View 1 Replies View RelatedMy assistant and I are working on 2 different computers tied to a server. We need to be able to pass sequences back and forth. Unfortunately, Premiere seems to be adding the associated media files with each sequence import. Our project has fast become a mess of duplicate media. Also, I noticed this "new feature" listed on the Adobe site: An option has been added to not consolidate duplicates on import. Will this fix this problem?

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe project weight is almost 2 GB.Is taking hours open my project file. I have to send a edit by tomorrow but right now I don't know if I will be able to open my project to start editing.
I have read in your forums this is a common bug but nobody say how can be solved, I already lost all day waiting and I can't be waiting all night to start the editing at early morning, this is totally insane. I'm editing in a Macbook Pro Retina with 16 GB of RAM.
I edited a lot in this computer with this software version ( CS6 ) and never got this problem.
In this project are sequences with Magic Bullet effects and Warp Stabilizer but this can't be an excuse, must be a solution for this because I already lost 8 hours looking to my screen.
MPEG video captured from a tape based camcorder in premiere cs5 will not import into lightroom 4.3. Why, when it is created in an adobe product?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI've been transferring a lot of old vidoes from analog tape to digital video. All video files have been created as H.264 640x480 mp4 with Elgato Video Capture. And all video-files display fine in, VLC, Media Player Classic, Quicktime and even iMovie. Some of these import fine into Premiere CS5.5 without problem, but some end up looking green, distorted and doubled, like this:
I've tried to Interpret Footage on the broken clips, setting the framerate to a constant like 25fps. But this seems to have no effect. When I try to import the same file into After Effects CS5.5, I get this error: after effects error: overflow converting ratio denominators 17::18..I've crosschecked two video files against each other to find some differences, but there is none, as far as I can see.
Ive been attempting to import AVCHD video footage captured on a Panasonic into Premier Pro CS6 on my MacPro. I've tried this from the camera and after copying the entire folder to my desktop. The footage is there, but has no audio!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Flash project I'm working on that is video with corresponding bulletpoints displayed next to it. While I've gotten it to work with embed cue points in the FLV file so that at certain times in the video the Flash movie goes to certain frames to display the relevant bullet points I haven't gotten it so that it can tell what the appropriate bullet point is if someone scrubs the video past the last cue point trigger. I found a process to do it using actionscript cue points instead of navigation cue points (via this guide: [URL], but it uses an external xml file for the cue points. My problem is that I can't figure out how to get that XML file without having to redo all the cue points manually. Is there someway to make Premiere Pro (CS3) export an xml file of the markers placed in my timeline instead of embedding them into the FLV file? Alternatively if there is a way I could extract them from the FLV file, that would be acceptible too.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI got this message when trying to load a WIP file: "The project could not be loaded, it may be damaged or contain outdated elements."
I've searched the forums as well as on other sources on how to deal with it. So far I've tried:
1. Check files on AutoSave folder. No luck. All 5 files gave the same message
2. Fix XML with XML wrench. Tried the "Check is Well Formed" & "Check is Valid" and both said ok"
3. Restarted PC. Same thing.
4. Move project and working files to other folders - same.
5. Created a blank project and tried to import sequence - no sequence show up.
6. Import from After Effects and Exported - no luck as well. Came up with a message saying there's no valid sequence.

Adobe Premiere CC crashes when opening a project file error 3697 have to close application with Task Manager media files open separately OK
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my primary Workstation I´ve created a project of medium complexity (150GB, approx. 200 files, 5 sequences). Here everything is working just fine.
On my laptop I also installed Adobe CC. I copied the whole projects' folder from workstation 1 onto my external HDD and connected it to my laptop.Opening and cutting works fine here too.
Now, when I save and take the project (project file only) back to workstation 1, here Premiere Pro CC fails to load it up.The loading bar proceeds to about 75% and then freezes. If I give it some time (10-15 minutes) it finally finishes loading, but Premiere isn't showing any reaction to mouse or keyboard, there are no panels at all visible. Basically it is crashed, allthough that´s not being indicated by the task manager.
I´ve tried all the tips from in here as well as the "usual stuff": Saving a new project file, nothing.Deleting preview files, then saving a new file, nothing.Importing the project into AE and exporting a new project (on my laptop), nope.Deleting all dynamic linked comps from the old project, saving then taking it to laptop 1, opening and saving it again, taking it back to the workstation, no.Completely deleting everything Adobe on my workstation 1 and re-installing CC, "great" experience, but to no avail.I also followed the solution of the similar problem on another thread here in the forums, with unzipping the xml and deleting certain lines of code and so forth, still nothing. Then I went ahead and installed CC on my second laptop (not at all to be considered a workstation). Here the projects saved on laptop 1 opened just fine (asking for media files of course...).
EDIT:I forgot to mention that a new and blank project from the laptops opens just fine on the workstation...
So I have to consider that something's wrong with my primary workstation. Right?
It´s a fresh installation of Windows 8.1 with 24GB of Ram, GeForce GTX 570, i7 950, WD drives only, Windows on a seperate hybrid disk...All CC installations are up to date.
I tried getting this to work in PPro 7.0 but it wouldn't accept an HD video file. I've downloaded a trial of PPro CS5.5 ( I purchased it as well but will have to wait for the disc to arrive) and now the file is imported but it shows up as an audio with no video. The video does play just fine in Windows Media Player. The following is the GSpot report on the file:
I can't import this file?
I run a film lab and I digitally scan 8mm film a frame at a time to TIFF/ BMP/ JPEG... etc. I've switched to PC and CC in the last month and I'm wontering how to make video files out of these still image sequences in any application in CC. I'm guessing my best bet is Premiere Pro or media ecoder?
On my mac I used to use Quick Time which was very simple and easy to do but before spending money to get the full version of QT on my PC I wondered if there was anyway I can do it in CC?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to import an .aep file into Premiere Pro CC from After Effects CC. I import the file. The dynamic import window appears. It states connected to file along with the import files ... dialogue box. It stalls there.
I have been working off my network and have all the files collected on my machine.
My workaround to get me to deadline was to render my clips from AE and import them. Importing the .aep would make more sense from efficiency and workflow.
As I am creating drawings for parts/assemblies, I have to fill out the customers name and the job number which I currently do on every drawing I create by right clicking on the Drawing name in the tree, going to iProperties, and then filling out the fields I need.
I have to do this for every sheet. Sometimes over 100 sheets per job.
Is there a way, within the project file maybe, to have these fields be already filled in with the customers name and job number?
Every new project file I make is a new customer. So I'm wondering if there is someway to tweak the project file.
I have a several dozen shots, Quicktime ProRes 422 HQ. When I try to import them into Premiere CS6 all the arrives in the bin is the audio of the clips. The video has been stripped. But if I play the clips outside Premiere - just double click them open and play them with Windows Media Player, they play fine.
I'm not having trouble with any other formats.
Just the ProRes. And I must have the necessary Quicktime ProRes plug-in installed, as the individual clips open and play fine.
I want to take a sequence that I had in an old project and put it into a current project, but I dont want it to be one rendered file... i still want too see the fades and make changes to it...

I know in the past Premiere Pro wouldn't import a layered AI file, but is that still the case? I can get a layered PSD file to import layers as normal. When I try to import a layered AI file, I don't get the "Import Layered File" dialog as I do with the PSD files; I get a flattened image. Is this a setting I've overlooked or is this STILL not a feature?

I'm using Photoshop Elements 10 Organizer with Premiere Elements10 Installed. I have a number of files of type MTS which I understand to be AVCHD and are imported from my Panasonic Lumix TZ20 camera which captures HD video. These files will not play in the Organizer, resulting in a message stating the required Codec is missing. However, when the same file is sent to Premiere Elements for Editingand agreeing to a message to have Premiere set the correct properties for the media type it plays perfectly. What am I do wrong? Are there any settings I need to change to have Organizer also play the file successfully?
