View 10 RepliesPaintShop Pro X4 SP1 I've had this happen a few times before, but now it's beyond a joke, in that any time now I attempt to use the Clone tool, an empty script error message presents, and PSP is either frozen dead or just vanishes from the screen.
Win XP Event Viewer reports: Faulting application corel paintshop pro.exe, version 14.1.0.92, faulting module corecmd.dll, version 14.1.0.18, fault address 0x0000dd54.
FWIW. PSP X2U on the same machine works its clone tool okay.
Ah well! back to a JASC version of PSP 9 that does actually work for more than part time use.
I cannot seem to find the clone tool options in the EDIT TAB. I have used PSP from version 7 through version X2. Normally when you click on the clone tool a series of options appear in the upper left hand corner near the pull down menus. One of the options is the ability to adjsut the size of the clone tool. These tool adjustment options are missing in version X4. Interestingly, the tool options are available in the Adjust tab.

View 1 Replies View RelatedPSPRo X.I have lost the ability to increase the size of the clone brush either by the presets or by the mouse and keyboard. It will not show by more than about one eighth of an inch square .

View 1 Replies View Relatedoften while using the clone tool some of what I am trying to remove is placed just above where I am working....is there an alingment that needs to be done?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been doing some very simple editing of photo's taking a copy from part of one and pasting it as a new layer on another photo. I can then manipulate the size, placement and orientation easily with my X4 version of PSP.
I just purchased the new x6 and am ASTONISHED that this simple exercise doesn't work at all in the 64 bit version and only partially in the 32bit version of x6. What happens is that the screen isn't redrawing the changes as you move the pasted part around. It can be refreshed manually but gets into such a mess when you are trying to place the image that it's unusable. I go back to X4 and using exact same photo's I can work without any problem.
I'm on win7 ultimate all upto date and an 8800 GTS graphics card with latest drivers. There should be no reason x4 works and x6 does not.
I just recently started having problems with my PSP Photo XI program on my laptop. The other day it would start up and run normally, but the next day when I went to run the program, it wouldn't start. My computer would freeze up and show this error message: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006). Click OK to terminate the applicaion."
I tried turning off my computer and running the program again, but the same thing came up. I tried to run the repair program on it, nothing. I even tried to uninstall PSP XI to no avail as I got a different error message: "Internal Error 2328 C:Program FilesCorelCorel Paint Shop Pro XICoreErrorCodesRC.dll"
I really don't know what to do, short of just completely resetting my laptop back to factory settings and starting fresh. But even then I don't know if that would fix the problem.
I wish I knew why the program decided to just stop working one day, as I haven't downloaded anything and my anti-virus is up to date.My computer is a Dell XPS M1710, and it runs Windows XP SP3.
I've used the Clone Tool a lot over the years but I've never worked out how to reset the source point without having to go back to the clone tool. I know a right click resets but it defaults to the position of the clone (why?), so I usually have to right click at least twice.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI was wanting to try out the clone tool to paint out a fly in some footage I have, but I can't get the clone tool to grab a sample region. I hold down ctrl and click where I want to sample from, but the green circle doesn't appear. I can do it by manually offsetting it with the x and Y position, but I'd like to do it with my pen.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using PSC6 and the clone tool stamp will not paint from the sample area. After holding down the alt key to obtain sample it will not paint. I can hold the sample over the area to paint & see the cloned area visually, but it will not paint when I click. however if I click many multiple times I get a faded clone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to use the clone tool, my initial cursor locations (as picked by me) appears to be about 200 pixels off. I have updated video drivers and mouse drivers to no avail. There was a posting some time back about the same issue, but it seems to be unresolved. The solution was to remove code from the registry.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIn Lightroom 5 I really like the Perspective Correction tool which always produces white Out-of-Canvas areas as a result of image deformation. As a "constain crop" very often would cut out a lot of interesting details, I love to Crop the image a bit wider. The problem are the white areas remaining that were not present in the original, undistorted image.I would love to fill them in with the Clone Tool, but it does not seem to work on those areas!
To make a complicated story simple just look at this image:My aim here is to fill in the bottom left white by simply cloning the missing part of the column. This is a super-easy job which I could do with Lightroom clone tool in seconds. Shall I report it as a BUG? (if so, how?)
Could not use the clone stamp tool because the area to clone has not been defined (option-click to define a source point). this is what shows up in the command box when ever I click to start to pick the spot i want to use as the clone. makes my cloning tool useless. I have reset the tools restrted my computer.
View 1 Replies View Relatedclone tool has worked fine, but now it does not select an area to clone from?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have tried several times to install PaintShop Pro X4 firstly from the download and now from the CD. Every time I end up with a message saying that I already have a copy of the program installed.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPaint shop pro 4. Patches up to date. I am unable to save files my files as .jpgs. I can save them as .psp files however. I was able to save them last week, so something has changed in my settings, but where to look. 10 years using PSP and I have to say...dislike all versions after PSP XI.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've come across an issue using X6 I haven't seen before. After working on a multi-layer pspimage file, saving it and reloading I can no longer edit one of the raster layers. When the layer is selected with the pick tool it shows the circle with line when mousing over. It was not merged or locked so not sure what's causing this and never came across this with any of the previous PSP versions I've used.
PSP X6 16.1.0.48
UPDATE: Tried making sure it was the top layer and still could not edit the layer. I then made all the other layers invisible and at that point it would allow editing the image. Is there some hidden feature in X6 I'm missing or is this a quirk?
I've just installed PSPx6, downloaded and installed updates. I'm using the 64 bit version and it will not load any plug-ins. I've set the file locations etc.
I've been using PSP since version 7, so I'm pretty capable. This is really making me angry though. It's a useless program to me if it won't utilize my Dreamsuite, KPT, Filters Unlimited, Plaid lite, and Muras copies.
I installed the KPT plug ins from the Corel Content (or whatever it is called) website. They don't show up in X6--64 bit version. That is because they only work in 32? How can I get them to show up in 64 bit?
ps. They show up in X5. I can't remember which one, but I did like one of them.
I cannot edit or adjust photos at this time. the program come up ok but when I click edit there is no picture there. It is the same on adjust. Not sure if I unclicked something or what.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had PSP X3 for sometime but have never been able to connect to my scanner. The options for Twain acquire and Twain Source are dimmed. Everything works fine with PSP X2 but since upgrading I can no longer use my scanner. I've tried to log a question with the knowledge base but for some obscure reason I am unable to get that to work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to save a small jpg file I get the following:
"Because of the limitations of the specified file (and possibly the save options you've selected) the saved file will be limited to a merged image. Would you like to continue?"
I'm trying to open some AMD partner logos, and they're in EPS format. I tried opening them in PSPX2 originally, and it gave the error that "This PostScript file is either not valid or contains unsupported features" so I tried PSPX3 and the same thing is happening. I tried opening them in Notepad to see if there was anything in there to identify the program that was used to create them and it appears to be Illustrator 13. I don't have Illustrator 13, so how do I resolve this issue with PSPX3?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a .psp image file that the information shows the resolution as 300dpi. When I try to save it as a .png file, the resolution changes to 118dpi. It doesn't matter if I just do a Save As or File > Save for Office > Professional Printing with 300dpi, the outcome is the same.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am unable to associate any files with PSP 12 Ultimate or 9. I go in under preferences/file locations then choose the type file (plugin, mask...) then choose the particular file to load but nothing happens.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased the PSP X3 Ultimate. Installed everything with no issue. Rebooted edited a photo saved it then opened Project Creator to upload it to Facebook. Put in my correct email and password. Yet I get the error of:
Unable to connect Please check your network connection.
the same machine that has PSP/Project Creator there is nothing wrong with my network connection. I've checked my UN/PW for Facebook and my connection and everything is correct.
It appears I can not even connect via PSP to check for updates etc.
I have never been able to make a perfect circle (eclipse). They always come out lop sided even a little bit in my best try.
I know there has to be a way to do this. I don't even pretend to know what the Radius X & Y and Center X & Y are for.
Is there something I might be doing wrong that won't let me clone the black background of this picture. I'm currently using a Inspiron 8600 (old) laptop, until my desktop get's repaired.
I can do some cloning. Is the laptop being pushed to it's max. I'm trying to fill in the background and will probably crop. This picture will be used for a display of woodworking items that are being available for sale.
I'm using PSP X4, have an image open in edit but I'm not able to add any layer(s). None of the layer type options will remain highlighted for me to choose when I go to new mask layer or new adjustment layer.
