .
When I start Photo Essentials, which opens as Photo Project Creator, I get nowhere. Step one: selecting what you want to create works fine. However, on the screen where photo selection should be made, I only get the Desktop and My Computer icons, and My computer won't expand.
After 2 days of frustration, I decided to install ONLY Photo Essentials 4 on my wife's PC to see what happened. It opened with a screen that said Photo Essentials 4 at the top, and something that would allow me to paint over the top of a picture. Doesn't even resemble what opens on my PC.
Both PC's are running Windows XP Media Ed. I've noticed apparently similar problem with Windows 7, but is this really just the norm? I tried the cure I found elsewhere in this forum, by shutting down certain processes, and deleting everything within Digital Studio, but it didn't change anything.
Cannot find any additional templates for project creator. Quite a limited selection. Would prefer a completely blank page (Cover & inside) so that I can create an image in it's entirety elsewhere & load it as an image. Am trying to find the template in the project creator folder so that I can edit it & make it completely blank. If no one knows where I can download one that is already blank, how to edit the file that the existing templates are using?

It is happening on all my recent downloaded images and a few random folders from a while back. It also is stuck on updating cache settings for about 3 minutes when I am opening the program, it started doing this and the folder issue at the same time.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to open some AMD partner logos, and they're in EPS format. I tried opening them in PSPX2 originally, and it gave the error that "This PostScript file is either not valid or contains unsupported features" so I tried PSPX3 and the same thing is happening. I tried opening them in Notepad to see if there was anything in there to identify the program that was used to create them and it appears to be Illustrator 13. I don't have Illustrator 13, so how do I resolve this issue with PSPX3?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI want to work with more then one picture at the same time and I want to be able to open more pictures during my work. With version X3 I could switch between Manager and Edit to open more pictures. Now the program closes all opened pictures if I switch from "Edit" to "Manage". Is that as it should work now?
How can I open the browser inside the Edit area? I could not find a function or Icon to do that. I just found the possibility to use the function 'Dual Monitor'.
If I select the function 'Dual-Monitor' the program changes my selected setting (Thumbnail Mode) to Preview Mode and I cannot change it anymore. Is that as it should be or is it a bug? I want to work with Thumbnail mode and not with Preview Mode.
I have Dual-Monitor switched o and restart the program. Now the two tasks are not opened on my two screens. I currently see the Edit screen and cannot switch to the Manager. Even with the task manager I cannot switch to the Manager of PSP. When I closed the program after switching on Dual-Monitor I had both tasks on different screens and so I would have expected to get it with the next start of the program.
If I open more then one picture I get a task in the taskbar for each opened picture. That seem to be very strange for me. I do not have more then one task of the program. I have several opened pictures in own windows (not tabbed) in one program.
Is it possible to delete/add to/rename folders listed in the Computer tab of the left pane of the Manage window?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with PSP X4; on load the program creates folders in the root of my network drive ( M: ) including:

[*]Bump maps
[*]CMYK profiles
[*]Deformation maps
[*Displacement maps
[*]and so on...

I have deleted these folders manually and they are recreated each time PSP launches. I have changed the settings in File -> Preferences -> File Locations to remove references to these folder locations, and then tried deleting them, but they are recreated again on load. how to remove them? They are littering my network drive...
I have thousands of images and I want to create a resized copy of each in a new tree, is there a way of using scripts to traverse a tree of folders, resize each image and create the new image in a new folder tree? I know this is quite advanced but doing it manually (even with scripts) would take ages.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI made some presets to effects, toolbar customization (including creating my own), create picture frame and so on. I would like to backup these information considering the case of reinstall PSP and recovery my settings.
a) which are the folders that stores presets, customization and my settings?
b) If I install PSP in other computer, could I just replace these folders in order to recovery my presets, customizations and settings?
c) Recently I reset (shift + F8) the PSP to its factory setting and I lost all these stuffs ! Were the customizations deleted or there is any way to recovery them?
I have received my new product paintshop pro x6 ultimate and installed it on a windows 8 64bit os.
When starting I can add folders to search.
When I quit and start paintshop pro again, the folder is not there anymore and I have to add it again.
Since My Documents is where I put all my *useful* files/folders, I like to keep it clean and organized. I don't want it cluttered up with folders that programs are using to store "work" files, as is the case with PSP. I went to preferences and laboriously changed ALL File Locations to the user/my-name/appdata/...etc. area. But when I saved, exited and reloaded PSP, those folders were created again. Checking the File Locations in preferences again showed that the appdata ones I had put in were still the top (primary) folder option, but the ones directing the files to "documents" had been created again as the third entry in each category.
How can I keep these folders/files OUT of My Documents?
On my current project I get the error message "Software problem" when attempting to open the project file. This problem began last night and affects the project file and all automatic backup files of my current project. It does not seem to be affecting other projects.

I want to bring into one new blank project about 12 images, resize them, mess about with them, reposition them etc...easy enough...BUT im stuck as stage one. I cant seem to simply bring in more than 1 image..next image appears on a new sheet...Clearly im using the wrong method...
Open new project, decide on size of project/paper. Then i click on....what....to bring in a photo....and then...to bring in another photo etc..
I am trying to equating images in the best way in a PSPIMAGE Project. My base image (background) has a dimension of 640 x 480.
I inserted two pictures. By original configuration, picture A (200 x 266) is bigger than picture B (145 x 189).
- If I increase size of picture B (to achieve same size of picture A), this picture will loss quality. Isn't it (I'm not completely sure)?
- So, maybe could be best decrease size of picture A (to achieve same size of picture B). But it will "harm" my main "composition" of dimension 640 x 480.
It seems to be simple but I don't know what to do or by where to begin...
I have tried several times to install PaintShop Pro X4 firstly from the download and now from the CD. Every time I end up with a message saying that I already have a copy of the program installed.

I was able to save them last week, so something has changed in my settings, but where to look. 10 years using PSP and I have to say...dislike all versions after PSP XI.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've come across an issue using X6 I haven't seen before. After working on a multi-layer pspimage file, saving it and reloading I can no longer edit one of the raster layers. When the layer is selected with the pick tool it shows the circle with line when mousing over. It was not merged or locked so not sure what's causing this and never came across this with any of the previous PSP versions I've used.

UPDATE: Tried making sure it was the top layer and still could not edit the layer. I then made all the other layers invisible and at that point it would allow editing the image. Is there some hidden feature in X6 I'm missing or is this a quirk?
I've just installed PSPx6, downloaded and installed updates. I'm using the 64 bit version and it will not load any plug-ins. I've set the file locations etc.
I've been using PSP since version 7, so I'm pretty capable. This is really making me angry though. It's a useless program to me if it won't utilize my Dreamsuite, KPT, Filters Unlimited, Plaid lite, and Muras copies.
I installed the KPT plug ins from the Corel Content (or whatever it is called) website. They don't show up in X6--64 bit version. That is because they only work in 32? How can I get them to show up in 64 bit?
ps. They show up in X5. I can't remember which one, but I did like one of them.
I cannot edit or adjust photos at this time. the program come up ok but when I click edit there is no picture there. It is the same on adjust. Not sure if I unclicked something or what.

Everything works fine with PSP X2 but since upgrading I can no longer use my scanner. I've tried to log a question with the knowledge base but for some obscure reason I am unable to get that to work.

"Because of the limitations of the specified file (and possibly the save options you've selected) the saved file will be limited to a merged image. Would you like to continue?"
I have a .psp image file that the information shows the resolution as 300dpi. When I try to save it as a .png file, the resolution changes to 118dpi. It doesn't matter if I just do a Save As or File > Save for Office > Professional Printing with 300dpi, the outcome is the same.

I know there has to be a way to do this. I don't even pretend to know what the Radius X & Y and Center X & Y are for.
I'm using PSP X4, have an image open in edit but I'm not able to add any layer(s). None of the layer type options will remain highlighted for me to choose when I go to new mask layer or new adjustment layer.
