View 4 Replies View RelatedI need do a customized TXT file create with some data the Part List and some data from Sheet.
Our ERP software read this TXT and register the Assemby in our database.
The final TXT result must be like red lines below:
C 100000-GS-005 100000-GS-005 5 Conjunto placas CJ
E 100000-GS-005 100000-GS-056 01
E 100000-GS-005 100000-GS-055 01
The columns where each text starts must be column 1, column 3, column 18, column 33, column 71.
Letter "C" means that this line is an Assembly
Letter "E" means that is a part.
Number "5" in the first line not change.
The number "01" in the lines 2 and 3, means the quantity of each part on the assembly.
How to create a revolve surface in an assembly for the purpose of measuring a flow area through a specific area? See the attached JPG, I basically have a conical internal diameter with a pin protruding into it..... I need to measure the flow area as shown in the sketch attached here. the way I have this shown in the attached JPG is the way that we had previously performed this in Pro-e.
View 9 Replies View RelatedCreate a form with combo box that user can choose one option for the line notes, would be 15 lines with 15 combos, and if necessary the user should be ale to type something insted of using that pre defined option from combo.
I have 2 ideas to make that work, untill now im trying with this 1º but nothing yet.
First Idea:
Create some (15) boolean parameters to enable each line of this NOTE and when the user choose or type one option, that text go directly to one textbox into a Symbol with the 15 lines. I actually dont know how to make this connection, tried some stuffs that found here on forum, but some are too complex.
Second idea:
Instead of create parameters to control everything, i would create all the controls by iLogic, but that is harder then create many and many parameters ? And by this way, i dont know how to conect one INPUTLIST BOX with a pre defined Global form, or, is easier to create a form by ilogic (if that is even posible ofc) ? And still dont know how to make the connection with the chosen option and the text box.
That is just to "centralize" all my notes, that can be variable for each drawing, that way i dont need to have too much symbols for each kind of note, or even have to type everytime that i need one diffent. Would be nice if the user could just choose them in the right sequence he wants.
I have a macro that I acquired somewhere (possibly these boards, can't remember now) for placing a parts list. I have modified it somewhat to change the location on the sheet where the list gets placed, as well as a sub that starts the autoballoon command afterward.
The macro is set up to place the parts list in the upper left corner, by adding the parts list width to the Mini Point of the border. This works perfectly well, except that we have two parts list styles, and they are differently sized.
What I would like to do is have the macro detect the parts list style, and change the offset value depending on which style it finds. I am an extreme novice with the API, who basically knows just enough to tweak sample code a bit, and have not been able to find anything close enough to use as an example.
How I should go about this, or even post some samples of something similar? Current code is shown below.
Public Sub CreatePartsList() On Error Resume Next ' Set a reference to the drawing document. ' This assumes a drawing document is active. Dim oDrawDoc As DrawingDocument Set oDrawDoc = ThisApplication.ActiveDocument 'Set a reference to the active sheet. Dim oSheet As Sheet Set oSheet = oDrawDoc.ActiveSheet ' Set a reference to the first drawing view on ' the sheet. This assumes the first drawing ' view on the sheet is not a draft view. Dim oDrawingView As DrawingView Set oDrawingView = [code].......
The macro does not have to set the parts list style - that is controlled by the drawing Standard. It just needs to detect what it is, and place the list accordingly.
Im trying to create a list of text strings to select from defining material thickness and then plug that selection into a global form custom iproperty called "MaterialDescription".. Also, is it possible to access and pre-enter field text edit items in iLogic?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow to list the area of a polyline or by points and have the output displayed in acres?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a string of 3d solids (cubes if you will) lined up in a row. I have a 3D Polyline starting below each one cube. (each polyline is a different layer name). As the line enters the cube, it then turns left in the center... and goes through the other cubes to its left till it reaches the end. So the left most cube has each line going through it, and the right most cube has only one 3dpolyline. I am looking for a way to create some kind of tangible data I can display, export or extract of what layers are going through cube one if I select it. Same for cube 2, 3, ect...
I have dummied down the example due to having 44 cubes, and not all in a single row, or this question would be an easier answer.
So is there a command, or a lisp routine I can create or manipulate to give layer names that float through a 3D Solid?
I find conflict area between list command for hatch and calculation.
when do you make calculation list of plines 2381.399
when do you make calculation list of hatch 2545.948
I cant seem to find filter select or a list view for the record area. Both of these functions come in handy on feature films and episodic television especially vfx heavy shows.
View 2 Replies View RelatedTo workaround the missing API for creating Parcel Area Tables, I have tried the following:
1. Create a "pick point" selection set (using ObjectARX), containing the Parcel for which I want to create a table.
2. Execute the AddParcelTable command.
3. Programmatically push the Select Parcel-button and the OK button of the Create Table dialog using win32 API.
When the Select Parcel button is pressed, the label next to it displays 1 parcel(s) selected and when the OK button is pressed, Civil prompts the user to pick the upper left corner of the table, but the prompt is immediately interrupted with the message "Invalid 2D point" and the table creation is aborted...

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have no background with AutoCAD 2013, but my boss has given me the software and tasked me with taking entire floor plans of an individual floor .dwg and create smaller areas of each floor into separate, new .dwg's (like several rooms together) that then could be converted into .pdf's for sharing and/or printing. I have tried to find a simple tutorial or explaination of how to do this, but AutoCAD is such an amazing and complex tool that I'm having trouble with the terminology even.
I was right-clicking on the 'Model' tab to create a 'New Layout', right-clicking that to get to 'Page Set-Up Manager' and 'Modifying that to select 11 x 17, Landscape, and 'Adobe PDF' in the Printer dialog box. When I worked in the new Layout window sometimes I could zoom in to a section of the floorplan and then go to 'A' button in the upper left corner and select 'Print' and sometimes the resulting .PDF file would be that smaller section, and sometimes it would still just be the whole floorplan.
I've never tried this in AutoCAD before. I would like to create a simple rectangular area with a circle in its center. When this area is hatched, the circle is hollowed out. Furthermore, I'd like to have this to insert into a block for stretch action manipulation. Is this possible with AutoCAD 2010?
View 7 Replies View RelatedAny way to create a parts list for HDPE pipes where instead of a manhole connecting different pipe sections will run continuously with coupling and elbows and it will connect to other pipe segments using wyes. Is this possible? The pipe should be able to bend either horizontally or vertically like any HDPE pipe. Any HDPE library?
My other question is once I have the layout of the pipe is it possible to calculate the trench excavation and backfilling?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've spent the last week and a half creating blocks that have between 2 and 10 visibility states in order to represent the separate iterations of common valves.
I would like to construct a lsp and dcl (we work off of a network drive that would enable a stable location for an accompanying dcl file along with the base lsp, though I believe that in order to do what I'm wanting done some on-the-fly dcl manipulation may be necessary) that would display the current drawings in our dynamic block folder and upon selection within the first List_box, would display the different options for visibility states for the block in the 2nd list_box. After a user selects one of the visibility iterations that are now displayed in the 2nd list, an image preview (or slide, I can handle creating the different slides for each block once if required) of how the block will be displayed in the selected visibility state would be shown in what would be the 3rd space, this time an image preview and not a list_box, though I would like proportionality between the list_boxs and the image preview. Some white space is allowable in the list_boxes.
I'm not even sure if this would be possible, but I'm assuming you can access the different visibility states in the same manner that you could access polyline verticies or block definition attributes.
I am looking for a way to use the .dwg file properties of a drawing to generate an updateable drawing list/register. One that will update automatically as the file properties are updated. I have already created a title block that uses text fields to display custom properties of the file on my title block, such as the job no., drawing no. etc.
I have searched the web for answers, came across this site, joined and searched through it... There are a number of threads that 'sorta' deal with my needs but alway tend to digress more towards the "poster's" needs and away from mine. I noticed that they all talk about Lisp Routines and I have no knowledge of using them. Is that the only way to go or can I use another route? Another one was the Sheet Set Manager but I don't think that this is exactly what I am looking for...
I am looking for a way to create a master list of construction notes then use blocks attributes with fields to link to that master list. That way if the master list changed the note bubbles would change as well.
Sheet sets are being used with this project but I can't think of a way to make it work with the existing sheet set technology.

I am trying to make a selection and an inverse of the selection and put each on a seperate layer to do adjustments seperatly without having to go back and reselect the desired area. It seems to disappear after the new layer is created.
Is there a better way to accomplish this, what am I missing?
I need to recreate this dial and I've learned how to create evenly spaced tick marks within a circle, but this is an ellipse. Here, I attempted to draw two ellipse then used the scissors to cut them to size. Then I used the line tool and drew each of the tick marks. Then I adjusted the weights of each tick. This is not a good method because the end ticks are not meeting the ends of the ellipse perfectly, leaving a tiny bit of tick mark outside the ellipse. Here is what I ended up with:
But this is what I need to create: (I only need to create the arched part with tick marks of this dial)
Is there a list of all the Simon Brown's mini-brushes created in PDN or do we need to go to the original post in plug-ins or beginner tutorials?
What I was thinking of doing (if there isn't a detailed list) is creating a list of all the brushes in alphabetical order and showing examples of each effect of the brushes. It would make it a lot more easier I think.
I have been using Gimp for awhile (love it!) and have always used layer masks with no problems. But for some reason when I create a layer mask by filling in an area with black it isn't 100% opacity. Everything seems to show 100% opacity, but I can see the layers underneath (the mask is maybe at 90%??). If I "show layer mask" it is black where it should be and white where it should be, it doesn't look transparent. All my layers are set to "normal" mode. I'm at a lost as to what setting I must have changed?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am drawing animations with the brush tool onto a black solid layer which is set to add blending mode.
My goal is to create a mask on the solid layer to hide a certain area of what I drew... but it doesn't change anything.
I noticed when I add another effect to the layer (such as curves) the mask does hide that area of the effect, but thats not exactly what I'm trying to do.
ps. I have After Effects CS6
I've recently migrated from AutoCAD 2008 (non-industry specific) to AutoCAD 2010 so I don't know if this was an issue in 2009.
Back in 2008, when I choose the 'window' option when specifying a plot area, AutoCAD would show the workspace so that I could manually select a windowed plot area, and at the same time the whole workspace would be greyed out except the previously active window area.
This was handy, because we can have as many two dozen title-blocks (and therefore separate viewports) in paperspace, and knowing what plot area I last plotted or added as a saved page setup.
In 2010, it no longer does that. I now have to rely on the dashed border to know where the active plot area is/was (checked 'display printable area' in options>display tab) which I personally don't really like using.
