I'm not sure what the heck is going on. All my photos are missing in that blanks show up, not the photo when I go to library. There is the ? which I understand that lightroom can't find the photo but I do have my external hard drive attached but lightroom is only connecting to the C: Drive.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the Lightroom 4 trial program. After watching a tutorial on importing and organizing I imported a few photos from the hard drive on my laptop. All the functions of the program are working but the images of the photos don't show up.Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the program? Can I do that and still have the trial time of 30 days? Is there some other on/off thing I need to do to make this work?

View 3 Replies View RelatedLR 5 is unable to show images of my photos when importing from my Cannon EOS 400. LR3 was able to. Now, in each image frame, I get a message "image not available". The images import correctly, and I can edit them, but I am not able to prescreen them, etc. prior to importation. I have not installed the EOS raw management software. The only other photo editing software I use is IrfanView, as a quick viewer only. I'm running Windows 7, on a Dell Quad core, with mobile NVidea card and plenty of memory.

This pulls up all 8000 plus photos rather than just the file folder in which I am working. Is there a way to get these tiffs to show in previous import photos?

Just to be clear... For example, I have a folder with 150 images; I've flagged 37 of them; rated 25 two stars and 15 red label. Is there some counter or other way to see at a glance just how many there are filtered?

Windows 7, 64-bit, 12GB of memory, Photoshop CS6, LR4.
In Photoshop, a normal Nikon D300 image, opened from LR4. I have my normal complement of layers for cloning/healing, dodging, burning, curves, hue/sat, etc.
EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE - not consistent, no idea what provokes it - I zoom in while cloning to clean up some small area, and at some point in the zooming, my image disappears and I have the white/gray series of boxes on the entire screen (the thing that shows up when you increase canvas and there's no image on that part)... I can zoom back out, and all of a sudden I have an image again. Zooming in makes it disappear. I have the clone tool set to "Sample All Layers", so it shouldn't be seeing a blank layer, and IT WORKS FINE ALMOST ALL THE TIME.
I've tried closing the image and reopening it, but that made no difference. Did the same thing.
I have to shut down Photoshop and restart it, and then it typically works when zooming in the same way on the same image...
Is this a memory issue (12GB isn't enough for CS6?) or do I have something configured wrong?
I have a Window xp 64 os with 8GB of ram and plenty of disk space. When I use the lasso tool, after two or three clicks, the menus blank out, another few clicks, and the image goes blank (makes it difficult to finish the selection). As far as I know, everything is up to date.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I am in an image, selecting an area with the polygon lasso tool, every time I click a point, the image blanks out and does not redraw. I am left with my pologon selection lines and a white image where the photo should be. The only way to get the image back is to force it to scroll. I have to extend the tool off one side of the image or another to make it scroll. Otherwise the screen does not redraw. I am forced to work with my images in a window instead of fullscreen to ensure that I have part of the image to scroll to when the image blanks out. It is doing this with every click of the polygon lasso tool.Needless to say, this is maddening! Has anyone seen this behavior before? I am running Adobe Photoshop CS3 on Windows XP and the program is up to date. I have two gigs of ram and have moved up the memory allocated to Photoshop from half to two thirds. I have stopped having other programs opened. I also tried turning off the preference for the 3D graphics acceleration. View 2 Replies View RelatedThis has happened since CS5 I think. When I select an area to copy into another document, I am so used to dragging it over to the destination document. Sometimes I have more than one document open at a time and dragging over them blanks them out.

I have a HP DesignJet 110 nr connected as a network printer. I have all the drivers updated including the network card. I have unistalled and reinstalled all the drivers and software. I have also replaced the ink cart. too. When I print in AutoCAD 2011 it acts like it is printing stuff, but it goes throught the whole process and nothing prints. I just started creating PDFs and sending them to the printer, but thought I would give it a new shot.

Then when it asks if I want to close I say "No". Then my photo shows up so I can work on it.
I have put photos in the part and the assembly but they wont show up in the presentation.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a few folders that show no evidence of photos. When I Add Unmanaged Files it says that they are already catalogged or the file format is not recognized. When I open these files in the Editor and save the dited version, they show up in the Organizer, but I cannot get any of the others in this folder to show up. It seems to be working in the other folders with pictures. These are jpg files BTW
View 1 Replies View RelatedPSE 8, Windows XP.I have a large file of photos of ferns. They are in tiff format. I have tagged them with categories and subcategories. Wanting a separate file of the same photos in jpg format I did the following:
1. I selected all the photos in the folder and went to file|write keyword tags and properties into photos.
2. I exported the 900+ photos to a new folder keeping names intact but changing from tiff to jpg
3. I went to file|get folders from files and folders
4. I found the folder and got it.
5. PSE imported the photos into the catalog first asking me if I wanted to import the tags. I checked select all
6. PSE shows the thumbnails but there are no tag icons and if I select a tag from the tags list, it finds the photo for the tiff photo but not the jpg photo.
I have inserted aerial photos into a drawing. When I go to layout view and print preview either to my plotter or my pdf writer I can see the aerial image just fine within the viewport. But once it actually makes a pdf or prints it to the plotter the aerial photos are not there, just the polylines and objects within the drawing.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIn Elements 11 on a Windows 8 64 bit machine. I can upload photos to Facebook using the standard quality without any problems.
However if I select the High quality option, the upload appears to work, I get the progress bar, and the done message, and if I select a new album the album is created on Facebook, but the album is empty and the photos do not appear anywhere in etiher the newly created album, or an existing album if that has been selected.
The orignal files are JPGs around 7.5MB in size.
Problem: When I create a new viewport, another viewport's paperspace blanks out or disappears. When I copy a viewport over, the new VP doesn't show anything and you can't maximize/"enter" its paperspace; it's like a simple rectangle, but the properties box says it is indeed a viewport.
Ex. Viewport 1 shows the top view of an object, Viewport 2 shows the right side view... as soon as I add Viewport 3, the top view in VP 1 blacks out. I attempt to ReDraw, Regenerate, etc, but it doesn't re-appear. I've run Plot Preview to see if maybe it's just a fluke with the graphics card on my screen, but alas, even in plot preview the viewport is blanked out.
It almost seems like there is a limited number of viewports I can use.
Solution: Run the MaxActVP command and set the value to a number greater than the number of VPs you actually need. This particular file had that value set at 2; hence, why a new, third VP blanked out the first one.
I'm unable to drag a group of photos or even single photos to a publish folder. In this case it's SmugMug. What is the correct method?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI copied photo folders from my hard drive to lightroom 4 and edited them but then accidentally removed these folders from lightroom. I then imported these folders again into lightroom but all the edits I made orginally in lightroom don't show up for the individual photo's.
I backed up the Lightroom catalogue regularily. Is there any way I can reattach these edits to their respective photos'. There is lot of photo's involved.
When I merge LR5 catalogs the existing photos are overwritten by the incoming photos

If I import iPhoto photo’s directly within Organizer I loose photo information.
I add five photos to a folder in Lightroom 4.3. The photos are in the specified folder in Windows. Import shows the five photos as imported but greyed out and semi-highlighted. Library does not show these five photos. What can I do?
