Paint.NET :: Create A List For All Mini-Brushes In PDN
Sep 13, 2012
Is there a list of all the Simon Brown's mini-brushes created in PDN or do we need to go to the original post in plug-ins or beginner tutorials?
What I was thinking of doing (if there isn't a detailed list) is creating a list of all the brushes in alphabetical order and showing examples of each effect of the brushes. It would make it a lot more easier I think.
I'm using CS4 and am searching for a particular brush - Oil Medium Wet Flow. This brush is already loaded in my pallette but I cannot find out which Brush set it belongs to. Someone asked where the brush is located but am unable to answer, and have spent quite a bit of time looking for it. I have downloaded many brushes so I have a huge list, but I know that it is a default brush. I wondered if there is a list of the default brushes available as I've trawled the internet to find one and so far haven't been able to. What I'm looking for is something that gives me each default brush set and the sub-category of individual brushes within. For example, Assorted Brushes, then all the brushes within that group. It would be really nice to have a list of these I can refer to without having to select the brush set first. Also, is there any way of knowing where brushes are from that are loaded in your pallette?
I want to create my own vector brushes and use them in Photoshop.. I can create them in Illustrator.. but I dont now how to export them to photoshop.. if I copy paste.. they seem to become pixel based again.. and I dont really now how to make them in Photoshop...I recon you have more options in illustrator to create them...
I have just downloaded paint.net and wanted to know if and how to add grunge brushes.I'm new to paint and photoscape.I have Windows 7 with IE 8 browser,if that matters.
I recently downloaded a paintbrush to use in photoshop. I have photoshop cs6.The file I downloaded is an .abr file. Â I clicked on it and it opened photoshop.I can't find the brush. Â There were no instructions with the file. I downloaded from a free paintbrush website. How do I find the brush?
I downloaded Corel Paintshop Photo Pro X3 about two months ago and love it. Everything has been working great for me. I haven't installed any updates, bonuses, or add-ons, mainly because I haven't needed them.
I'm trying to import some premade brush tips. It seems Corel is having trouble recognizing the file types. I originally tried to import an .abr file which wasn't recognized. I converted the files to .png, and got the error message: "the file (C:/users/etc/etc) is a newer format version and unsupported." I used an online "how to" guide when importing these brushes. I wish I could find the guide, but I can't at the moment. I'm pretty sure the directions I followed were accurate, though.
Anyway, what file types will corel accept as brushes? Why am I having trouble importing these brushes?
I recently downloaded the trial version of Photoshop Elements 6.0, and everything worked fine until I loaded some new brushes. Ever since I loaded those brushes, the only color ANY brush will paint in is white. I deleted the brushes, but I still can't paint in any other color.
Has anyone else ever had this problem, and what'd you do to fix it?
I've started to try out digital painting, and have been looking for a paint program with the basic features I want without a bunch of extra stuff to get in my way and slow the program down. I've tried a few dozen programs at least, and so far I like Paint.net the most. There is one problem that is preventing me from using it exclusively over something like the GIMP or SAI, and that is the way it handles transparent brushes.
When I go to paint with an opaque brush the end result is just hideous. I've attached an image to demonstrate what I mean, next to the type of stroke I want that I did in the GIMP.
I'm not sure why it took me so long to realize this, but apparently I have a bunch of double brushes loaded in my Custom Brushes Mini plug in. From the looks of it, I did two things: 1) I added several sets of brushes twice, and 2) On the majority of the sets, I loaded both the brush and the brush preview (from ABR). So now it is registering that I have over 600 brushes, when the number is closer to 350.
Is there a way to delete out those extra brushes and previews from the plug in? I'm expecting it to be slow loading, because of the brushes anyway. But taking off all of those extras would still work quite a bit in speeding things up.
I am trying to created a graphic like image in the following tutorial: Â [URL]...
how to do it right.  1.) At 1:40 into the tutorial, he selects a diamond pattern as a Pattern Overlay effect. However, it's a pattern he created himself. How do I create a pattern like that? 2.) At 4:35, he draws a line with the pen tool having first selected a brush and then strokes the path. However, my path doesn't look like his. It's just a straight line, while his splays out a bit so he's able to create that shining star effect when he rotates a copy. I've attached a jpeg of mine.
What am I doing wrong to not get a line like his? Am I not choosing the right brush. I chose a brush with the diameter of 17 like he does in the tutorial. Does it look like I selected it from a different place?
I just received an almost-new Wacom CTL-470 tablet from my father yesterday, so naturally I began fooling around with Photoshop line drawings and simple art. Â The initial problem I discovered was that, oddly enough, the basic brush tools, when dragged, would not create a solid line. It would only create a dotted line, the spaces between dots varying with speed of the pen against the tablet. Â If I dragged the pen slowly enough (very... very slowly), it would create a kind of shaky line, which was just dots very close together. Â Naturally I thought it was the tablet's fault, but upon trying to use the mouse to do the same function, the problem persisted. Â I use Photoshop CS and I didn't change any settings at all today. Â I would also like to know how I can use my tablet to create a tapering effect with my pen pressure. The "pen pressure" setting in the Brushes menu seemed to have no effect. Â Here's an example of the issue, both in large brushes and a smaller one in the background.
Using the square brush set in CS6 results in a sqaure that is, in fact, not really square...
Note how there are 3 90 degree corners, but the bottom right is rounded, and the bottom and right sides are faded.Am I doing something wrong? How can I fix this?
I have Windows 7 64 bit and PSP x5. Everytime I try to access my brushes, it freezes and the drop down menu won't open to select a brush. If I play with it for an hour or so it will finally come down for a second and I have to select quickly before it closes again. I have lots of memory and hard drive space. I've uninstalled KB2670838 windows update, as another forum suggested for general x5 freezes. I deleted all the brushed from the program file and made a separate folder and pointed XP to it in the file locations. The same thing happened with my tubes, but after continually trying to open them several times, it finally opened and from that point on it worked, not so with the brushes which I need to use in my work.I don't want to have to uninstall and reinstall, it took so long to get all the plugins added and working to have to do that again.
I am using the paintbrushes and all I can get is black. How to you change the colors on the Paintbrushes? I have clicked on the "Color Options" in the Paintbrush toolbox but nothing happens.
Is there a way to make transparency on custom brushes? I had an idea to make custom brush sets similar to those used in photoshop. I know in Photoshop, Custom Brushes are done with opacity maps With white being transparent and black being full color and all the greys in between being different levels of transparent. I've tried doing that with custom brushes mini and I've also tried making the images transparent, but I just cant seem to make it work. I can get either completely solid and completely transparent. But nothing in between...
i know this question is very general but are there any tips on creating outer and inner corner points for pattern brushes in Illustrator? The pattern brushes that are already installed with illustrator have very smooth corner points that blend well, even around quite sharp inner and outer corners. But when i create my own pattern brushes, i just dont seem to get it right.
I paint for a long time with Photoshop. I always tried to set up my brushes so that the paint strokes look as realistic (for example like pencil or like acrylic brush strokes) as possible.
The problem is, when i Google for realistic brushes i always find only scanned brush/pencil strokes or scanned flowers and so on. But i need the brush settings to make the Photoshop brush behave like a pencil, marker or acrylic brush.
This morning I was trying to get the color dynamics to work with the paint brushes. It seems that in 2.8 the "Color to Gradient" dynamics tool was taken out. (However, in the dynamics there are many cool options to choose from, just not gradient.) So getting frustrated, I searched the web after someone mentioned the "Color to Gradient" dynamics and I found this tutorial on creating a "Color to Gradient" dynamics from the dynamics editor.
How can I go to see next image from the folder list in situatiom when I opened some picture, and looking at it? There is no arow for "next image"? As i see, I must open all pictures from sam folder, and then I can use ctrl-tab to go to see any picture from the folder list.
We have a project where we have the model separated by discipline, arch, struct, mech and Elec. As I work on the arch model, I have all other models linked, each has generated its sheets. When I create a sheet list I only get the sheets on my model. Is it possible to create a sheet list from linked models?
