I wish to centre in both height and width of A4 pages a number of 600 point-size letters to make up a name, one letter per A4 sheet. I need to use Paint.NET in order to make use of Pyrochild's Outline Object. Using the Text tool, how can I centre the capital letter 'I' and the capital letter 'W' in the overall 210 millimetres width, for example? And how can I centre both in the 297 millimetres height?

What is the quickest way to centre a selection horizontally? IOW, the equivalent of using Objects > Align > Horz. Center in Canvas (Alt+o+a+z).
I often need to do this to shift titles if I've prematurely merged text layers into the background.
When I print a single sheet to PDF I have no issues. However, when I try to use the publish command I get this error
ERROR: The current device does not support the requested media size.
I'm using the same cutePDFwriter and page layout as I did with the single sheet. Also my 2 co-workers are using the same settings for what I can tell, and have no problems.
I want to create a large sheet of metal, like 1600x1600.
But I don't want it to look too uniform, just too plain. And I want it to look more realistic than a simple grayscale gradient.
This is what I got from fooling around for a bit:
I'm using the publish command to create a set of single-sheet Dwf files. After running publish the dot in my file names have been converted to the undercarage symbol.
example: (1111 - E1.0 sheet name - job number.dwf) this is converted to (1111 - E1_0 sheet name - job number.dwf)
If I do a manual dwf plot, file name does not change.
I installed AutoCad 2011 on a new computer Win7 Prof Off OS. I'm trying to make single pdfs for each dwg that I have. No matter what I select it keeps making one multi page file of all my dwg sheets.
I've tried going under Publish Options > General DWF/PDF and I've tried both Multi-sheet file and Single-sheet file getting the same results. I have the same problem whether I use Dwg to Pdf.pc3 or my Adobe.pc3 driver.
Is it possible to print a single pdf from sheet set manager utilizing acroplot in civil 3d 2011?

I changed my Publish options on the Project Navigator for publishing to PDF as a single sheet per sheet layout. Now I want to put it back so that when I publish it does ALL sheet into one PDF file and I can not figure out how to put it back. Now ever time I publish it does each sheet as a separate pdf.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago I created a text using some font (font name is irrelevant, as this problem applies to other fonts as well) and then I saved the file, with white background, as png. Today I'm trying to do exact same thing with with exact same font, but somehow letters look different (a little bit). I'm using the same "text antialiasing" setting (hard), obviously same font size, document has same dpi. Month ago letters looked nice, for example "o" was symmetrical, now it isn't and it looks worse, but most important - different.
I haven't changed anything, haven't installed any updates etc. There's a difference, so something must have been changed, but what. I'm using Win7 64-bit and PHOTO-PAINT X6.
what i would like to know is: how can a i make letters "transperent" so that i can fill it with some different backgrounds?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am wondering about the text in my images. I am compiling images that end up 1000px across and will use them at 300dpi.
Is it better to put large text into the image whilst it's still large (2-3000px) and then resize down to 1000px or is it better to not subject the text to a resize by resizing the image first (down to the 1000px) and then pop the smaller text straight into the finished size image.
Which was will give sharper text (assuming a 2 point sharpen if resizing the text in a large image). I'll attach a sample image to show the kind of thing....
I learned to move over to PNG this week after reading that the JPG I had been using as 'standard' loses quality, looks like I was the last to find out.......
I need to prepare a very simple poster (one color for back ground and one for the font, no further editing at all) but it has to be around 50x50inch size which is big. I have never worked with such a large images before hence my question.
When I click 'new' and then set print size to 50x50 and 150ppi resolution the file size is around 250mb. Does it really have to be this big? It seems like my laptop cant handle files this big.
Is there some way around it? Vectors? Inscape?

I have a few large pngs that i want to cut up into 192x192 pixel boxes and save all separately. Is there anyway to do this automatically? I could crop each block but that seems like a lot of work.
So basically i want to cut up a big picture into separate smaller pictures quickly?
I would like to request that a single key binding is provided for toggling on/off all four windows (tools, history, colours, layers) at once. In essence this would be a shortcut for simply pressing F5-F8. (The implementation is of course more complicated since at any time the windows could be in one of 16 different states, and how do you know if the user wants everything on or off?)
Perhaps F9 is suitable as it doesn't have any current binding and is a logical continuation of the F5-F8 series.
My rationale behind this request is that I frequently find myself closing all windows when working at high zoom levels and it 'breaks my flow' when I have to remember which F key I need to activate a particular window (my memory is not what it used to be).
Is there a plug in similar to photoshop that allows for a full cut out of a single item in a image?
If not is there a thread that shows a simple process to do so?
Smart Photo Fix box was resizable, or barring that, if the box did not take up over 1/4 of my monitor!
This box obscures far too much of the image I am trying to correct! And it does not need to be this large based on its content!
I'm guessing that this is a super simple question, but evidently I'm not sharp enough to figure it out....I've imported a bitmap file [.tif] into PP, & it's MUCH larger than the letter-size canvas I'm using. So I'm wondering what the simple method is to fit that bitmap to the canvas. The thing that's driving me nuts is, I select this big bitmap [it's roughly 3300 px by 2800 px, FWIW], go into Image > Resample, & under "Image size" it's giving me 11.0 x 8.5! And why PP is saying that the image is already the same size as the canvas--well that's why I'm writing this post. Cause I don't know why.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been reporting this problem in PhotoPaint for many years now, and was hoping it might be fixed with the 64 bit implementation. Sadly, it still does not work. Certainly this cannot be such an impossible problem to resolve.
The last version when it worked was with release 12, which I kept around for quite a while until I switched to a new system. I have tried it on each release of PhotoPaint since then, and it has failed on X3, X4, X5 and now it still fails in X6.
It works with smaller images, but when the image is greater than some 3000 to 4000 pixels wide, the results are totally scrambled..
In a nutshell - I am a seamstress attempting to make a pattern. Well, I have made the pattern - drawn it out on a large sheet of paper. I have manually "cut" it into letter-sized parts and scanned those parts onto my computer (with hash marks so that the parts can be matched back up to make the larger whole pattern).
I have spent a lot of time redrawing the lines in paint.net so they are neat and clean and more even. But then I went to print them and sizing is totally messed up and I am just not able to get my brain around this sizing thing. I need to be able to send these files to customers so they can print them out, put them together and have a pattern.
So, in effect, I have a large image that I want to print in puzzle pieces but they must maintain their *real* *life-sized* size. I'm attaching one of the individual files. What I need to do to it to make it be 8.5" x 11".
I have rather large blueprint that is black and white. Their is some noise around some of the black lines / text / etc on the drawing that I want to get rid of as well as get rid of the white back round all together (which I am hoping will reduce the file size a bit).
How to best remove the white backround / remove the noise from this large drawing?
