Spent an hour waiting for the adobe installer to download on this machine and it never gave a code - couldn't even find one.How do I activate CS6 - or did I waste the money and need to send the disk back and quit this stuff?
I have ver 7 running on Win 7. When I start the program there is a brief flicker of a window in the upper right just as the program finishes loading. It looks like the program is going on-line but I cannot tell because it is so fast. Does the program automatically go on-line at startup and is that optional?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was put in charge of modifying The commun library of our content center. Later today, i found out that one of our draftmen played around our library and modifying some of the preset that i setup.
My question is: What can be done to limit access (Putting it at Read-only) to certain library for certain users without limiting my own access?
Also, I'm pretty sure its not possible but ill ask anyway, is it possible to know who modify those library and when?
I'm using Vault

When I attempt to access "page setup" the button just changes color to blue as I click it. I cannot select the media. The printer works fine from Preview but not from CS5. Epson says it's a Photoshop problem.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSeems to affect both x64 (my usual use) and x32. During the startup phase (before loading command libraries, etc), the program frequently crashes IF I am not hooked up to the internet. If I am hooked to the internet, it starts OK, and if, after starting, I disconnect from the internet all is OK as well. I presume it may be checking for updates at startup and running into trouble without an internet connection there, and there seems to be no way to turn auto-check feature this off.
Since I can usually hook up to the internet-- using an air card, if naught else-- this isn't a fatal problem for me, but it is an annoying glitch. I mostly want to somehow get this into the Corel system as a bug report.
I'm trying to setup PDN on a new computer (XP) and the only download site I can find keeps on bringing up something called optimum installer which wants to fill my new PC with garbage I don't need. Any proper download site?

I'm unable to complete Step 1 due to the latter issue. That is: File | Import | Screen Capture | Setup; I can never reach the fourth selection.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAssume I have to increase oftentimes but not always the brightness of digital photos by a certain value (e.g. 20). The contrast should be 0.Ok, I could go now (in PSP X2) to menu
Adjust--->Brightness and Contrast---->Brightness/Contrast
then manually adjust the values and click OK.However these multiple steps is somehow unhandy. Even if I put the Brightess/contrast icon into the toolbar I still have always to adjust the actual values.
I want to perform this operation by ONE click. Is there a way to put a customized icon into toolbar which (when clicked) performs always the brightness/contrast operation with my pre-defined values regardless which values are set up currently in the "normal" brightness/Contrast dialog?
if yes: How can I do it (in PSP X2)?
In the past week or two, I took time to re-create the tool button config in PSP14 that I've used for many years in Paint Shop Pro. However, the next day I see PSP14 has reset to the DEFAULT toolbars!!
Why did this happen? Was it failure to SAVE the configuration? Are my toolbars lost now? any way to restore besides button-by-button reconfig?
I recently got a new computer, with Windows Vista. I used my wife's existing CD to install Paint Shop Pro 7 (from 2001 - yikes!). It seems fine, except for a few of the preferences. The BIG problem is that the [Printer] button on the Page Setup dialog no longer appears! Here's the verbiage from the PaintShopPro7 user guide:
6To surround the image with a color, click the Background button. When the Color dialog box opens, choose the color. The area of the paper from the image edge to the paper margin will be covered with this color.
7Click the Printer button to open the printer.
8Click OK to close the dialog box and save the settings.
In our drawing office we use Inventor in a mining materials handling environment. Our output is mainly structural drawings where we require a bill of materials as part of creating a drawing. Whenever I insert a BOM in the drawing environment I get this table which is labeled in a foreign language (it looks like an Eastern European language) and the format is not as per the standard Autodesk installation setup.
How do I either revert back to the standard setup or do a BOM setup from scratch?
We use IV 2013 Professional on Windows 7 64 bit.

How do I access these features? I don't see any selection in the menus or toolbars.
I have a grid set up. say 10X10 each. I then fill in each square of the grid. I get rid of the grid, left with 10X 10 squares next to each other separated by 1 pixel then I do an outline to quickly get rid of the spaces between each square.
Now I I have 12 pixel wide line, now I would like to do an Inline (negative outline) to reduce the line back down to 10 pixel (or less ) wide line.
Since it is not exactly a straight line, but rather than a zig zaging line I can't exactly use the pixel selection tool.
How do I access the Creative Collection, which I downloaded and installed with PSP X5 Ultimate?
I upgraded from PaintShop Photo Pro X3.
I installed the KPT plug ins from the Corel Content (or whatever it is called) website. They don't show up in X6--64 bit version. That is because they only work in 32? How can I get them to show up in 64 bit?
ps. They show up in X5. I can't remember which one, but I did like one of them.
I have Windows 7 64 bit and PSP x5. Everytime I try to access my brushes, it freezes and the drop down menu won't open to select a brush. If I play with it for an hour or so it will finally come down for a second and I have to select quickly before it closes again. I have lots of memory and hard drive space. I've uninstalled KB2670838 windows update, as another forum suggested for general x5 freezes. I deleted all the brushed from the program file and made a separate folder and pointed XP to it in the file locations. The same thing happened with my tubes, but after continually trying to open them several times, it finally opened and from that point on it worked, not so with the brushes which I need to use in my work.I don't want to have to uninstall and reinstall, it took so long to get all the plugins added and working to have to do that again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen dealing with vector, it is just to click in image with "pick tool" to appear a tool bar where object align/distribution is available.
But when dealing with raster, this tool isn't available. The only way I found is through "menu=> objects=>align". To raster images, is there similar vector tool bar to access direct object align/distribution?
I've recently upgraded to PSP X5 and tried to update to the latest nvidia 32 bit DDS Plugin today (this one).
After the installation i copied the "dds.8bi" file in my "PlugInsEN" folder - which worked perfect with previous versions (my latest was from 2011 tho).
When i try to save a DDS file i get the normal DDS export/configuration dialog. When i hit save, i get an error message stating that the plugin causes an access violation (in german: "Plugin hat Zugriffsverletzung verursacht").
That error message appears twice and the file is of course not saved.
I'm using PSP X4, have an image open in edit but I'm not able to add any layer(s). None of the layer type options will remain highlighted for me to choose when I go to new mask layer or new adjustment layer.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently installed Photoshop CS3 on a newer PC which runs Windows 7 Home Premium, after the programme was locked on a PC running Vista which died on me and which I have just had repaired. However since installing the programme, every time I turn my PC off and then on again next morning, I have lost the internet.
I have been getting around the problem by running the HP network check and the automatic repair that it performs is to "reset the Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Adapter". However this only works until the PC is turned off again and then I have to do the whole process again. Is there a way to fix this problem permanently? I was hoping there would be an update from Adobe that might sort the problem, but Adobe don't seem to be able to work with that as they say the programme is too old and don't have online support for this.
I have followed everything that is suggested by HP i.e. rebooting the modem and router.
If I reset the PC to before the programme was installed the problem goes away. When I reinstall the problem comes back. Its definitely to do with the Photoshop programme, but I don't understand why.
When I have copied something and go to paste the image in PhotoShop CS3, something causes my system to open a connection to the Internet for several seconds (maybe 15) before I can paste. I have checked my system for all sorts of virus issues, fearing key recording software, but I don't have anything like that. I've been told by our IT person (who checked my system) that there is something Adobe is doing. Is this true? Why does PhotoShop need to make this connection?
View 9 Replies View Relatedregarding Photoshop CS3. Whenever I import a photo into Photoshop it locks up for about 20 seconds then the picture shows up. I opened up the task manager and it shows that during the 20 second lockup period my PC is sending data through the Internet. Once I disconnect from my network and try to import a photo it loads instantly. So my question is why is Photoshop transferring data whenever I import a photo? Is there anyway to disable whatever it is doing so it does not lock up?
View 3 Replies View RelatedToday I tried to export photos to Flickr and I got an error. I also tried to export to Facebook and failed. I tried to check for updates to the plugins and I could not connect to the update server. I checked maps and the program reported that they were offline. I am not having a problem connecting to the Internet with any other program. Spoitfy, Chrome, and Evernote all working fine.
This started today. It was fine last week. I have tried quitting LR4 as well as rebooting my computer. I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I searched the forums and I saw similar problems mentioned, but no solutions.
In Lightroom 5 I can not connect to the internet, even when I know the internet is working properly in other apps.
