View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm coming into my second week of desperate attempts to make my After Effects CS6 (Volume License) work in the cursed Mac OS 10.9. I'm back to using CS5.5 which works, but my clients are getting irritated by having to down-save all documents to CS5.5 for me.
– I've installed CS6 OK.
– I'm trying to patch it to 11.0.4, message keeps saying "Adobe Application Manager is damaged or missing, please reinstall"
– I've tried loads of ways to remedy this; CC cleaner, surgical removal and reinstallation of all Adobe files in various order, silent installs, all kinds of permissions repairs and adjustments, reinstalling AAM, installing AAM for volume licensing, studying the PDApp.log, install and crash logs,
I've considered wiping my entire system and trying to downgrade to Mac OS 10.8 in order to get my CS6 back up and running
After updating to OSX Mavericks, Lightroom 5 will no longer start on my MacBook Pro. Checking the system log, I see only this:
10/30/13 8:56:00.390 AM spindump[21481]: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 [21388] didn't gather any samples due to audio running
10/30/13 8:56:00.406 AM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[170]: (com.adobe.Lightroom5.30128[21388]) Exited: Terminated: 15
why Lightroom 5 will no longer start?
Almost every time I switch in and out of Lightroom 5.2 running on OS X mavericks cursor and keyboard control freezes up for around 10-30 seconds. Other applications including LR still continue to work during this freeze up but the mouse cursor will not move and I just have to sit and wait for a little while and everything will resume normally after this delay.
View 9 Replies View RelatedEvery since upgrading to Mavericks my Lightroom metadata browser has had missing numbers. It used to show the total count of photos that matched the criteria and it no longer does that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have scanned something in OS X Mavericks (10.9.0) using my Canon PIXMA MP280 and am attempting to add it to my main Lightroom catalog (LR 5.2) but am having issues. I have tried the following formats with the noted results:
.TIFF - Lightroom throws error "The file appears to be unsupported or damaged. (1)" .JPG - Lightroom does not show the file in the import dialog, thus does not even attempt to import it. .PNG - Imports ok.
The .TIFF and .JPG formats seem compeltely intact as they open without any issues in OS X Preview and Pixelmator.
When using the library filter on metadata no numbers are shown anymore, even not after clicking restore default presets?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to connect my Nikon D610 with a USB cable to import RAW files (i.e. .NEF), I need to open manually LR and click on the Import button to start importing even if Automatic Import is activated.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since I updated my Mac to Mavericks, Photoshop CS6 started freezing at random intervals, and it's making it really hard to work like this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an English version of Photoshop CS3. Since I upgraded to Mavericks it will not work. It opens, a blank window for the Adobe updater opens and that's it. I can only close them by force closing. Everything is inactive. I can't even access the deactivate or activate menu. I have updated the Jave, repaired, uninstalled, reinstalled, all to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt's about two days I am experiencing lag problems with Zoom Tool on Photoshop CC. The strange thing is that the problem appears only two days ago, when instead I've installed OSX Mavericks on my machine about two weeks (the day of the Public Release)
You can notice that from the moment I finished drawing the "zoom square" and the real zoom lapse about 1,5s (same thing for the Scrubby Zoom).
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop, disable plugins and reset tool preferences but unfortunately with no success.
Here are my specs:
Macbook Air Mid 2012 with i5, 8GB Ram, 128GB SSD
Photoshop CC 14.0
I don't own Creative Cloud but use OS X 10.6.8 on the i Mac (2011 model) working with previous versions of Adobe CS products ( Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) for my creative work.
Will these software applications work with the latest OS X Mavericks without any hiccups, even if my system doesn't have any Retina display resolution? I've been considering upgrading to Mavericks but wanted to make sure.
I am having problems with PS CC crashing on Mavericks. I unistalled and re-installed it but it keeps crashing after opening. Here is the craash report:

I use a MacBook Pro running OSX v10.9 with a 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 and 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3. I use Adobe Photoshop CS5 and Adobe Illustrator CS6.
After installing Mavericks last night, I spent a couple hours figuring out that I had to install a Java update and delete my Astute plug-ins for illustrator. Photoshop worked fine (no plug-ins are used). After deleting the old plug-ins, installing the available updates from a Astute's website and restarting the computer, Illustrator was back up and running.
I quit both programs for an hour or so, came back and tried reopening each. Photoshop will no longer open. An error message says "could not initialize program" and shuts it down. Illustrator appears to start but will not open existing or new files.
When restarted in safe mode, each program works properly. What can I do to make them work in normal mode? Is there a way to find out what non-default extensions or plug-ins are preventing my programs from working properly?
After updating to Mavricks I revieve an error opon using Photoshop CC. It will allow me to open photoshop and just keep it open, however when I create a new file and start to work it will crash.

My old computer finally died, and so I just bought a new iMac with OSX Mavericks... I am wondering if my old Illustrator CS can be installed into my new iMac and if it would be compatible with OSX Mavericks? (I successfuly reinstalled my Photoshop CS4 and it is compatible with OSX Mavericks, but I am skeptical that such an old version of Illustrator will also install successfully)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried to uninstall and reinstall AE cs6 twice now with the update 11.0.3 and it still won't open on my computer.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi updated my work computer to the new Maverick OS update. Everytime i open an After Effects project up over the server it crashes. I never had this problem before and until after i installed Mavericks.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to install After Effects 12.2 for the first time on my MBP. I am running Mavericks. AE installs from the CC app just fine. But when I open AE I get the message:
"The application “Adobe After Effects CC” can’t be opened. -10810"
I've uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled many times. With the same result. I'm pretty sure my system is capable, albeit on the low end of performance. I'm only planning to use AE for some timelapse tutorials.
My system is:
MacBook Pro 13-inch, Mid 2009
Processor 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42)
Hard Drive 30 GB free
I have upgraded my OX to MAvericks and now I can't use my droplets.
They are all saved and I have hundreds of images in seperate folders that my droplet would open, turn to CMYK and save in the same file but as a TIFF. Job was great and saved me tons of time.
But I can't do that now - or can I? How to get this working again or if there's a new way of doing it?
Using Wacom Bamboo CTL-460 on my i Mac and have noticed strange Photoshop CC (and CS6) behavior since the first beta of OSX 10.9 Mavericks. After a couple of actions with brushes, colors, moving layers and zooming in/out, my PS gets stuck. It shows brush tool, which can move, but I can do nothing till I switch to another app and then get back to PS. Shortcuts don't wort either.
There are some messages on Adobe forums about PS shortcuts not working properly on 10.9. I thought it might be a bug in OS with it's all-new memory processing, correlating with PS engine somehow, until I plugged my mouse in... everything worked just fine with it! Double-checked this on i Mac and Mac Book Pro: all the same on both machines.
So Wacom driver is definitely causing the issue. The latest driver update does not solve it.
I got error when save for web all time. Error message is: Adobe Save for Web error "Could not complete this operation. An unknown error has occured."in my MAC OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) and also got error when save is..
Is this reported error? How can I solve?Below is my system info.

I have two Macs, a late 2012 MacBook Pro and a 2009 iMac, both installed with Creative Cloud and running Mavericks. The MBP is doing great. No issues whatsoever, and it is my main machine these days.
However, Photoshop CC is crashing on launch on the iMac every time. I can't use it at all there. Here is the top of the crash log, leaving off everything from "Binary Images:" on...

No plugin installed. Tried deleting the preferences several times. Installed latest wacom driver. Reinstalled two times Illustrator. Signed in and out of Creative Cloud. Verdana and Tahoma are installed.
Tried this solution without sucess.
Here is the log I have when I try launching Illustrator.
pixel rendering does not seem to work correctly in Illustrator CC on OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
Objects are placed correctly, and stick to pixel grid, but Illustrator renders them as being off-grid.
I have installed Illustrator CS6 as a temporary solution, and the same file works correctly.
I'm using Adobe Illustrator 15.0.2 (CS5) on my iMac which is running Mavericks (OS 10.9.1). In the past, I've simply trashed my plist files in my user's Library's Preferences folder. I did this and it doesn't seem to work. I'm not computer savey enought to do any programming work without very clear instructions. I see that people have talked about the difficulty with doing such things in Mavericks.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPSE 11 has become very slow, sometimes unresponsive, after installing the new OS X Mavericks.
View 14 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to launch Illustrator I get the message "To open 'Adobe Illustrator CS6,' you need a Java SE 6 runtime. Would you like to install one now?" When I click "install" it goes through a downloading process but then I don't get any download (that I can find) and nothing has changed and I still can't launch Illustrator. I've repeated this process three times.
InDesign and Photoshop seem to be running fine. It's only Illustrator which is giving me this problem.
