Paint.NET :: Make Favicon For Website

Aug 8, 2008

I want to make a "favicon" for my web site, and was wondering if Paint.Net does anything along that line, such as converting an image to .ico format.

Favicon stands for Favorites Icon. If you look in your Bookmarks or Favorites section of your web browser, you will see a customized icon next to the listing for a site. That's a Favicon.

Photoshop :: Adding Text To A Website Template

Jan 16, 2006

I'm trying to save a website template. I've made the appropriate slices
to save sections of the canvas as individual images. In its current
state, all the text is saved as an image. Accordingly to make any
changes to the text I need to do all the editing in Photoshop. I would
like to be able to save just the images and have text fields that are
editable in Frontpage or Dreamweaver.

In Dreamweaver tried simply deleting the image splices that contained
text and inserting a text box. When I do so all the other images become
misaligned and my whole webpage is screwed up. I would also like the
text area to be adjusable. Is there any way to make the surrounding
images adjustable to accomodate more lines of text without losing the
alignment of the images?

Photoshop :: Anti-aliasing Turned Off On 72dpi File For Website Template?

Mar 5, 2012

I was instructed on a video tutorial to be sure to turn off anti-aliasing on this web design/template I am making in Photoshop as they did. But all my text is really bitmapped and on the video it is not bit mapped at all. There is no way to email them to ask so I did some research on my own.

I am on a windows 7 system running Photoshop CS4. My file is an RGB 32 bit, 72dpi 900 x 1000 pixels - pixel aspect ratio is set on square pixels and somewhere I read to turn off the fractional widths in the Character panel which I did but my text is very bitmapped. I don't understand why I would turn off anti-aliasing for such a low resolution file for the web - and why the video tutorial shows their type is absolutely fine.

Photoshop :: Trying To Make Website & Need To Figure...

Jun 20, 2009

Ok I'm new to both photoshop and making a website, but I'm diving into both  I know most standard websites have 3 columns to them, the main center website and then the side bars of color/design.  The side bars are what I'm trying to figure out.  The main background color of my website is going to be black, so I would like to have a dark grey side bars but then also wanted to layer 3 different images over the grey, in diagnol rows, parallel with each other, but almost kind of ghosted themselves... Does that make sense? How do I take a picture, and turn it ghosted/transparent almost so that they will show just ever so slightly on the dark grey side bars? Thanks.

GIMP :: Make Image Map With Copyable Text For Website

Jan 4, 2013

If I the image map I use for my website.....could have copyable text.

For instance.... here is a link to a page on my website...the whole body of the webpage is a png image that I made using gimp and the image map option. The problem is that the text is not copyable...since it is part of the image. Is there a way to keep the format as it is, but make the test copyable as if it were a website made by the regular, HTML programming way?

Photoshop :: Modify Image To Make It Suitable For Background On Website

Mar 2, 2013

If you could modify attached background image so it would be more suitable for a repeating background image for a website? I have been already trying to do that by myself for hours (duplicating layers, flipping them horizontally/vertically, offset...), but how to realize that well. The main problem is that gradients and textures on borders are way to rough and it is really noticeable when so small background gets repeated for many times. On top of that, corners have dark shadows which make everything even more noticeable. Please note that attached image should be resized for about 3 times, I'm just posting original image which I have to work with.

Paint Shop Pro :: File Not Transferable To CMYK By Website

Apr 12, 2012

I'm using Paintshop Pro X4 to create images. As these Images are for printing, I need JPG and CMYK. Therefore I use a Internet page called rgb2cmyk.org

But as I upload my files, the dpi is set up from 300 to soething unbelivable high. The Pixel stay the same and so the image gets verry small. If I save them with the old Paintshop Pro 8 I do still have on my Computer, it works perfectly.

So I think, the new Paintshopversion does save a watermark or anything similar on the file and the website can't work with that. How can I fix that??

Paint.NET :: How To Center JPEG (Logo For Website Header)

Nov 3, 2012

I'm trying to center a logo for a website header. Unfortunately, the website builder I'm using won't let me center my image (or I can't figure it out).

The jpeg I want to center is 331x250. I need to center it in a 1000 pixel horizontal space and 331 vertical. I thought I could put the image on top of a white background/image at 1000x331px and center it.

Seems like Layers is what I need, but I can't seem to figure it out. I've watched the tutorial on Layers and am still lost.

AutoCAD Inventor :: How To Make Template For Six Faceted Vase Form

Aug 28, 2013

I'm trying to make a template for a six-faceted vase form.  Basically one side of a sweeped hexagon along a curved path which I would like to Flatten in Sheet Metal.

First, I have a profile:

Then, I add a hexagonal base sketch:

Next I do a sweep using the profile as a guide rail and the y-axis as the axis:

So far so good.  Finally, I select one of the facets and Thicken to 1mm:

After converting to Sheet Metal and setting the Sheet Metal default to 1mm, Sheet Metal will not perform a Flatten because it cannot find any bends.

Is there any way to go about this in Inventor?  Perhaps using some other method than a Sweep?  Any method that produces a flat pattern

AutoCAD Inventor :: Make Aluminum Framed Panel Template

Nov 12, 2012

I would like to make a aluminum framed panel template that I can enter in the height and width dimensions and then save the panel assembly into it's own unique part#. Right now, when I design enclosure, I will have multiple sizes of framed panel and I typically have to manually change the length and width dimensions for the individual extrusion members, then change the panel size manually. I re-name the new extrusions and panels to avoid file name conflicts. Is there a way to simplify the process?

Like I said before, I will have multiple "section"(SEC) assemblies in each main assembly file.

I attached a zip file with my aluminum framed panel assembly.
