I'm trying to setup PDN on a new computer (XP) and the only download site I can find keeps on bringing up something called optimum installer which wants to fill my new PC with garbage I don't need. Any proper download site?
Version 1.5.0.12 (the SP2 patch was installed). But I'm unable to figure out how to setup screen capture because that option is grayed out. I'm unable to complete Step 1 due to the latter issue. That is: File | Import | Screen Capture | Setup; I can never reach the fourth selection.
Assume I have to increase oftentimes but not always the brightness of digital photos by a certain value (e.g. 20). The contrast should be 0.Ok, I could go now (in PSP X2) to menu
Adjust--->Brightness and Contrast---->Brightness/Contrast
then manually adjust the values and click OK.However these multiple steps is somehow unhandy. Even if I put the Brightess/contrast icon into the toolbar I still have always to adjust the actual values.
I want to perform this operation by ONE click. Is there a way to put a customized icon into toolbar which (when clicked) performs always the brightness/contrast operation with my pre-defined values regardless which values are set up currently in the "normal" brightness/Contrast dialog?
In the past week or two, I took time to re-create the tool button config in PSP14 that I've used for many years in Paint Shop Pro. However, the next day I see PSP14 has reset to the DEFAULT toolbars!!
Why did this happen? Was it failure to SAVE the configuration? Are my toolbars lost now? any way to restore besides button-by-button reconfig?
I recently got a new computer, with Windows Vista. I used my wife's existing CD to install Paint Shop Pro 7 (from 2001 - yikes!). It seems fine, except for a few of the preferences. The BIG problem is that the [Printer] button on the Page Setup dialog no longer appears! Here's the verbiage from the PaintShopPro7 user guide:
6To surround the image with a color, click the Background button. When the Color dialog box opens, choose the color. The area of the paper from the image edge to the paper margin will be covered with this color.
7Click the Printer button to open the printer.
8Click OK to close the dialog box and save the settings.
In our drawing office we use Inventor in a mining materials handling environment. Our output is mainly structural drawings where we require a bill of materials as part of creating a drawing. Whenever I insert a BOM in the drawing environment I get this table which is labeled in a foreign language (it looks like an Eastern European language) and the format is not as per the standard Autodesk installation setup.
How do I either revert back to the standard setup or do a BOM setup from scratch?
I am a licensed user of PaintShop Pro X3 with all current updates installed. Yesterday I purchased the ultimate bonus pack online ( Winzip,Painter Essentials, User Guide,KTP and Photolooks) from Corel. The photo looks plugin installed with no problem. The Corel KPT Collection (PSPPX3_KPT_01 set up file) would not install giving me the following error message"The path to the language folder could not be resolved, setup cannot continue".I use Win 7 64 bit
I have a grid set up. say 10X10 each. I then fill in each square of the grid. I get rid of the grid, left with 10X 10 squares next to each other separated by 1 pixel then I do an outline to quickly get rid of the spaces between each square.
Now I I have 12 pixel wide line, now I would like to do an Inline (negative outline) to reduce the line back down to 10 pixel (or less ) wide line.
Since it is not exactly a straight line, but rather than a zig zaging line I can't exactly use the pixel selection tool.
I wanted to use the capture screen feature but when I go to file-import-screen capture - the setup and capture features are grayed out and I can't get to set up. What can I do.
I've downloaded CS4 trial from adobe.com, but when I run setup.exe, nothing happens. Setup.exe is running in task manager, but...nothing. The same installation package works on my friend's PC. I have all required hardware, running XP SP3.
When selecting a brush (for masking etc.) I usually choose any of the round ones ("Basic brushes" group I think), then set the diameter/hardness to my liking before painting with it.
In other words: it seems that I only need one "basic" brush for general use, not 20 or 30.
would it be possible to make my own "group" of brushes where I only have, say 5 or 6 of the brushes I normally use? But at the same time not deleting the other brushes (I just don't want to see a long list of brushes every time).
I have a copy of Photoshop Elements 3.0 which I am trying to load onto my computer. I am having difficulty installing it. It tries to install Adobe Reader, which I already have. It detects that it's already installed, then stops the entire installation process.
I'm green with Videostudio as i use pinnacle before.
The version I use is X5, I want to make a very good quality photo album with the videostudio, I want to make the blu ray, what do I need to set before I start the project? What resolution should I set and where can I set? someone said the AVCHD is the same as bluray, I don't know!
How do I add a new Pagesetup in VB.NET?I know I need the Plot.Settings class and I add it to the Drawing database. How to get started with the code and/or correct object?
I am creating a new descriptor key set and would like to have any points that do not have a current code come in on layer Sort Me. How to set up the key to do this?
I know there are posts about this before, but nothing I can find seems to work. When I launch the Setup.exe, it loads the "Initializing Adobe Photoshop CS3" but when it finishes, Setup doesn't continue. I've tried the cleanup tool, cleaning my registry, rebooting, removing Photoshop from my Add or Remove programs list, removing older versions. Nothing is working.
i open or create a new document the proof setup is set to ''working CMYK'' but i want it to be ''monitor RBG'' by default when i create or open a new document,
Is it possible to set a picture, .JPG or any other type, whether with PS or any other tool, to make the picture unreadable after a certain number of invocations and / or date, w/o the reader having to use any special program? Including resolving the problem of the reader first doing duplicates of the file?
On Color Settings screen I don't know quite what to use.
Top selection was set for "Web Graphics Default" I would use this if I were saving pictures to the Web? But I don't do this very often.
But Most of the time I am getting pictures from digital camera or scanning old pictures to print into a scrap-book, to frame, etc. So what selection would be my best there? Would the "Photoshop 5 Default Spaces" work best there? If not, what would you recommend?
Also, I'm not sure how to set file open commands.
I open a jpg and get a box asking me to these options:
Use embedded profile
Convert document to working space
Discard embedded profile
I've used Photoshop for years and never had to think about this, so am confused. Always use RGB color and save as JPGs. Guess this would have connection to the Color Setting screen?
I am setting up for a new client; all the profiles, blocks, layer/text standard pulldowns, menues, etc. I have never done this before! ( I'm really excited) The first thing I need to do (I think) is set up a new profile that dosn't pull up all my other clients information (Blocks, layer requirments, etc.).

Basically I have some business cards Im trying to print on a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper. There are cutouts in the middle of the page for the cards so im trying to print them exactly inside the cutouts. I measured the sheet myself and I need a 12.70mm offset from the top and bottom of the sheet and a 19.05mm from the 2 sides to get my cards centered in unison with the page cutout. How do you set this up in photoshop? I have CS4 for Mac.
Have created a 42 minute movie that includes the accompaniment track and visuals for musical. I will show the movie via large media projector from the computer VGA out. I'm running 3X in Windows 7.
I am able to access extended desktop, duplicate desktop, etc. via function F4.
I need to be able to PAUSE the video (for live drama) and restart without the controls showing on the big screen. I need to be able to SHOW the movie while viewing the CONTROLS on my monitor display.
Can the "project playback" function be set up to play this way? If not, is there a recommended format I should export to to be able to control the movie this way? Any software recommended to show the movie with a public view and a control view on my monitor?
