View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to place pictures into my paragraph text so that the text wraps around the picture (like you can in Word).? Can anyone let me know how to do this in Photoshop 7.0 for Windows??
All I can find is how to wrap text around object (i.e. word on a coffee cup image itself) or putting the actual picture as fill for the font.?
how to do this? I have included a PDF of a sample of what I'm trying to do.
I have just edited some photos for a friend who was short on time, and now she would like a list of the steps I took in editing. Is there any way of listing those steps in a text file I could send her?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two pictures that i want to stitch together, but the results are shocking.
Basically i want to keep the picture of the hands, but instead of holding up the world, i want it to hold up my school logo.
As it is going to be a logo, the size is not really a huge issue, as long as it is big enough to show what is happening.
You will find two simmilar pictures with only one noticable difference. To the middle left in one picture are a group of mountains, in the other one there are no mountains. What I ask everyone to do is to save these two pictures and answer me this question: Were the mountain edited out of picture 1, or edited into picture 2?
The more specific you get with your answers the better. In a day or two I will post my own answer to compare to everyone elses. As of right now I will not tell you which one is or isn't edited, I want everyone to figure it out on their own. Remember, right now, there is no wrong answer. But if you do answer, give whatever proof you can.
I'd like to create a totally custom page, inserting photos at various locations and sizes as well as text regions. Can this be done? I haven't been able to find a way to do this.

I would like to know what is the fastest way to change about 100 pictures.
I am trying to edit my pictures and I'm doing it one by one adding the hue/saturation that I want so that they all match. I was just wondering if there was a way to do all of them at the same time?
I recently found the BATCH feature but I don't know if there's a way to create a batch that edits the pictures only in the way I want them edited.
Problem opening multiple pictures in Photoshop. I tried to Edit.
Purge>All, Reset Preferences, Delete the Adobe Photoshop x Prefs.psp folders and Ctrl+Alt+Shift on Photoshop startup. Did not work, what next? Delete all the PSP folders.? There are 45 more in my computer.
I've been using Photoshop CS6 for a while, and suddenly, some random "squares" shows up! A kind of a filter? And it prevents me for editing my pictures..! How this suddenly came up?
I'm using a MacBook Pro 15,4" Retina.
I just upgraded to Photoshop 10 from 3. Now, when I am editing a few days worth of pictures one after the other, I go to open the next file (picture) the computer takes me back to the top (first one listed) each time. Many times I am editing over 100 pictures in the file, and now have to scroll down each time and that takes forever. I have to remember what number picture I was on. In my earlier version, the compiter "held" the spot where I was so it was easy to select trhe next picture to edit.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I am editing a lot of pictures, after saving the edited picture and when I go to open the next picture, the folder always goes back to the beginning. This then requires to scroll down to the nest picture to be edited which takes a LOT of time, especially if there are 200-300 pictures ihn the folder. In the "old" elements this was not a problem. Is there a setting someplace. I am using Elements 10.

When attempting to add simple text on an individual layer, the layer is turning black. This prevents me from seeing the text I'm editing. When I move to another layer the text displays correctly. When I go to edit the text by clicking the image the layer goes black again. It is like editing text in the dark, turning the light on to see the changes, turning the light off to make the changes, repeat.
I am clicking on a layer in GIMP, and when I click on the text tool, this dialog pops up "CONFIRM TEXT EDITING" "the layer you selected is a text layer but it has been modified using other tools. Editing the layer with the text tool will discard these modifications. You can edit the layer or create a new text layer from its text attributes."
with 3 options, Create New layer, Cancel, and Edit however, no matter what I click, it doesn't let me create new text anywhere.ALSO, it seems to jump from the layer i selected to another layer whenever I click "EDIT."
What is weird is that I was able to create new text prior to this, but not anymore. it's gimp 2.8.0
I'm trying to put text on top of a picture but when I move the text on top of the picture it looks like its underneath the picture instead of on top making the text color look like grey compared to the black that I want.

I have tried changing the text colors and sizes, but no matter how much I try to use text in my pictures, it just won't work.
I want to finish my comic and some logos an other work, but I can't work without using typing text images.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit,
I do a little wedding photography and like to give the married couple a disc with all the un-edited pictures of the day for them to choose in the comfort of their own homes. The problem is i want to put text layer written 'SAMPLE' across each picture and then flatten each one before saving it to stop any editing on their behalf. Do i really have to go through this for each one (usually over 100 pics) or is there a quicker route or even alternative to this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOftentimes I face the need to restore a picture of a text document -mainly forms to fill- to something approaching the original document. This requires to remove all the grey parts and to have a result in black on white i.e. no other colors. It may also require some understanding of how characters are formed -regardless the language- to prevent white dots in the middle of a character
With the document restored, one can then fill the form with an editor so as to have it clearly (printed characters) and easily (because filled with a editor) filled
My question is how do you do that with Gimp.
Just started using Gimp 2.6.11. I like it for cutting and pasting into new files but I'm having trouble learning the method of adding captions at the bottom of pictures where I'd like to place text of the names of the people above. I get text in black but the background stays the same as previous in the picture so most of the time it can't be seen. I really need to get this going in the next week or so as I'm preparing for an event where the pictures will be on display.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe image is basically a scanned copy of a letter. The image is in JPEG format and the size is around 200kb. Now I want to edit the image(the scanned letter). I only want to edit the content of the letter yani the text of the letter.
Specifically speaking I want to add some text in the image. The text has to be in the same font, size etc etc so that it does not looks like it has been editied.
i'm trying to follow this tutorial on how to make ice Text. Right in the beginning of the turtorial it asks me to create a new document so big...blah blah. It tells me to use the type tool to add some text. And then press ok and cut the text, then paste the text to automatically center it. Thats just it...it wont let me cut the text.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am planning to do a report on a subject of 2 countries Thailand and China. I have found a nice image with nice font on the internet and I wish to do it in the same manner but do not know how(especially concerned about curved text and flag pattern). Here is a picture I want to recreate but with another background and different text.
The font has already been identified as Falkner Pro (RMU) on myfont.
I am trying to create a document in Word that has "boxes" of text, peripheral to the main content, scattered through the text body. First, I want these areas of text to be circles and I want the text to wrap around them like it does the ovals you can create with the Word drawing tools.
The next thing I want is for the text inside these areas to conform to the internal shape of the circle.
My 1st problem is that any circle I create in photoshop, when inserted into the word document, has a square bounding box that the text wraps to. I can't seem to figure out how to save the photoshop picture so that it only contains the circular graphic, although I don't know if it is photoshop applying the square background or Word when I import the picture.
My 2nd problem is trying to fit the text within the graphic so that it fills it, wrapping to the inside border without manually adjusting every line and word. If there is some automated step I can use to achieve this I would love to know what it is.
lets say i have a picture. I want to add text to it so it fits right into the background rather than having an artificial white border around the text. How do i do that?
Also, how do i remove text without deleting parts of the background as well, and how do i enter text so that it matches the text that is used in the picture?
Lets say i have a picture with the word "TEST" in it, with a certain font, size, color, etc. I want to add additional text with the exact same font, size, etc.
what I basically want is for the coffee beans to be the white part, and the font to be the coffee beans part. how to do that?
View 8 Replies View RelatedYesterday I installed Photoshop Elements 11 and everything worked great except I was unable to add text to pictures. This morning however the quick, guided, and expert toolbar is gone and I am only able to edit pictures in the quick mode. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled and that did not work.
