how to add a custom icon in the import section of Lightroom 5.
when i right click on my camera it says "add custom icon" but then sends me to google and a camera icon,but how do i load it into Lightroom?
I installed Xrite ColorChecker Passport software and loaded a couple of custom profiles in the develop module under camera calibration. There was a glitch in the software and it did not allow me to name those profiles. Once I uninstalled that version and loaded the newer version the naming process works fine. I would like to be able to delete the unname profile out of Lightroom but I am not seeing how that can be done.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI've recently switched to Lightroom and was wondering whether it is possible to change the date format for the folders used for inport. Ideally I would like to use a structure such as this:
2012
|_ 01 - Jan
|_ 02 - Feb
As far as I can see that's not possible with the buit-in import presets organized by date. Is there any way to cusomize these formats to add 2012/01 - Jan etc?
how to change one of the entries in TranslatedStrings.txt in order to provide a different/custom destination folder naming scheme for importing.
This definitely worked in some previous versions (a while since I tried it) but in 4.1 it doesn't seem to work -- there is no such file in /Applications/Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.app/Contents or in the en.lproj subfolder (which seems to be where the non English TranslatedStrings.txt files live).
I won't go into why I need to do this, suffice to say if I can't do it, I'm going to face a tedious process of importing a load of stuff year by year and choosing the destination base folder manually for each year. Which is do-able, it's just a big pain.
Is there a way I can save a custom crop preset to apply to images on import on Lr3.5?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have created default settings by serial number for my Canon Mark III 1ds which include enabled lens profile corrections. I then created a user preset with these default corrections. Next I imported a folder of RAW images shot with this same Canon camera with the user profile checked as part of the import. When I switch to the Develop module and check the Lens Corrections panel, I see that although it is checked for each file, the actual make, model and profile are not populated.
Is this a bug or am I overlooking something on import? I understand that in LR 4, you can apply specific lens and camera calibration profiles to camera serial numbers (noise reduction etc too).

is there a menu which has the icons for endpoint and midpoint. If not is there a way to create and icon that corresponds to these commands? I use these commands continuously and get tired of typing them in.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been battling with moving tool bars between my CorelX4 PC's. I think I've finally figured out how to do it so far. Export/Import RecordedMacro.bas 'First' and make sure it's the same name on both PC's as importing a new one renumbers the *.bas file. I think this made a difference anyway.
Export/Import Workspace Toolbar next. I found if I imported the workspace first, I couldn't get the new toolbar to work.
Now, if I want to edit the colors of the toolbar as shown below, the current color doesn't show in the editing window, nor do I have any color options.
launch macros much faster than going through the tools menu.

Is there a way to load our old section makers when cutting sections through assemblies? I am not so fond of the ones that come per-loaded with Inventor. This is in Inventor 2012.

Is there a way to create a custom section mark routine (in AutoCAD it was a LISP routine) to make section marks as shown in the attached picture?
In the AutoCAD version, it took 3 clicks, and then prompted for text inputs - 1st was the end of the line with the circle, 2nd was the other end of the line, and 3rd was the direction of the section. Then there are 2 text prompts - first the section label, then the sheet humber.
Is this possible to do in Inventor? I figured out how to make the circles with prompted text but can't figure out how to make the lines and arrows to go with it without being fixed length and position.
I would like to know that while system families are not editable, would the shared parameters file for these families be accessible? I am looking to add a custom label for sections.

I am busy constructing my own Structural Shapes Library in Inventor 1012.During the Authoring and Publishing step I mapped Cross Section Properties (Ixx, Iyy, Torsional Section Modulus, Torsional Rigidity Modulus etc) to set parameters in my iPart table.
I have noticed that once this part is then used in Frame Generator to create a simple beam and then analyzed with the Frame Analysis tool, the analysis tool uses the geometry of the part to calculate these properties.
Is there a way that I can force Inventor to use the properties in the iPart Tables? I am worried that any errors in creating the cross section geometry will be carried into the Cross Section Properties calculated by Inventor.
I have downloaded few instant project templates Yet when I go to the Instant project window I do not see the import Icon . I only see the orange Icon(get more content). Is there something wrong with the installation of my VSPro x3.

- I create BIG amounts of assets (for UI design) in Adobe Illustrator which I save as Symbols.
- I store these symbols in a custom symbol library so I can re-use them in a different file
- Reason A: to be able to re-use these symbols within the Illustrator file to visualize different "interaction flows" to my clients
- Reason B: I use vector assets because they allow me to accommodate for different screen resolutions in the future

A: I would like to be able to open the same symbol library I created in Illustrator in Photoshop and drag the symbols onto my Photoshop canvas.
B: If I change a symbol in Illustrator it should be updated in my Photoshop file.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently made a custom Tool Palette that contains all of our most commonly used Assemblies in our office on my PC. I then exported the Paleette to a location on our network and tried to import it onto another workstation. The Palette imported correctly and all of the assemblies are visible. However, when an assembly is attempted to be inserted into a drawing nothing is inserted.
Upon insertion the properties menu box shows up indicating that it is closed or locked..."do you wish to continue".
Is there a step that I am missing on importing or exporting of assemblies or Palettes?
I need importing and exporting custom layer property filters. Long story short, we XREF a lot of mechanical equipment in our models and when we create a structural drawing make all of the mechanical item print in a light ghosted color. I created a layer property filter with a huge list of all the possible equipment prefix's like *cl-* *tk-* *rv-* and so on to filter out all the equipment layers. It took a long time to create, so I want to export it and import it into future drawing.

After installing, the Lightroom 5.3 icon appears on the top right of my Mac desktop, however, when i open Lightroom from Finder>Applications it still shows LR5.2C. So I clicked on the LR5.3 icon on the top right of my screen and it gives me the original box that I already clicked to install LR5.3.
