I have been asked to quote on a group composite photo of 115 graduating students for a school in my rural area.
I have search the web for a template that will allow me to choose the number of individual photo for the composite and then allow me to insert each student's photo, the year and perhaps a school crest.
I can only find this software that is compatible with Adobe or Elements and I now use Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2...and it does everything I need for my small business.
I make sculpties in Second Life. They need textures and up to this point, I've been doing it by hand, pixel by pixel. Now I want to learn how "real-looking" textures are done by editing the texture maps.
How do I go about applying the beige marble texture on top of the black vase outline but not outside of the lines? It's ok and preferable if the texture is squeezed at the bottom to wrap around. and I'm trying to make it seamless, the marble square at the bottom actually covers the 4th vase side. (the top and bottom outlines are the outside and the right/left are the inside of the vase.)
i want to do is a "calendar like" picture and so i need to make the background of the actual calendar (with the month and dates ) transparent so that only the name of the date and numbers show.
and i would also like to know how the make the sarroundings of a the logo transparent

Rather than just filling everything in and having it look choppy, I'm selecting each pixel with the global Magic Wand and matching the exact transparency. Is there a more efficient way to do this? Then I need to delete the original (background) one, which would be the template.
However when I delete it, the entire picture gets deleted, i.e. also the photos I pasted on top of it.
How can I avoid that?
Additional information:
Very strangely when adding a new layer, though in the layer screen it shows that I am adding them,
when I paste the first photo onto the background, it then becomes the background image, rather than layer number 2.
Whenever I try to print a photocalendar, I get the message "install a printer first". I have several printrers and they work fine printing single photos.

Would prefer a completely blank page (Cover & inside) so that I can create an image in it's entirety elsewhere & load it as an image. I had no problem changing the resolution on paint shop pro until it decided it crash and never reopen. Now I'm trying to figure out how on earth to do that with gimp. On PSP I just went to image/resize and all I had to do was change the 72 to 300. I'm at loss on how to do it with any other paint or photo program.

I have a problem where I am unsure if my upgraded template is incompatible with Revit 2013 or is there something else at play.
If I create a precast stair in default template I get "end with riser" turned on automaticaly. If I copy that stair to my template and create new stair, "end with riser" is turned off and I manually have to adjust stair afterwards.
Problem is "end with riser" is now an instance parameter of stairs and I can't find where to change the default value.
Why is the stair type that works in default template stuffed when copied to my template?
