View 1 RepliesThe camera profiles are not visible in the camera calibration menu in the develop module of Lightroom 4. I installed them using the installer that came with the profiles. What folder are they supposed to be in so I can use them (Windows 7 x64)? Where is the documentation?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI've spent hours trying to figure this out, but to no avail. I'm running LR 4.3. I have a Nikon D600 but am not able to see any profiles for it at the following path: C:ProgramDataAdobeCameraRawCameraProfiles. It is my understanding that the D600 is now fully supported, yet I don't have the profiles for it in the Profiles folder (or anywhere else for that matter). What am I missing? Where are the D600 profiles?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was reorganizing/rationalizing my hard drive file folders outside of Lightroom. Now not all the images in the folders show up in Lightroom 4.4
For instance:
In a 2014 folder there are 25 files. Lightroom's Folders panel shows the number as 15. If I try Import it shows all 25 files but the missing 10 are greyed out and thus not available for import.
If I Syncrhonize the folder, the little dialog says there are 10 files to be imported, but when I click Synchronize another dialog comes up saying there are no files to import.
LR5 stopped listing my previously imported folders/files from my external drive. They show up in the Import dialogue but as the images were previously imported, they are "grayed out" and cannot be reimported. How do I get LR to list them?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI save a photo that I've edited in photoshop cs5, either jpeg or tiff, and when I go to Lightroom 3.6 I can not locate the file. It shows up in bridge under the right location. I reinstalled both Lightroom and photoshop and no change.

Iam using latest imac and running osx 10.8.2.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy the aren't showing now but the exported files data to that folder is at zero. What I can do to make it reflect what's in the folder?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThey're suppose to be the same as EOS-1D X files and LR and CR opens these files fine.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have been using Lightroom 5 happily for several months with no problems. A few weeks ago, I started getting the message at the import screen that previews were not available. This was OK, I just guessed on which I needed to import.
Starting last week, I cannot import files from either of my cameras. On the import screen, when it is trying to find files, it just hangs up. Have let it go for half an hour and nothing. When I click "cancel", I get the message that Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to close.
I have tried purging the cache, though I'm not sure it is working, as I never get any message that the purge has been successfully completed. I click the button and nothing happens. I have tried starting a new catalog in case my other one is too big (approx 14,000 images), but same problem. I have tried installing the beta 5.2 version, still same problem.
I would love a solution to this, as for now I am having to import the NEF files by just dragging them to a folder on my desktop, and then importing the files from that folder into lightroom (when importing from folders on the computer, I have no problems).
I just applied the Lightroom 5.3 and Camera Raw 8.3 updates and now am no longer able to open RAW or DNG files into Photoshop CC. When I select a file and choose "Edit In" Photoshop, photoshop will launch, then nothing will happen. After 2 to 5 minutes, an error will popup in Lightroom saying "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CC could not be launched." An error I've never seen before. When I click "Ok", Lightroom will show that it's "preparing a file for editing" in the upper left, it will create and save a psd to disk and in the catalog (another new behavior), then it will open in photoshop. All other file types (jpgs, tiff, psd) seem to work/open fine between applications. No difference if I open photoshop prior to selecting "Edit In". Selecting "Edit In" other applications, like Viveza, work fine.
I tried first deleting preference files in both applications. No luck. Ditto for plugins. Notta. Eventually I completely uninstalled and fresh installed Photoshop, Lightroom, and Bridge from the cloud. Same deal...can't open raw/dng files into Photoshop.
I'm on a PC running Windows 7 64bit.
I can't seem to get the cameraraw adjustment dcp files to show in lr5.2 they worked great in lr3.
What should I do(I use qpcard 203) ?

Now i would like to be able to use my own camera profiles with LR with my .tiff files - when i open the RAW files (an old version is supported, so they can be opened) the profiles are availiable as expected, but when i change to the .tiff version of the file, the profiles are gone.

I have just bought a Panasonic GH3 which is able to sync and add GPS data to images from my phone to the camera.
On importing the files to LR 4.3, the GPS and Altitude sections of EXIF remain blank. On the import preset I use, the Camera Info section is all unticked.
If I go to the folder where I store my image files (the folder which LR catalogues) after the import and drop the file on to Exiftool, all the GPS information is listed there. That is, the LR import RW2->DNG has retained the information. It is there but not displayed.
I have just noticed that new PSD files (with transparent backgrounds) are displaying in Lightroom with a gray background where the transparent areas are in the image.
Has this change happened in the 4.4 update on the Mac? I can see previously imported files show a white background but when I click on it to view in Develop mode it the tranparent area of the picture changes to gray.
I would prefer this to be white (as it was), is there a way to change this in LR as I really don't want to have to open each image in PS and drop in a white layer behind it.
This was working fine before but has now changed, I hope I haven't altered something in the preferences as I can't see a way to change it. I'm not referring to the Background colour in LR prefs as that just changes the area surrounding the image, I am referring to the transparent area of my pictures.
Will there be an upgrade for Lightroom 3 or Lightroom 4 to allow direct processing of RAW files from FUJI PRO X-1 camera ?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have LR4, and once I make some develop changes I've been exporting the files I want to use as DNG. I then open them in PSE10 to make final edits. It's been working fine, actually I had an older version of Adobe Raw in my PSE on my other computer. So when I opened in PSE it would ask if I wanted to conver to compatible version to edit in camera raw. I always said no b/c I didn't need to do anymore raw edits. Now that I have installed PSE on my new computer, it has the new ACR version I guess. When I open the DNGs to edit now I no longer get this error message, but it's showing my contrast, etc. as a standard raw setting instead of the changes I made in LR. Some are showing....like vibrance, but "recovery" which I know is "highlights" in LR, and other things are not showing correctly. I know that the options are different, but I don't want to use the ACR settings that it's using when I open the file, or have to go through them again.

When I import CR2 files (Canon RAW) that have XMP files alongside them into my Lightroom 4 catalog, Lightroom correctly reads image adjustments from XMP files and assigns them as Develop settings for the newly imported photos. This is how I expected it to be. Lightroom assigns older process version to these files, as it should be.
One quick question I have though: once I imported all these CR2 files into my collection, is it safe to delete all those XMP sidecar files immediately? I assume that Lightroom stores all Develop settings in the catalog file at the moment of the import and that XMP sidecars are no longer necessary. Is that correct? Or do I have to enter the Develop mode with each imported file first, before deleting the XMP in order to make old settings to "stick"?
