View 1 RepliesAnytime I try to print from Lightroom 4.3 the program crashes. Why ?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to enter the print module Windows tells me Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to close. The print module worked fine some weeks ago, but now it doesn't. Everything else seems to work fine.
First thing I tried was to relaunch and optimize my catalog which didn't work.
I then tried to reinstall LR 2.4 with no luck. I then Downloaded and installed 2.6, still no luck.
I had cleaned the registry after the print module worked last time, so I reloaded the registry with those values, still no luck.
I then deleted Lightroom 2 Preferences.agprefs and let LR relaunch to create a new one. Now the print module works.
As I am not using the default catalog I went into preferences and pointed LR to my catalogue and then relaunched again thinking the problem was solved. But when I tried to go into the Print module LR crashed again.
I figured that since the Print module worked with the empty default catalog the error must lie somewhere in my catalog. I therefore went back and tried using one of my backup catalogs, but LR crashed again when I tried to access the Print module. I even went back and tried all my backup catalogs and a couple of the oldest ones does not cause LR to crash when going into the Print module.
I'm on Vista with 4 gb of RAM, using dual monitors, and I've tried reducing the resolution and using only one screen as well.
So, my question is what could possibly go wrong inside a catalog file that would cause LR to crash in one module only? And why is it that the backups saved even the month before I last used the print module also causes the problem? Seeing as how I've been using that very same catalog and having a working print module?
When going from any module into the Print Module, Lightroom crashes. Another thread suggested using a new catalog without any templates. I did and the application did not crash. Unfortunately, Lightroom is now booting into the print module with the catalog that is causing it to crash. From previous threads it sounds as if the issue was print templates. How do I delete the error causing templates?

Sometimes Photoshop comes up and I can use it, but then I get a Windows XP error"bark," with no error message or error dialog. Once that happens I can no longer open or edit or save images. Other times it will not completely start up.
Â
The "universal" Microsoft Windows "fix," a re-boot of the computer makes the problem go away, until it happens again. I have made sure that there are no errors in the registry with Norton Utilities. Windows XP is up to date.
Â
Is there an error log someplace that Photoshop issues? All other apps on the computer seem to work fine.
I started a new computer with LR5, and it runs fine. But, when I imported my pics from a previous computer running LR4, all the pics loaded into the new LR without any tags or processing. How can I get that info without having ot reprocess thousands of pictures?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having this major issue where on one drawing, 100% of the solids plot as expected. Â On another computer, with the exact same (as far as I can tell) settings in AutoCAD - both are 2012, both are pulling same plot style from network, both are pulling from same plot configuration from network - yet in the other one, half the solids don't print correctly.
the problem started on 2010, but then I tried a fresh install of 2012 and the problem persisted. Â I have 2012 on my PC so I assumed the problem on the user's PC may just be easily fixed with a new CAD installation.
Also, when I click in the viewport and click "Hide", it looks fine. Â And, so you know, I am attempting DWG to PDF. Â On my PC it works, not on their PC. Â This is also true in Plot Preview.
I switched from Photoshop Elements 7 to Photoshop Elements 10. I cannot get a print of a photo that matches the screen. Photos are dark and red. I cannot edit the photos because I do not know what will print out.  I have switched back to Photoshop 7 and my photos print fine, just as they have been edited.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis has happened since I installed the program last year. Photoshop crashes no matter what kind of image file I try to print. I use a MacBook Pro and an Epson Stylus Photo R200 printer. I have checked for driver updates and there are none. The printer works fine with other programs. I tried following the directions to run Photoshop in 32 bit mode but the option does not come up in my menu.

We just upgraded our user to CS 5.5 from CS 4. He still has CS4 installed. When we go to print the item he's working on via "Print" the program crashes. When we click "Print options" that crashes. Alternatively when we print via "Print one page" that works. I have removed and added the printer since we did the install and his version of software is fully up to date. Here's the error log.

Everytime I try to Print from Photoshop CS4 it will crash CS4. I have tried to set the default printer as the Microsoft Image Writer with no success. It does not matter if the image is a JPG or TIFF image. I have XP SP3 installed and it is fully patched.

When I try to print, every single time, I get the following error immediately:

Â
and then shortly after
Â
> Adobe Photoshop CS5 has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Â
Quite infuriating. My printer works fine. I can print photos to it from Lightroom no problem (which, in this occasion, I had to do - saved from PS, imported to LR, then printed... very efficient!!).
Â
I note there are other posts on this but they seem to be mostly Mac and also many seem to cure by upgrading to 12.0.4.
Â
I am a relatively light user (keen amateur not professional) so I don't use PS regularly. However this also means it is pretty much an out-of-the-box install since I don't tinker with it either. It's so long since I last used it I can't remember if I had this problem last time - I vaguely recall having had it sometimes but not others. Doesn't seem to matter whether the file I opened is a JPG or a PSD (the only two I have tried).
Everytime I try to print from Photoshop CS6 using Windows 8 Photoshop crashes. I click the print option from the File Menu and bam it crashes and shutdown. No error message no nothing. I have installed the latest updates and still no go.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell 515 plotter printer connected to a network computer. I can print to it from other programs, but as of this evening, when I select the printer, the screen goes white and autocad dies. I can print to a pdf or even select another printer that is not even turned on. This also happens when the 515 is set as the default and I select print to default system printer.
this has happened before and It seemed like a lucky fluke that i got it to stop. something about the order of change scale, preview, change plotter etc, but no luck this time.
Before upgrading to 2012 from 2010 (against our will), our publishing tool worked seamlessly with our XEROX 6604. Now, strangely only one user out of seven has the ability to publish a set of drawings without crashing AutoCAD. We are happy that it works on his machine, but it seems very odd that the rest of us are affected when our PCs are the same spec and setup.Â
All of the proper drivers and firmware are up to date.
Client machines are windows7 64bit sp1.Having issues with one plotter at this point-- HP DesignJet T1200 HD MFP.
.This plotter worked fine with AutoCAD 2013 Autodesk software uses windows printer objects for printing not pc3s.
Plotter driver is the newest hpgl2 off hp's website for that plotter.
So far crashes when attempting to plot from autocad and revit. Gets the attached message.
AutoCAD 2013 crashes during the plot configuration for our printer. When I select Custom Properties for our Kip 5000 Series Printer I get an Unhandled Exception popup. When I click continue I get a message that "AutoCAD Applicaiton has encountered a problem and needs to close", the program crashes. AutoCAD 2013 will not let us select the kip 5000.pc3 file we used for Autocad 2012.
How can I set my printer up if it keeps crashing the program. Is there a new driver for 2013, if so where do I find it. Is it from AutoCad or the printer company Kip America (who have yet to reply to my email).
I have attached the error message
