View 3 Replies View RelatedI am finding some difficulties to deal with vector files in PSP.
a) When reading=> I saved several .SVG files from Inkscape software and PSP isn’t able to open the files (I could open them through GIMP). The “SVG import” dialog box opens in PSP, but when I click in “ok” a message mentions “this is not a valid SVG file”. What could be happening? What is the better/compatible vector file format that PSP is able to handle?
b) When writing=> I created a vector logo with text and drop shadow in layer style. I would like to send it to other people that don’t have PSP. So, is there any vector file format which PSP is able to write/save? I tried to save it in .WMF and .EMF, but the output isn’t good (the definition isn’t good, the shadow doesn't appear, when I insert the logo in Word the text character changed to japonese character).
I followed the hint of PSP X4 to search the "List of supported RAW formats" on the Corel website. I only find a list for PSP X3 and in this list my camera (a Panasonic Lumix GH-2) isn't listed. Is there any newer list of supported RAW-formats / camera-types and if not, is the GH-2 supported and is there any lens specific correction data in X4 to auto correct the raw files?
View 1 Replies View RelatedA photo (a complex one with different layers) that was originally saved as a jpeg (100% quality) but after changing its size, saved as a png, is now used on another png photo.
When saving the end result as one photo with the png format as well, is that going to cause problems^^ with regards to print quality or not?
As it basically means a kind of mix and matching of jpeg and png formats.
When I save my renders in 8-bit tiff formats, the images are slightly blurred. They do not look as crisp as in the render window.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs is possible to save in multiple formats concurrently (CS4 & CS6)? Our images editors are having to "save as" .png and then again as .psd in order to complete their work. Clearly the overhead stacks up over time.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to transform some 2D images on paper, into 3D imaged on my computer. The 2D images are of wood trim. On paper it's just black lines of what they look like from the side, the outline of it. I want to scan that, take the side view, and create a 3D image by adding some depth to it (not to mention some color).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 1400 headshots that need cropping. I would use a normal photoshop action to do this if they were all the same size... unfortunately they are of differing sizes/sources and need to be cropped tight to head. My first thought was image recognition software or something... anyone have any ideas before I dive into a fun, manual editting process? ;>

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to image a 3d printed material made of metal. It is a few millimeters wide and deep. It is composed of metal arms that connect to each other to form intersections. I want to measure the pore size of this material. Obviously, I have to tilt the sample and collect images taken from different perspectives and then combine them to form a 3-d image. Can photoshop do this? I know it can stitch images together but can it account for differences in sample tilt?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave an image larger than my canvas that I pan across over three seconds. Apply a tilt shift effect to a smart layer but I do not wish the tilt shift to pan with the image I want the 'camera' to be fixed on sticks and panning the image.
Would try and approximate in AE but there's no tilt shift filter that I can see and this is a rush job. Guassian with a gradient mask doesn't give the bohek effects etc etc
In fact a way to uncouple a mask (for a guassian blur filter effect) from the transformation of the image would be a good start on this process.

The Mac RAW module shows all opened images in a column on the left, the Windows RAW module opens each images one at a time, then I have to wait while it saves the modified image and opens up the next one I opened.
How do I make Windows PShop open up all the RAW images in a column so I can quickly work on all of them?
I'm quite a newbie at image editing, I only use The Gimp to resize pictures and to do similar "simple" tasks. For a few times now, and more systematically since the last update, The Gimp crashes while opening high-res images (at least 1000x1000 px).
ex. [URL] ......
Although I can randomly succeed in opening this kind of files, I always have to retry several times.
I'm using it in Windows 7 Pro SP1, installed the latest version for Windows 2.8.4 (in French).
Note: I found a rather similar thread here: [URL] ..... but the guy uses The Gimp on Mac OS X while I have Win7.

Under Windows images, only the first link Tile is active. That means I can only have one layout open at a time. The next four in that section are grayed out. I need to use the last one, Consolidate all to tabs.
I re-created preferences and also did a system restore to a prior date without success. I am working on a class assignment and digital scrapping layout.
Presently, all of my images are stored on windows photo gallery. I have them organized into folders& subfolders. would the same folders and sub folders be exported into lrm as labeled. I know you do this under import mode and add from others. Would it behove me to make sure all of my gallery folders are properly labeled tagged etc. before i do this transfer. When i do the transfer can i rename the folders,re-tag them etc.

I need to make my color pictures into black and white.
Then, I would like to leave a part of the picture still in color. In my specific case, I have a portrait of this lady, and I want to make everything in the picture black and white except for her blue eyes.
I recently saved an image on Photoshop CS6 as a PNG file so I could send it as an attachment to a client (who uses a Windows computer). They told me the file wouldn't open and instead showed as an "Unknown File".
I tried opening the file on my Windows computer, as well as a JPEG version to test out, but both came up as "Unknown Files".
The only way I could transfer the files I saved in Photoshop was to export them as PNG through the 'Preview' application.
Is there a reason why these normal formats won't open properly?
