View 2 RepliesIs it still not possible to export folders direct to ftps? I've heard this is possible in Photomechanic but I'd prefer not to have to buy another piece of software (and I like LR). Exporting to a folder on the hard drive and then exporting to the ftp seems like one step too many.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWill Corel6 (or later) ever be able to export to a web page directly since the HTLM export doesn't work (drops links). The Corel Web program, or what ever its name is, was a joke. Its amazing that Corel work puts its name on a program that you could not open a CorelDraw file.
My current work around is to export to a JPG and then import that into dreamweaver and add the links there, then post. A pain but it works.
Imported a parent folder with multiple children (20-40) folders. I've adjusted the photos and now want to publish easily to smugmug.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Xara for design work and am also a professional SW developer who has been developing in WPF for 5 years. It would be so good if Xara could export data directly to XAML, rather than having to go via an intermediate format. Searching in the forum reveals that this has come up several times and there have been a few hints that it might be about to be supported, but then nothing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't import directly from an XQD card into Lightroom on my laptop (Windows 7). The images appear in the import window, but I get the following message when trying to import: "The following files were not imported because they could not be read." I can move the files over to the hard disk where Lightroom can import them but only by using the "Add" function. This precludes my adding the date to the file name and converting the files to DNG. The funny thing is I can import them into my desktop, but it has less memory and an older processor which during the import often exceeds the memory capabilities and corrupts the image file.
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow to import photos directly unto my EHD via LR. I don't like my images touching my internal hard drive because it slows it down so much. This was never a problem when I used my PC. Two weeks ago I switched to a MAC and now when I plug in my EHD to attempt to import pictures onto it from my Nikon D7000, it states that it cannot read the files. WHen I import them to my internal HD they work fine, it's only when I try to import onto my EHD.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi have just one question. Why lightroom 4( full version) won't import my photos directly from my Canon 7D, after connecting it to my laptop with USB( Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit)? Lightroom won't find any files, even on full CF card.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've been able to copy images in an indirect way (LR to an earmarked folder on my PC's hard drive, then to the iPad using Apple's I-Tunes). But editing and arranging images is fairly awkward.
There are LR functions to upload to some web sites, e.g., Flicker, but none to devices like the iPad. (Exporting to smaller sites such as Nikonians would be nice but I suspect there's not enough demand for Adobe to bother with this embellishment.
Is it likely that export functions will be expanded to include the iPad and other devices?

View 2 Replies View RelatedIf I use LR to import the RAW files directly from a CF card, there are preview images (but I don't know how to import and save to a different HDD yet so I am still transferring files with Nikon Transfer NX)), but if I use Nikon Transfer to move the NEFs to the HDD, LR reports that it can't read the RAW files. I am using the same NEF format as what I use with ny Nikon D300 (14 bit, uncompressed) and LR will read those files.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI uploaded the lightroom 30 day free trial that i received when i purchased adobe photoshop elements 10. I am now unable to upload pictures directly to my computer because every time i put a memory card in, lightroom pops up and they upload there. Because of this i can not upload the photos to any other program, including the program that i spent $80 to use. I have tried deleting the shortcut, but this doesn't uninstall the lightroom program. I am not sure how to uninstall it because i want it off of my computer.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to rename a number of files to specific names which are not based on the current names. Simple to do outside of LR5 but I do not want to lose the related edit data which I believe to be the case if I do it outside of LR.
Assuming the name is stored in the metadata is there anyway to access that directly to perform the rename?
Is it possible to open a photo with another application, without a pre-conversion to tiff by Lightroom? I love Active D-Lighting, it saves me a lot of shadow/highlight recovery, but Lightroom doesn't support it. I edit most of my photos with Capture NX, but I use Lightroom to catalog them and edit others. I can't find a way of opening a nef file directly in CaptureNX from Lightroom.

View 1 Replies View RelatedNormally I import as RAW, and then convert to DNG; today is first time that I've Imported/Copied directly to DNG.
Using LR5, I "Copy to DNG" a bunch of images from my CF Card, that I shot over the weekend. In Grid view, under the Histogram, I noticed the icon "Originals without Smart Previews" had a 1, "Originals + Smart Previews" had a 0, "Smart Previews" has a 0, and "Missing" also has a 1 next to it. Admittedly, I forgot to check the "Build Smart Preview" check box, so I Library -> Previews -> Build Smart Previews. After the process finished, I now have "Originals without Smart Previews" - 0, "Originals + Smart Previews" - 1, "Smart Previews" has a 0, and "Missing" - 1. When I go into Develop module, under the Histogram I also see "[!] Photo is Missing". When I Right-Click and select "Show in Finder" it takes me straight to the original, in the correct folder location that I Copied/Imported into. I've also done "Find All Missing Photos" and re-synchronized the folder. Nothing has changed.
In LR3, when exporting a raw file as a jpeg the only choices given at the top of the dialog box are Hard Drive and CD. Is there a way to export directly to a thumb drive or external HD without exporting to the HD then copying the file (s) over?
View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing LR v5.3 and Windows 8.1
For my particular workflow, I find that loading thumbnails as step 1 of the import process to not be of much value for me.
I would prefer to load all images from the camera CF card directly into my "Import" folder in Lightroom without having to first view and select images for import.
Step 2 for me would then distribute the images into other named folders in LR prior to the development, skipping the thumbnail phase of the process.
So, the Q: Is there any setting that allows importation into a selected folder in LR without first going through the thumbnail process?
If I create a file in Photoshop without coming from Lightroom or duplicate a file in Photoshop that I opened from Lightroom, is there a way to save the new file from Photoshop to the desired directory on my local hard drive and simultaneously have it added to my Lightroom catalog? Or do I need to save the file then import the file into the catalog? I'm working with CS6.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWin 8.1 64 bit A Toshiba Satellite laptop, LR 5.3. When I try to export I get a window without export buttons at the bottom to do the export. Further if I try to resize the export window the export window disappears and LR freezes requiring to ctrl/alt/del to close it. I cannot export anything to HD or email, etc.
I was in a class last night where everyone had Macs and the buttons appeared on their versions and worked fine. Totally repeatable. I can supply screen shots.
Makes LR totally useless.
I've created various snapshots of a series of photos and I'm ready to export. Is there a way to export all the snapshots at once, in a single export step? Up to now, I've been doing this step by step, exporting one version of the image, than going to the next snapshot and exporting again.
