today the preset brushes i use a lot aren't working properly.Dodge and soften skin are my main ones i use but they are making NO impact at all on the photos i use them on, im doing nothing different!

i have some automated virtual folders for uploading to flickr.
in former times, when i changed one of the pictures and pressed "publish", the pictures which were already online have been deleted and uploaded again (replaced).now i have a lot of dublicates on flickr.
CS2 dodge tool stopped working as set, yet Burn, Sponge, Clone Tools all work; dodge tool leaves centered white specks if clicked multiple times; all my CS1 tools work; all my CS2 & CS1 tool settings are same (0 hardness, 20% exposure), rebooting does not fix; Is it possible to create this problem by accidentally typing Shift, Alt or Ctrl "," or "." or similar whilst using CS2 Dodge Tool?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was creating an .acb (adobe color book) file to access my company's colors from the color picker's color libraries section and everything was going well. It was all working, I've been using it for some time, and then I decided to change the name of my library in the coding.
After that the color libraries stopped working. Not only my color library, but the color library function in Photoshop. Now when I try to access the color libraries section from the color picker, it simply closes the color picker. It doesn't give me any error message. Photoshop doesn't crash or anything, it's only that I can't access the color libraries section.
I tried removing my .acb file from the Adobe Photoshop CS2PresetsColor Books folder, but it didn't solve the problem. The color libraries still won't open.
Anyone knows a solution to this problem. It's kind of urgent since I need that color library file working for a tool I'm developping for my company.
Would there be someplace in Photoshop that I could reset Photoshop's color libraries to start from scratch and go back to my old version of the .acb file that was working perfectly, before I changed it's name?
Right now I'm using Photoshop CS2, I should be switching to Photoshop CS3 soon,
I recently updated to Photoshop CS6.1 (or 13.1) from the Creative Cloud and my shadows stopped working again.The draggable shadows in 3D do not show up at all. If I render my image the shadows appear.
Also If I turn on reflections, they show up just fine, but the shadows are still not there. My computer is an HP with:
Windows 7 home premium 64 bit Intel i7 2.8 GHz processor 8 GB RAM AMD Radeon HD 6570 graphics card with 1GB DDR3 dedicated memory .if there is anything I can do to get these draggable shadows working again
I have a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet, photoshop CS6 and Windows 7. The pressure sensitivity of my tablet won't work anymore. Roughly, it said to uninstall my wacom driver, unplug the tablet, reboot, install driver, plug in the tablet and reset my preferences in photoshop. I've done this last night and it worked, I was thrilled but it was late, was exhausted,When I turned it back on and went in photoshop this morning it didn't work anymore, pressure sensitivity was gone again. I get this little warning in my brush settings when I try to put it on Pen Pressure or tilt or other setting that requires pressure sensitivity, The only way I can get it to work is with the process I mentioned (uninstalling driver, unplugging tablet, rebooting etc...) but I'd need to do this every time I shut down my computer and that's a bit of a pain..I've also tried installing different drivers, the latest one first, when that didn't work I tried older ones to see if it would make a difference to no avail.

None of the above work [as expected] any more. I think this happened after the 6.3 Update.To replicate the problem:
1. Fire up CorelDRAW
2. Draw a closed shape and fill it with a color of your choice.
3. Open any of the above effects mentioned in the first post.
4. Try moving any of the sliders and see what happens. (Try with both the preview button locked and unlocked.)
I am sure you will notice what I mean. Surprisingly, they all work as usual, once you convert the vector object to a bitmap!
I develop AutoCAD using .NET, I use the Edit and Continue feature in Visual Studio 2008 while debugging and testing what I wrote. I recently got a new machine and now my Edit and Continue doesn't seem to work anymore.

The realistic views have been working the whole time before but now it is not working. I click on it, and it just switches back to shaded view. If I click on shadows, or reflections I get the following message.
"One or more visual effects in use are not supported by the current system graphics hardware. We strongly recommend running the Diagnostics check in applications option for detailed information.Would you like to run hardware Diagnostics now?"

Since AutoCAD 2013, I'm not able to use tracking when inserting block from tool palette. Example, I want to insert a door at 6 inches from a wall. I click the door from the tool palette, leave a tracking point at the wall corner, move the cursor in the right direction and type 6 follow by enter. The door is insert randomly in the drawing. It was working perfectly in previous release.
Actually I had to insert the door anywhere in the drawing and moving it at the right place and rotate it if required, it is very tedious.
I have this heavy issue, i can't send to back a line, an object or a hatch under other lines. In 2012 i used this feature a lot but in 2013 it's not working very much, maybe 1 time out of 10 and i absolutely can't say why.
HPDRAWORDER = 1 seems to work with a new hatch.. but i can't redraw everything.
Let's say i put an entire floor plan into block then draw over it. (I don't want to start a Xref discussion please) i can't send the entire bloc to the back.I used to do that with 2012, 2008, 2007.. but it's 2013 it's not working, is there a way to correct that?
I occasionally use GIMP to burn-down parts of portraits that compete with the face. For example, bare shoulder, midriff over-light, hands over-lit.
The skin ends up looking greyish, not like less-lit skin. It works not too badly visually, as the emphasis is on the face, but fails on inspection.
I have tried the burn tool and just plain old Brightness, both on a selected area.
I have been useing LR5.3 without any issues for a while. Suddenly, I cannot import files from anywhere. I tried optimizing catalog with no results. When I import, it gives me a message box saying "Some import operations were not performed", then lists all the files under "could not copy file to the requested location", and offers me a link to "save as"

I recently had my HD replaced with a SSD, and still using the HD as a secondary drive on which I have my catalogue.
I got the beta 4.1 and it's giving me the following message when trying to uploading images (update collection) to flickr. LR 4.0 was working great. Is there a specifc forum for 4.1beta errors?

I reinstalled both LR4.2RC and Photoshop CS5 on a new drive. But now I can't seem to edit in Photoshop from LR. Am I doing something wrong? It worked fine before (except for getting the "Render in Lightroom" thing because of the differnece in process versions). Using Windows 7 Prof. Cntrl E no longer works and Edit in Photoshop is grayed out on the drop down menu. Both work independently just fine. A setting in LR perhaps?

O I thought let me try to re import them well the photos show up but they are greyed out like an already imported file is. how can I get these photos that lightroom % thinks are already imported to show up in the library.
View 13 Replies View RelatedIn the past few months, my ability to see the preview of a DNG file on my macbook pro (mountain lion - up-to-date) has been lost. I've been having some buggy issues with my computer, so this weekend I did an erase/clean install of Mt. Lion, and now I'm slowly adding everything back on. I have LR 4, and the CS5 creative suite (did all necessary updates last night on all software). I kept my fingers crossed that it's all I needed to do to finally see the DNG previews again. The major kicker is that I have access to all these files on another mac, with updated software, and I can view the previews just fine on it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm on a Mac with Lightroom 5.3 freshly installed. It worked neatly for a couple of days when importing either from my iPhone or my 6D (from the card reader). Suddenly it stopped doing that. I've been through all the discussions and I've tried the following steps:
- delete the preference file (and re-start Lightroom)
- re-install Lightroom
- create a new catalogue (won't work either)
- checked the permissions (as in the beginning, it would tell me that it can't read my files - but they worked perfectly!), which were fine
- cleared the "recently used" file paths of the import dialogue
- re-booted my Mac about a gazillion times
- updated the RAW software
- re-installed Lightroom again (but having deleted pretty much everything from the HD that was Lightroom related)
It just won't work. But before I re-installed Lightroom, it would still give me the "error: can't read files" sign. Now, it simply starts importing (the progress bar starts anyway) and then it just stops at one point, not having imported anything. Lightroom doesn't freeze, it just doesn't do anything and the progress bar stops. I wanted to attach a screenshot to show you what it looks like right now, but that didn't work either, so whatever.
Here's the thing: it still works in Lightroom 4. So now I've been importing into Lightroom 4 and adding the files without moving them to Lightroom 5. But what kind of workflow is that? It's literally killing me because I've paid money for the software and I was patient enough to go over all the trouble shooting, but I'm really out of wit.
I cannot export pics anymore, when I press the export button the normal screen comes up but slightly different and NO export button...this wouldn't be because I only have 10 days left on the trial period would it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIn the import or sync dialog I see my photos, but after starting the import or sync the progress bar hangs at 100% and no new photos are in my katalog. I have tried to import from HDD and SD-Card reader, both end in the same problem. Import in a new katalog does not work either. No error message comes up and I have free storage space.

View 2 Replies View RelatedA couple of days ago, The exact same thing started happening with LR3.6. I was hoping updating would do the trick but the exact same thing takes place. With an adjustment brush, when clicking on the image, it, the image, disappears as soon as I click on it. Same thing with gradient filter, the image disappears when I start dragging. Switching to the Library Module, my image is still there. For my image to reappear I have to select another image and go back to my initial image. Even then, I am still "holding" my brush even though my "Tools Strip" is not open. To get rid of the brush, I have to select it AND deselect it for it to disappear.Only then I can do further editing on that particular file that does not involve brush and/or gradient filter. Everything else seems to be working properly. This never happened until 3 days ago and I did not download any new program.

I used to be able to double click on an image in Loupe view in Library mode and I would zoom into that image. I think that stopped when I got to LR5, I'm in 5.3 now. Now when I double click in Loupe view, I'm back out to grid view. Drop down menu suggests I just need to hit return, same thing happens. This happens at all zoom levels fit, fill, 1:1, etc. I'm running OSX 10.9.2. Sounds like a setting issue, but I've looked.
