View 1 RepliesI have two layers. One is completely red (r255,g0,b0). The other layer is completely green (r0,g255,b0).
How can I make it so that if I lower the opacity of the green layer (which is above the red layer), to 50% that the result is completely yellow (r255,g255,b0)?
I've tried all the blending options, none of them achieve this basic effect. The closest I got was something that looked like a darker orange.
I am attempting to build a facsimilie enigma machine, I would like to know how best to create an effect so that when a key is pressed a corresponding letter appears to light up. Btw I am not looking for an animated image, I can take care of the transitions between on and off, I just need to create the two image states.

Here is an example of what I mean --
:?: how do i do that?
I am trying to blend certain portions of an image where I have done some cut and paste work. I have tried many effects and plugins, but have yet to find a fairly seamless solution (yes I have tried Seamless Texture maker).
I have attached a part of the pic where you can see my copy and paste issues. A
What does the magic wand tool do on PAINT.NET. I need to know What it is for b4 I can follow the instructions referring to me doing something I have no clue about, since I can not be doing it, as I do not know what the function of this tool is. 6 words (or 10) or less?
Or what has happened to the once great function on Adobe software called smudge? Unless I was dreaming, this was a simple function that would allow one to rub two different colored or shaded areas together, to blend them subtly into one color. This allowed one to blend a color or fix a big flaw, with out days of screwing around fixing 1000s of pixels one by one. I am trying to take the shadow out of the background in a picture, I just need to blend the two colors of white together to get rid of the shadow.
Also, why is crop command gone on my paint.net? It will not work. It is there, but it is lite (gone) and will not work.
I have searched the site but am unsure whether or not I need certain plugins etc or whether I will be able to get the required effect without. My problem is I have just been asked to update a website.
I would like to know "IN LAYMANS TERMS" how to keep the style of headers the same but change the images.
I would like to keep the same background of which I have copy but be able to have various pictures added to the right hand side as above with the same fade effect. In my search on the site I saw something about feathering etc but not sure.
Im having problems blending photos together. Here are the steps that Im doing.
1. click on file+new+select image dimensions.
2. select images
3. click on first image hit selections, then select all
4. click edit, paste as new selection
once it paste, the picture is huge, how do I resize it to make it fit on the canvas I selected.
Well I have tried all the video tutorials and instructions found on the net but NOTHING works as yet.As far as the printed results from net searches go I get so far along and then the instructions cannot be followed because the item it says is on the menu is just not there on MY menu.
What I want to do is to take a portrait from one photo (Freehand Selection tool to select JUST the face?) and blend/merge it on the background photo. I want to be able to change the size and opacity of the face so that I get the EXACT result I want.
I am new to the forum, I am creating an image of combined 2 images with the middle overlapping with each other. I was hoping to blend the 2 images in the middle very much like this site here: [URL]....
How do I do that in Corel PSP x3?
first of all i really like to use paint.net.
Actually, i'm looking for a way to blend into transparency at the border of a picture. Watch the attachments - i created a sample (of course with paint.net ).

I would like the ability to blend two colours together that meet at a point so they transition into each other perfectly.
How would I be able to do that?
im having trouble getting the fillet edge command to work. Ive never had a problem with it before but now i get <Modeling Operation Error:
geometry or topology at end of blend too complex Failed to perform blend.Failure while filleting.>
why its not working.
I have been looking for a smoke effect to blend several separate images for a banner. I tried using clouds but couldn't get it to look right.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen using the blend tool to blend colour between two objects is there a way to see the anchor points so I know where to click the blend tool. I realise the cursor changes when over one but its seems very cumbersome to have to move it around until it changes rather than click directly on one which I could do if I could see it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI saw a very neat tutorial for spotlighting a photo in PS [URL]. I tried my darnedest to translate to PSP X4. I naturally went to the the menu bar in PSP, EFFECTS> ILLUMINATION >LIGHTS...
Basically, I can get the light everywhere but the actual area I want spotlighted.
I've got an image with two types of sand in it (light and dark), and I need to try and quantify the quantities of each for a project. Using the threshold tool seems to isolate the two (luminosity, black = 150), but I can't figure out how to tell how much of each color (white and black) there are.
I'm going through the list of plugins, but I'm not seeing anything (perhaps I don't know what to look for though).
Is it possible to create 'Light painting' or drawing, with PDN. Or is there perhaps a plugin that allows you to do that. Here are some examples of what Light Painting is [the images are too big so I just posted links]: [URL] .....
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using Illustrator CC (on a Win7 Pro machine) at a beginner level, probably halfway to intermediate. I'm trying to learn how to blend colors together for highlights of various types (skin tones, clothing, light on objects, etc.) so that when I'm making a graphic for a project I'll have a decent idea of which tool/technique is best for the specific effect I need.
I'm trying to use the Smooth Color option in the blend tool. Late yesterday afternoon I recall creating two ellipses (one of which was a solid fill and one of which was a gradient going from black to transparent) and getting a smooth color transition between the two. It was a much harsher effect than I was looking for so I didn't keep it. This morning, while trying to replicate the same thing, I seem to be unable to use smooth color between two objects if one or more of them has a gradient applied. I only get what you see below, which is a step between the two objects.
I've done searches and found multiple references to blending gradients in this way and have followed those instructions (create the shapes, fill with the gradients, then either click on the Blend tool and click on the center of each shape, or click on Object -> Blend -> Make) but I can't seem to get a Smooth Color blend if either object has a gradient applied. Am I missing an important step somewhere? I'm 95% sure I accomplished it yesterday and nothing has been changed since then.
I have a series of colored rectangles I'd like to blend into a single rectangle with a smooth blend of the colors, like a rainbow or spectrum.

Just taking a photo of my first Orchid of the season. Not the nicest one but ok to do the painting with light test.
Since I'm from Photoshop and they have lighting effects, I'm wondering if I can make a light focus on one direct object, and the surrounding objects are blackened out a bit.
Link me to a plugin.
Is there a plugin like "Light Rays" but instead of giving it that 3d effect, it's just 2d bars in the angle/size of your choice?
i tried searching it up but a whole bunch of threads having nothing to do with it keep popping up and the plugin index .
I am trying to blend two different art brushes with different colors using the blend tool. I'm trying to use two fixed-size line segments of the same length and then applying the two different brushes to those segments ( each art brush is a different color). Then I want to blend them the regular way so their colors transition. However, when I do this, the first shape is a different color, but all subsequent blend steps are the color of the second blended shape. Why is this? It doesn't blend the colors for some reason.

I used to have an effect that creates a light bulb, light glow around its surrounding area.
It also had the option to select light color , adjust the light angles and light rays radius. ( I think the transparency too)
I have a picture which contains a color gradient from white to light blue. How can I set all white parts transparent so I will have a a color gradient from transparent to light blue?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAm a very recent purchaser of Pro X6, and was wondering the best way to separate or 'lift' the darker areas of an image from lighter areas. I have attached an image as an example. Ideally, I'd like to separate entirely everything in the image that is yellow, from everything that is not.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a light-colored image that I want to make a transparent background of without having any of the jagged white edges and whatnot, to make a signature and avatar and so on. I've tried the magic wand, Alpha Mask, and Alpha Space, none of which have succeeded. As I said, the image itself is very light (the attached image), so it's difficult to achieve what I'm trying to do.

I have "group1" and inside that group, only one layer: "layer1". The blending mode for "group1" is vivid light and for "layer1" it's "normal".
Now, if I change "group1" to "pass through" and "layer1" to "vivid light" ... the result is completely different, while it should be the same, shouldn't it?
I've tried to use it, but how to generate the flashing light in a separate object. This is possible because while trying I did it, but now I cannot do it and it does the flashing light in the same layer of the background of the image.
