Lightroom :: Where Are Camera Profiles - Not Showing Up In 4
Sep 19, 2012
The camera profiles are not visible in the camera calibration menu in the develop module of Lightroom 4. I installed them using the installer that came with the profiles. What folder are they supposed to be in so I can use them (Windows 7 x64)? Where is the documentation?

I've spent hours trying to figure this out, but to no avail. I'm running LR 4.3. I have a Nikon D600 but am not able to see any profiles for it at the following path: C:ProgramDataAdobeCameraRawCameraProfiles. It is my understanding that the D600 is now fully supported, yet I don't have the profiles for it in the Profiles folder (or anywhere else for that matter). What am I missing? Where are the D600 profiles?

After installation of LR 4.3, my custom camera profiles are no longer recognized. They are still in the correct folder along with the other camera profiles installed by LR but these custom profiles are not shown in the drop down list in the Camera Calibration panel.

how a raw file looks in LR straight out of the camera using the Adobe Standard profile.
and this is how it looks with the profile set to Camera Standard. It seems as though the Adobe Standard profile is clipping the green channel in the magenta shades for some reason.
Clearly switching to another profile will solve it but my presets often set the profile so it's a bit of a nightmare.

I shoot RAW with a Canon 5D Mark II. I am using Lightroom 3. All of the sudden I can't find my camera profile settings in the Develop Module under the Camera Calibration Panel. They used to be there and now they are gone. "2010" is selected under the Process bar, but only Matrix shows up as my available Camera Profiles. What did I do to make them disappear? I can't think of anything that I could have done. Haven't done much except edit photos and now my profiles are missing! How can I get my camera profiles back?

I have this message when I start Lightroom 3 (roughly translated from french) "Missing camera profiles : some of your camera profiles are missing, that may alter the rendering of your raw files. Reinstall lightroom to restore them."
I did try to reinstall LR3 but without success. I'm with Lightroom from v1 an did upgrade to v2 then v3. I remember that I did remove a folder in the lightroom folder that I thought to be related to LR2 after upgrading to LR3. That's probably when the problem starts to occurs.
what are these missing files and how should proceed to restore them ? Where they installed by an older version ? I'm shooting with a D80 DSLR.

Is there a limit to the number of profiles that can be added to Camera Profiles in LR4? Presently there are 9. I added one via the Library/AppSupport/Adobe/ACR/Camera profiles route where it appears. It does not appear when Camera Profiles are opened in LR4 however.

I am using lightroom 5 on a windows 8 pc and can not get any camera calibration profiles to show up. I have 14 profiles for my Sony SLT-A65 in my cameraprofiles folder and a corresponding camera folder with also has these profiles. I have checked all file attributes and the only thing I see differrent from some other camera profiles is the file ownership is adminisrator instead of system. Also Photoshop does not see any camera calibration profiles either. I have done a lightroom installation repair from original disk which didn't fix. I have all my lens profiles which work fine. I have tried renaming profiles from SLT-A65V to SLT-A65 to match what shows up on displayed file information.

I'm using LR to process DNG files from Leica M 240.
I understand LR has some extra profiles ( "Camera Faithful, Camera Portrait, etc" ) for some Canon and Nikon camera models.
As under "Camera Calibration -> Profile" I can only see "Embedded" or "Adobe Standard", does it mean these extra profiles don't exist for Leica M 240?

LR4.1 on OSX 10.7.4.
For the D700, LR has several "extraneous" camera profiles that I don't care about: a half-dozen or so D2X profiles(?), and both pre-v4 and v4 versions of the five standard ones (standard, landscape, etc.)
I would like to get rid of the extras, i.e. take them off the list, to make choosing the profile I want easier. IOW, I would like there to just be the five v4 profiles on the list.
For LR3.6, the profiles were in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Camera Raw/Camera Profiles/Camera. I zipped up the profiles I didn't want, then deleted the individual files, and everything worked great, i.e. LR only showed the five remaining profiles.
However, 4.1 apparently doesn't use that location, because it still shows the entire list. I poked around a bit and found the profiles apparently embedded in the app directory, i.e. LR.app/Contents/Resources/Camera Profiles/Camera. That seems … odd. (Do both Photoshop CS6 and LR4 have them embedded in the respective apps, thus duplicating all of those files?) In addition, it makes it harder to do what I'm trying to do, because OSX complains that LR.app can't be changed.
So, is there a "valid" way to do this in LR4.x?

I'm using both Lightroom 3.5 and Photoshop CS5 on a 64-bit Windowx XP-Pro system with 8GB of RAM and plenty of disk space.
I use an X-rite color checker to generate custom camera profiles whenever I do portraits or other color critical photo sessions. The camera profile is generally placed in the "Documents and Settings...{user...}Application DataAdobeCameraRawCameraProfiles " folder.
When I try to apply a profile in either lightroom or ACR the newely created profile is not visible in the camera profile drop-down box. When I check to see if the profile exists in the appropriate folder, it does.
I've used color profiles before and have always been able to create and select a profile. Now I'm no longer able to do this. I would prefer to not re-install all my Adobe software since then I'd have to reinstall all the updates and plug-ins.
How can I get lightroom and ACR to see these profiles and use them?

Just came back from the camera store after testing out the Nikon Coolpix P7800 and Sony RX100ii. Imported the RAW files into LR 5.3 to compare the image quality of the cameras. I noticed that I could not assign camera and lens profiles to the photos. I currently have a Nikon P7100 which does show up in the drop down list and have had no problem doing lens corrections for the older camera. I thought the P7800 and RX100ii cameras were added in the latest update.

I downloaded some camera profiles from the net, I placed the .dcp files in the right place and now I can use them, except for the following problem: TWO of these profiles having a (of course) different file name, share the same internal name ("Standard").I'd like to give credit to the original author and (say) rename it to "Standard made by XYZ". Is there a way to edit it? (Hex-editing the binary file is ok, but I'm not sure it will work... do profiles have an internal checksum?)

I have a camera not (really) supported directly by LR - so i use .tiff files created by the camera bundled software. This works fine,
Now i would like to be able to use my own camera profiles with LR with my .tiff files - when i open the RAW files (an old version is supported, so they can be opened) the profiles are availiable as expected, but when i change to the .tiff version of the file, the profiles are gone.

I recently returned from a photo trip where for the first time I used multiple camera bodies (I purchased a second 5D MII body).
When importing my photgraphs into Lightroom I find all the correct lens profiles are available to images shot with my original 5D MII body, but images taken with the new body are only presented with a default list of 15 profiles, which don't include several of the lenses I used.
I'm using LR 3.6 on Windows 7 64 bit and find that the full list of lens profiles is in the folowing folder:
C:ProgramDataAdobeCameraRawLensProfiles1.0
I also found the following folder present on the PC which had no profiles but and empty Dowloads folder.
C:UsersUserNameAppDataRoamingAdobeCameraRawLensProfiles1.0
So tried copying the profiles here but that didn't work either.
How I can correct this problem get all my profiles avalable to both bodies? I tried exporting the images to photoshop and downloading lens profiles via the Lens Correction Filter but that didn't work either.

I've been using custom profiles that I created using a ColourChecker Passport for sometime now. I just updated LR and ACR to the latest versions, and I've noticed that they are no longer selectable under the Camera Calibration tab - I just get the standard list of profiles for my camera (Nikon D7000).
I checked in the the relevant folder for LR and they weren't there, but they are in the ACR folder. I copied them across to the LR folder as well, but this has had no effect. In both cases, they're in the root-level folder for all profiles, so in LR's case, they're in C:Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.3/resources /CameraProfiles. This is where both the CCP and Adobe DNG Profile Editor have previoulsy placed them by default - I've never needed to place them in the actual camera model folder itself. Both applications have always found them there without issue.

I installed Xrite ColorChecker Passport software and loaded a couple of custom profiles in the develop module under camera calibration. There was a glitch in the software and it did not allow me to name those profiles. Once I uninstalled that version and loaded the newer version the naming process works fine. I would like to be able to delete the unname profile out of Lightroom but I am not seeing how that can be done.

I shoot photos with a Nikon D2X and my wife uses a Nikon D70. If I open a D70 raw file, and then go to camera calibration, the profiles available are for various standard profiles and D2X profiles. The D70 profiles do not show in the drop down list. All of the profiles have been downloaded, from Adobe, and installed.
If I open a D2X raw file, the standard and D2X profiles are shown in the dropdown box.
Have I missed something in the installation? Do the profiles have to be loaded somehow?
