Mar 1, 2013I must have fat fingered something and I now when I click on the Eraser Tool or the Brush Mask Tool instead of getting a circle or square, I get and icon of the tool instead. They still work but they're harder to use without seeing the circle or square depending on what's selected. I've been using Corel for many years and never had this happen and I can't figure out how to switch back.

May 29, 2009I'm curious if there is a quick and clean way to get text to extend out from around a circle. Meaning, the first letter of each text word is closest to the center of the circle, and the last letter of each word is farthest away from the center of the circle.
I know that I could simply type each word out and manually rotate it with a moved centerpoint, and even step+repeat, but is there no way of drawing a circle and then have the text come out from it?

Aug 31, 2011I am am trying to draw a roof vent cap in 3d. So far, I drew an arc and revolved 360 deg but it leaves a hole in the middle of the solid. Then i extruded it and got the top profile correct but i need the bottom to follow the curve and not fill it completely in.

Photoshop :: How To Cut Circle From Square Image
Sep 3, 2013How I can cut a circle from a square image so that the circle is cut from the exact middle of the square? I use the Elliptical Marquee Tool (M) and drag outwards from the approximate middle of the square (Holding Shift and ALT) but after doing so the transform buttons are greyed out.
So then, how can I position the "circle selection" to the exact center of the square? A few pixels out in any direction will not suffice. I'm using CS6.

I used the transform and the warp tool and got it into a circle, but there were points where it was pinched and it looked stupid.
I thought maybe there was a way to make a circle and use that "pattern" as a stroke for it, but so far I can't figure it out.
i tried making it a brush and needless to say...
We use that square to put around all of our letterhead and official station documents. I've created a CD-Rom media kit of our stuff and want to put it around the edge of the cd label, but unfortunately for me, cd's are round which is not condusive to the template I have....

Oct 8, 2013I have a square selection that I'd like to map into a circle of equal size. I see apply lens and map object...sphere, but neither of these seem to do a proper job.
The algorithm I'm after would basically take the pixels of the square and map them onto their new locations within the circle so that each pixel moves inward toward the center until it reaches its appropriate location along the the line from the origin to its radius.
I'm about to the point to just code it in C++.

Oct 18, 2012I have illustrator CS3 - I am making badges and want to change a picture I already have from a square into a circle. I am taking the notebook with me on site and I am not sure if anything but illustrator can run on it. i.e I know I can do it in photoshop but am worried about the poor little bugger screaming blue murder!
So is this possible in Illustrator? I am open to suggestions for other apps that arent so memory hungry like word; gimp maybe?

I've tried combinations of settings all over the map, but nothing gets even close. The jagged edge just won't go away.
