AutoCAD 2010 :: Open Multiple Applications In One Computer?
Sep 12, 2012If i open multiple AutoCAD applications in one computer, am I utilizing two network lincenses? We have a few network lincenses to share with the whole team. However, it's more efficient for me and avoid application crashes, I typically open two AutoCAD windows in two monitor (which are connecting to one computer).
Since we don't have enough network lincenses, my company suggest to open only one application per computer only.

Is there a way to open the Camera RAW files in CS5 right from LR3?Sometimes I want to manipulate the original RAW file in CS5 without having LR3 convert it to a PSD or TIFF format first.
Drag-and-drop from LR3 to another application does not work. I have to use the export option which converts the RAW file before handing it off.
This is not convenient when I want to use LR as a slide box or sorter for other applications. This would also solve the CS5 issue if I could just drag the RAW file and drop it on the CS5 icon.

Jan 12, 2014I cannot load or open any photos in Lightroom 5.3. I just installed it recently and was getting ready to use it. When I open Lightroom 5.3 it gives me an error message saying "An error occurred when attempting to change modules." I was in Bridge and then from Bridge I tried to open a photo into Lightroom. I tried to get a photo from desktop etc. Nothing worked.

Jan 30, 2012I used to have an old Canon XTi. I used to use Canon's software, Digital Photo Professional, to edit the raw (CR2) and JPG files. Now I have a new camera and Lightroom 3. Everything is great, except when I try use Lightroom on the images that I had previously edited in DPP.
I have already imported all my old photos into LR3 in bulk. However, I notice that when I go to an old folder for the first time in LR3, it loads the previews in grid view sequentially. At first, they look like the edited versions I made in DPP. Perfect! This is what I want. I've spent a lot of time editing some of them in DPP and I now want to manage them and publish them from LR3. But as the images continue to load in grid view, the edits I made are replaced by the original raw images. Cropping is reverted to original, color balance, contrast, black and white, everything is reverted to a default.
Can I keep raw edits made in DPP so I have one definitive library? I can't find any import or catalog settings that seem to pertain.
I am using LR3.6 on OSX 10.5.8.
Lightroom :: V5 Can't Open Any Photos Prior To Mid 2010
Mar 10, 2014Today, while browsing through my Lightroom catalog looking for some older images, I noticed that LR5 could not open any images (NEF, CR2, JPG, TIFF, etc.) from mid 2010 and prior! The error message only says: "Lightroom has encountered problems reading this photo. You will not be able to make adjustments to the photo." !!! The thumbnails are all blank!
I was very surprised as I haven't used any other image editting sw for the last I don't know how many years. I wonder, are there any ways to reclaim these images. I have some precious photos of my mother before she passed away and don't want to lose them an any cost.
It seems all these files are somehow corrupted. The only thing I can think of is when I switched over to LR5 and the image catalog was updated, something in the process went wrong, though can't be 100% sure. I did try to open the files in a separate viewer (non adobe) but that also failed. I'm using a Macbook Pro with the latest OSX (Mavericks). The images are on an external encrypted drive. From 2010 onward, there are no issues and everything is available.

Dec 6, 2011When I right click on a photo in LR3 and click on 'edit in Photoshop CS4', it opens the dialogue box that it has always opened: 'This version of Lightroom may require Camera Raw version 6.5 to be fully compatible,' or something to that effect. I have never needed to worry about that, and have always been able to just click on OK and it has worked anyway, however suddenly it doesn't.
So I checked (just in case the issue was my version of Camera Raw) and I am running Camera Raw version 5.70.213
So I tried to update it to 6.5. I downloaded it (and the Adobe installer manager which it seemed to want me to install), but when I try to install 6.5 I get a message: 'This is not required'.So one message tells me it is required, and another won't allow it to install and says it is not required.
I don't seem to be able to install the latest version of Camera Raw (doesn't bother me as I don't use it - I use LR, except if it is causing this problem), and I have the problem of being unable to edit any of my LR catalogue in CS4.

Jul 23, 2013I have installed and registered LR 5 ok but can't launch. Only a dialogue box asking to select a recently opened catalogue but there isn't one because I haven't had LR before. I just want to open the interface to import some photos but this same dialogue box keeps opening. This was not an upgrade version.

Mar 1, 2012In Lightroom, adjustments made to a photo replace the original version in my Library. When I drag the developed photo to external applications (Gmail in the browser, for example), Lightroom gives me the original photo, not the developed one, even though I can't see the original.
Is there a way to drag the developed photo from Lightroom, other than exporting and saving a new copy to my hard drive?

Aug 7, 2013I have Lightroom 5 and a Mac computer..Uploaded photos via card reader to Computer.Lightroom Opened but would not show previews. - said show source - would not open the previews on the imported photos
When I tried to activate the source to upload my photos - all when blank after 1 second of showing information (Photos) that were the previews. - then went blank.I stopped the process and ejected the card correctly through the finder. Thought I would try importing via image capture.
This was also a problem as the previews only showed as a flash of a second.I also notice that for some reason Lightroom 4 keeps on opening when importing photos and not Lightroom 5 - Though Lightroom 5 opens up when I edit other photos.

Dec 30, 2004I'm looking to transform some 2D images on paper, into 3D imaged on my computer. The 2D images are of wood trim. On paper it's just black lines of what they look like from the side, the outline of it. I want to scan that, take the side view, and create a 3D image by adding some depth to it (not to mention some color).

I would use a normal photoshop action to do this if they were all the same size... unfortunately they are of differing sizes/sources and need to be cropped tight to head. I want to measure the pore size of this material. Obviously, I have to tilt the sample and collect images taken from different perspectives and then combine them to form a 3-d image. Sep 22, 2013Have an image larger than my canvas that I pan across over three seconds. Apply a tilt shift effect to a smart layer but I do not wish the tilt shift to pan with the image I want the 'camera' to be fixed on sticks and panning the image.
Would try and approximate in AE but there's no tilt shift filter that I can see and this is a rush job. Guassian with a gradient mask doesn't give the bohek effects etc etc
In fact a way to uncouple a mask (for a guassian blur filter effect) from the transformation of the image would be a good start on this process.

Sep 17, 2011I just added 3 new blue fx transition packages to VS Pro X4 and have others to add ( boris, canopus, adorage).... I noticed that the first 2 new blue packages ( 3d explosions and 3d transformations) were successfully added to their own category in the drop down list of transition effects, so now the list includes the new blue sampler that Corel provided, and both these additional packages. When I added the third package New Blue Paint Blends, it did not appear in its own category but the effects are present when you click on "all".... ( which is a nuisance to search through). I'm wondering if the problem that existed in VS2 where by there were a limited number of transition categories you could have is still a problem in VS pro X4 or whether this is an issue just for Paint Blends. I'd like to know before I add on the other packages... I hate for all the effects ( 100s of them) to end up in my "all" list.
Also is there any way to manipulate this list... and force a location?? I can only see that all the effects are listed individually in the Vfx_plug folder.

The gif is sent to a 3rd party, who insert it into their pdf, before distributing it via email.
When people receive the 3rd party pdf, I want them to be able to click on my gif to open my web based pdf.
I've searched hyperlink in the help files, and am obviously not searching very well as I can't find anything?

Feb 28, 2008i am having a problem with my registration, when adobe photoshop sc3 loads up it asks me to "never register,register later or register now". i can not seem to press any buttons, they do nothing. i have had this problem before with adobe acrobat, all i done with that is edit the registary.
