I have a problem when switching between different programs, eg LR, Word, itunes, Firefox. When returning to LR, it has moved behind the task bar which is fixed on the left on my screen. Since the file menu is then covered by the task bar I have to shut down LR frequently via the task bar. This only happens with LR. I am using LR 3.4 on Win 7 Prof 64bit on a Sony notebook.
View 7 RepliesAfter I position a crop on an image it keeps moving up, to the top of the image, after I deselect the image. I did use the upright functionality at first but turn it of to do it manually. Maybe this feature has left some settings in the LR develop settings for this image. I could post some screenshots if that will work.
View 29 Replies View RelatedI'm new to lightroom but have watched all the tutorials on the Adobe site. I imported photos going back to 2002 and have been reorganizing them within Lightroom. I've been organizing in new 'year' folders, and moving photos and folders into these new folders, then I've been removing the old folders. So in lightroom I now have nice neat folders 2002-2009 on my Mac hard drive, and 2010-2013 in my Box sync folder (also on hard drive but syncing to Box online). The trouble is, the moves haven't been reflected on the Mac itself. When I look in Finder, the folders are broadly as they were before I started moving things.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am currently using dual monitors and whenever I open or create a new document in CS2 it wants to go on top of the menu bar till I move it. This gets annoying after a while when trying to edit multiple documents. Is there a way to make the Menu bar always on top and the documents to just live in the work space below it and never go ontop of the others? I know this was possible in earlier versions of photoshop.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI am running Lightroom 4.1 on two Macs, both running 10.7.4. On one of the machines the Alt/Option key does not work properly in the Develop module.
When I hold down the Alt/Option key and move the Exposure or Blacks slider I expect to see the clipping display. Instead this action moves the whole of the sidebar of the user interface. I can move it to any place on the screen and off the edge of the screen. Clearly this should not be possible.
The problem machine has a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet attached, so I have tried updating the Wacom drivers, and also removing the Wacom software completely. Neither solves the problem. My other Mac does not exhibit this problem.
when I click on the hdr toning menu it comes up too large, it obscures the image and I cannot move it around as the blue border at the top is not there...is there a way I can make that menu/window smaller...so that I can see the image and move it around...the sharpen image is quite large as well but there is a plus/minus widow which allows to see the image

This happens for all selections in the Colours menu; all the other menus are working fine.

I've installed CS6 (CS5 is still on the machine), and in the Bridge Menu, there is no longer a Batch menu item for initiating actions.In Bridge's Edit/Preference command, I have the Startup Scripts checked.There are no files in the "Startup Scripts" folder.
I don't see a "Startup Scripts" folder in CS5, only in CS6.I can still do batch operations directly from Photoshop CS6's automate window, however, I like the ability in Bridge to select specific files on which to run the action.
I signed up for Adobe Creative Cloud, so that I could evaluate the latest version of Illustrator and Photoshop. I downloaded and installed Illustrator, however my computer crawled after the install. So I had to do a System Restore back to before the download and install of Illustrator.
After the System Restore, I again downloaded and installed Illustrator. The program showed up in the programs menu. I then downloaded and installed Photoshop and Dreamweaver. But after that, two separate versions of Photoshop show up - regular and 64 bit (I only downloaded and installed one version of Photoshop), and Dreamweaver. Illustrator no longer shows up in the Windows 7 Programs menu. How is this possible???
I looked in C:Program Files, and a 342MB Illustrator CC file is there. But I cannot find a .exe file in that file, and so cannot start Illustrator.
Worse still, when I try to download and install Illustrator once again, Adobe Creative Cloud shows me as having downloaded and installed it already, and that it is working perfectly - which is of course, NOT TRUE! Creative Cloud will accordingly not allow me to download and install Illustrator again! So while Creative Cloud thinks I have a worling version of Illustrator CC to try out and evaluate, I in fact do not!
What happened, and why the version installed in Program Files folder is not showing up i the Programs Menus of Windows 7, and or what I can do to get Illustrator to start up.
All the products installed on my Win 7 Pro 64 Start Menu show the jumplist properly, including Corel X5. This is not working for X6. Yes, I know I can use the Open Recent. menu once I am in CorelDraw.

Everything is locked and I'm quicky getting frustrated here and wondering why I paid money for something that won't work they way I need it to.
I mean using Namo web editor wasn't this hard, it was easy right out of the box, and every button worked how it was suppose to and did not lock the image or lock up at all.
It's gotten so that I have to shut down photoshop and restart just to do anything or create another layer to unlock an image. Then, none of the buttons won't work after the 1st working, I click on elliptical and it does nothing, but display a double headed arrow.
I am producing some discount cards for a buisness and will place eight of them on to size A4 document, how can I divide the document automatically so that eight equal spaces appear repeated across the page. I have tried defining a pattern but did not work the way I wanted.

On bigger events it would greatly reduce the waiting time for the processed files. Instead of one computer working for two hours, maybe two machines could do it in an hour?
Of course I can split the files and start two separate batch tasks on separate computers but a task server would make the workflow easier. 3D and video software have a lot of options for distributed rendering..
I am trying to batch plot a series of IDW drawings through task scheduler, the results is the wrong proportions and size, I am wondering if there is setup command in task scheduler that can be modified or if the proportions are wrong due to the IDW setup within Inventor itself i.e. page not setup correctly.

I have a .NET plugin that loads an ArcSDE geodatabase layer programmatically using AcMapMap.LoadLayer(layerFilepath). I have been trying to programmatically remove the layer from the Task Pane using AcMapMap.GetLayers().Remove(layer), but this function is returning 'false' and is not removing the layer.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI´m having a problem with the Inventor 2012 Task Scheduler. I´ve done a couple of migration tasks over the last 2 months, actually quite some big tasks on our Vault Server.
Now I´m getting no more access to the application, it´s either showing a message that the server is busy and not responding or the application starts up and sits for a minute in the task bar and then opens up but still I can´t click any menus or create a report to control the tasks I've done earlier.
But I need to check the last couple of tasks to see which files have been successfully migrated and which are not. I know that I can view the logfiles manually but that still leaves me with no more tasks that I need to run to fix our database and Inventor files.
Let the application run with administrator rights doesn't work either. What else could be done to get the task scheduler back up running?
My task scheduler crashes as soon as I dbl click on it, does not even go to main window. Is there a way to only reinstall this part of INV Suite.

The class has a property called AllowDialogCancellation, but regardless of what I set that to the dialog still has a clickable X, and can also be closed with the escape key.

I was checking XP Task Manager just now and noticed that although PSP8 isn't running as far as I'm concerned (there are no PSP8 windows open), its executable still appears in the task list.

Had this installed and working fine for a month or so. Just learning how to use this when today when I went to start it up it would get to the welcome box and just stop. The box was completely blank and the only way to turn the program off was to use the Task Manager to close it down. After reading a few post on similar situations - the advise was to uninstall then reinstall the software. Used the windows uninstaller, afterwards rebooted then tried to re-install.
When I put in the the DVD I get to the screen where I accept the license agreement - scroll to the bottom and check the box to accept - hit next and nothing happens. I checked the services.msc and the Application Experience is started and on automatic.Tried this in the internal and external DVD drive with the same results.
I want to automate the check in of design files to Vault on each PC, prior to running workspace sync (Vault) which does have command line support.
I know you can schedule tasks within the Inventor Task scheduler, but has task scheduled the Inventor Task Scheduler? I suppose in theory you could schedule the launch of Inventor Task scheduler via the Windows one? or is there any need? If the Inventor Task scheduler isn't running, but a task has been scheduled, will it execute the program itself?
I am trying to use Task Scheduler to migrate all my .ipt files from 2010 to 2011. When I do it however it gives me the error , "cannot create Task" in a little pop up message box. It does this will types of task , i.e. I can not create any tasks ever.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI created a task to import (convert) a specified folder of MDT files using a specified ini file to ignore the layout drawings (tests resulted in near-useless idws with most missing drawing views - mainly due to our ignorance in creating MDT drawings). I specified a subfolder as the destination for the converted ipt files. After the task runs, the ipt files appear in the main folder (where I did not want them), while the destination folder has files with the names of <original part number>.dwg.ipt. The ipt and dwg.ipt files appear identical and have the same feature tree.
A typical entry in the Import.txt file is:

So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. It appears to be mainly working, but it will require cutting/pasting/deleting I wasn't expecting. The main goal here is to create ipt files that our CAM system can (we hope) work directly with, as they dumped the MDT translators a while back.
