View 2 Replies View RelatedI am wondering whether there is a chance that Lightroom might work under Vista 64 in the future.
So far I bought all versions of Lightroom and without reading the requirements I bought LR5 as well. Only to discover during installation that Vista 64 is not supported anymore. What a shame! I was really looking forward to LR5, but I do not intend to upgrade the operating system on my still excellent computer. That will render other software useless, which is incompatible with Windows 7 or 8. For now there is no other option than asking a refund. However, I hope there are enough people like me, that will be lost as a LR customer, so that Adobe will rethink its policy.
I am unable to upload .ARW files from the SONY RX1R even after updating to LR4.3. Is there support for these files. If so, what do I need to do?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI know the files are "supported", and will open. However, the quality is quite bad and nowhere near as good as opening the same file in Capture One. Also, long exposure shots see the "black frame" totally discarded and the images are extremely noisy. Phase One support say it's because LR and CS6 are only using a portion of the Raw file and to ask Adobe.
I would migrate to LR5 today if there were a fix or an explanation. Capture One forkflow doesn't suit me. However, the quality is just too bad to accept.
I've just purchased a Sony RX100 camera. It captures RAW files in a format that ends in .ARW. Neither Lightroon nor Photoshop recognize that format. Is there any way short of converting .ARW to JPG that I can overcome this?

View 11 Replies View RelatedLast week I sold my Panasonic GH2 and bought an Olympus OM-D E-M5. My 14-45 Panasonic lens shows some nasty purple color fringing with the OM-D (not your ordinary green-purple chromatic aberration, but purple fringing on both sides of highly exposed items, such as steel wheel covers). This I never(!!) saw with the GH2. Fortunately I can correct this in Lightroom. I go (in Develop module) to lens corrections - color - remove edge (purple). This works really well, and I know I can synchronize all affected images. But I would like to have this done automatically, just as Lightroom automatically removes all color faults when using micro four-thirds Panasonic lenses with a micro four-thirds Panasonic body. This is done through special data supplied by Panasonic which are read and implemented by Lightroom (I believe).
Unfortunately this doesn't work when using a Panasonic lens on an Olympus body, which is my reason for this question. I can make my own profile using Adobe Profile Creator to automatically remove chromatic aberration. Reading the tutorial I get the impressions these profiles only remove normal chrom. aberration, not the special purple color fringing I am talking about. So: is there any way to automate this fringing, or do I have to work on all affected images in Lightroom using the technique I described?
Wondering before I get all involved and can't go on ...
