View 14 Replieswhat i would like to know is: how can a i make letters "transperent" so that i can fill it with some different backgrounds?
just like in the picture i attached.
I need to create white letters on a transparent background, but don't know how. You can't see white letters on a white background, and if I set the layer to invisible I can't see the letters either.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm making a map and wish to type the name of a few major areas with big letters - but the letters should not cover up too much, ie I'm hoping to have only the outer edges visible of the individual letters and the inside of the letters transparent.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI want embossed type in a form that lightens the underlying image on the highlight side of the embossing and darkens on the shadow side, but leaves the body of the type transparent. How would I do that? I'd be applying some amount of transparency to the text layer, so the type doesn't totally obcure the underlying image.
I generally apply a fairly transparent version of a copyright image in Lightroom, to keep it unobtrusive but still legible, if you really look for it. See the bottom left of the pictures at URL.... I created that copyright image in GIMP or something, but I need to generate some more, and I'd really like to stay in Photoshop.
I am trying to create a watermark for my pics.
I wanted to create some transparent(semi) lettering with a drop shadow so that only the drop shadow is visible.....
For a gif or png file, is there anyway I can get rid of the white outlines they get around them when I display them on web pages?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to wrap a label (just letters) on a transparent capsule which is populated, inside, with instance objects of particles. The label has been photoshopped so that the letters are opaque and the background transparent. Using a Composite Material, with the glass material the Base material, I imported the label and thought it would just show the letters of the label on the capsule. What shows up is the label with a grey background. I can make this transparent by dialing down the opacity, but there must be a better way.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm starting off with a transparent BG, I'm saving the file as a png, and I'm writing in only #FFFFFF white with a drop shadow. I can see it on preview, but when I use color paper, the letters turn out transparent with the slight outline provided by the drop shadow. I can get any other color I want, but why isn't white showing up and how can I generate it?
View 3 Replies View RelatedCS6. I have this logo, red circle w/white letters and superscript 2. It's going to be printed on light gray fabric. I assume that I need to make transparent canvas and transparent letters (lu) so that it takes the gray color of the fabric and not the white background and letters of my file but when I rasterize type, save and open it again I cannot edit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was thinking about a feature which, when you write text, enables you to choose the spacing between letters.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI tried searching the forums for "Transparent Grid" and "Transparent Hex", but I could not find anything.I would like to create an image which is a Transparent Grid or Hex which I could lay over other images, like maps for roleplaying games.
I tried to use the eraser tool to remove all the white space from the image "TransparentHexes.png" (see attached). It was long and labor intensive, but when I tried to copy the image and lay it over another image, it removed the transparent parts and made them white space again, completely covering the underlaying image.
Perhaps there is a way to use the "Paint Bucket" to replace white with transparent? And how do I lay a mostly transparent grid over another image?
About a month ago I created a text using some font (font name is irrelevant, as this problem applies to other fonts as well) and then I saved the file, with white background, as png. Today I'm trying to do exact same thing with with exact same font, but somehow letters look different (a little bit). I'm using the same "text antialiasing" setting (hard), obviously same font size, document has same dpi. Month ago letters looked nice, for example "o" was symmetrical, now it isn't and it looks worse, but most important - different.
I haven't changed anything, haven't installed any updates etc. There's a difference, so something must have been changed, but what. I'm using Win7 64-bit and PHOTO-PAINT X6.
I would like to have a stencil out of letters, for example "sea" and then underly a picture of waves, so that the waves are only in the letters.
Do I need a special plug-in. How can I put something into its negative (black/white -> White/black)?
I wish to centre in both height and width of A4 pages a number of 600 point-size letters to make up a name, one letter per A4 sheet. I need to use Paint.NET in order to make use of Pyrochild's Outline Object. Using the Text tool, how can I centre the capital letter 'I' and the capital letter 'W' in the overall 210 millimetres width, for example? And how can I centre both in the 297 millimetres height?
View 3 Replies View Relatedwhat I am trying to learn/figure out is how to make a huge rusty looking iron-quality letters. I've downloaded some plug ins off and on so not sure what I have but it is not too far off.
What are some must have plug ins to make lettering into metals? I keep trying the tutorials but I think I need to start all over (how humbling). Some instructions come with an assumption that I thought.. err... assumed.. I had retained.
How do you make embossed labels?
This is probably simple compared to some of the questions that get asked here but I am not getting any answers anywhere else.
I know it is probably just a style but I can't get it right. I have an action to do it but it makes it to small and I need it for scrapbooking.
OK I am stuck. I have created a new image. Created a new trasnparent layer and deleted the background. I pasted an exising PNG (with transparency) into the layer. All my tools do not work. I can paint onto the exsiting image but when I try to paint over transparent parts of the layer nothing is shown. There must be some simple setting I dont know about right?
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor some reason some of my filters seem to only work as "embossed." I don't get it. If I try to place a cross-hatch over the entire layer only the edges seem to be affected.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to create a background paper like you see here:
I've tried every combination of bevel/emboss in the layer style with inner glow, outer glow, drop shadows added, but I can't get close to the example. Maybe the layer style of bevel/emboss is not the starting point.
I have a lot of photos with embossed paper in my family archive. I tried to use:Fast Fourier transform plugin Converting multiple scans to smart-object with median or mean stacking mode Many noise reduction filters (Noise Ninja, etc.)But I did not get the ideal result. How can I remove embossing paper pattern and get good result?
In attach crop of original scan (original-crop.jpg) and mean stack (mean-stack-crop.jpg) from multiple scans.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm creating an iPart for Content Centre authoring. I have an Emboss feature that I would like to cut 2 text values into a face. I'm having trouble figuring out how to acheive this through the iPart table. I started by making 2 User Parameters multi-value but came to an abrupt halt as I can't see them in the Table. And I suspect that this approach won't work anyway.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI’m trying to get the embossed text on a nameplate (done in sketch on a part) to change with updating a custom property in iProperties. Right now I’m using iLogic so I can change the text in User Parameters and that updates the embossed text. So where I’m having an issue is the Export Parameters tab is grayed out so I can’t get it work with my custom properties.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had wanted to find a way to engrave/emboss the part number on a part model and have it be parametrically tied to the part number iProperty. Since it doesn't appear that I can create a text box and insert the iProperty directly, here's what I did to work around this. (I setup my part templates to have this out of the box....)
1. Within, the IPT file, add a user text parameter called "PartNo" and set its initial value to any text value.
2. Create your sketch for your text to be engraved. Insert the User parameter you just created.
3. Create the engraving/embossing for your text.
4. Create the following iLogic rule:
' Requires a User Text Parameter called "PartNo" prior to running' Set the appropriate event trigger to tasteIf Parameter("PartNo") <> iProperties.Value("Project", "Part Number") ThenParameter("PartNo") = iProperties.Value("Project", "Part Number")InventorVb.DocumentUpdate()End If
5. I set this rule to fire using the "iProperty Change" event trigger. So if the iProperty is set or changed, your text will update. Obviously, you can set this to run with whatever trigger you like.

I can't remember how that feature was called, but I remember, in earlier versions, that there was a check box in the Brush toolbar to avoid paint on transparent areas when painting over Alpha images. I was able, in example, to paint over a stroke with the brush and don't worry about painting outside, you know... Now there is a feature in the "Mode" selector of the Brush toolbar to paint "behind" or to take effect only over the transparent areas, but... I want just the opposite! Well, I suppose this is just a mind slipping and it must be right under my nose,

View 1 Replies View RelatedPaint shop pro x3 Whoa am I out of date. But maybe there is still hope before I get X6. I am trying to make a background transparent so that when I insert it onto a presentations slide, the item, a Christmas tree, has no background other than what is the background of the slide. I used the background removal process, asked for 0 opacity on the background and still when I save, or paste, it is in a rectangular white box.
I'm missing something simple, I know it. But thats been my day.
How do I essentially make it a stand alone little thing with no background?
