I was able to fix issue of "offline", so at least LR is seeing the right drive. HOWEVER see all the ? next to folders? and where did the extra LR CATALOG PREVIEWS Irdata folder come from with no question mark?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently had to repair my Windows Home 7 Premium. Since the repair, a number of programs would not start...this System Error dialog appears:
The program can't start because .DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem.
The programs were Lightroom 4.1, Acronis True Imeage 2012, AVG Antivirus and Vegas Movie Studio 10. Photoshop Elements 9 was unaffected.
I uninstalled and reinstalled all affected programs. TrueImage, Antivirus and Vegas started working again with no issues. Lightroom 4 kept showing the same error (even though the reinstall is always successful). I tried installing 4.0, 4.1 and 4.3, all of them have the same problem.
I've created a BIG catalogue with photos from various drives. And each time I've used "export" to copy the photos to an internal drive on a brand new computer with a huge drive.
I'd like the main catalogue to ALL refer to the files on the new huge drive?
I am using lightroom 3.2. I edited some photos for a client and he wanted something turned into black and white. I went b ack into my library to re-edit the photo and it says the folder is not available and the "photo is missing". It is saying the original photo is not able to be found. I exported the edited folders into a folder on my desktop which is a process that I always do. I am confused as to why it is saying this, I have never seen this message before. I cannot access any of my photos.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI use an iMac, Lion OS and Lightroom3. I store all my photo files (approx. 50,000) on a Drobo RAID system. Apple replaced my iMac HD. I connected an external 750GB G-Drive for Time Machine back-up. Since there was not sufficient memory on the G-Drive, I set the Time Maching to ignore my Picures. After moving the pictures over to the Drobo and deleting the Pictures on the iMac HD, my Lightroom files went missing. I used the Locate File option to find one of the missing files. Before I initiated this, the folder in the library showed 640 files. After locating the missing file, the folder shows 0 files. The missing file is now showing and available.

Autocad 2012 LT locks up when using the copy and move commands. This last for a minute or more then starts working again. The rest of the computer works fine while this is going on. Intel i7 2600 16 GB ram Nvidia G force GTX 460 video card, Windows 7 Home Edition with SP 1 and latest upgades.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have both Photoshop CS3 and CS5 installed on a Windows 7 64-bit system. Photoshop CS5 has two Helvetica fonts: one TrueType and one Type 1. The TT version only offers italic and bold italic styles. The T1 font offers the full suite of bold, italic, bold italic (or oblique), and medium (or regular). This seems odd, but it's sufficient. Photoshop CS3, on the same computer, only offers me the Helvetica TT font, with just the two styles mentioned above. Why can't CS3 see the T1 Helvetica? Why does the TT Helvetica only show me two styles? In case it's relevant, I believe the Type 1 version is the only one I deliberately installed, and I recently upgraded to a 2010 version of the font made available by Adobe.

Computer 1's hard drive crash and all programs and data were recovered professionally and sent to me on an External Hard Drive. Computer 1 was on Windows 7. I can fun the program off of the External Hard drive fine, when connected to my my new Computer. I click on the .exe file and it pulls up the catalogue as it should. All off of the recovery drive.
The new Computer, is on Windows 8.1. How do I get the Adobe Catalogues moved/copied to the new Computer?
I redownload Adobe 10 onto my new 8.1 Computer from the Adobe website. Using the new download, I was able to open the Catalogue on the External Drive (F). Cannot find a way to "relocate" the Catalogue to the new computer. The pictures have already been copied to the new computer.
I have switched my "mouse" over to the number keypad like it says to do for the touchpad computer. I go to tranform image size and the outline surrounding the photo only moves up/down or side-to-side. How do I get the outline to move at the corners so I can easily manipulate the size? Either way - FN, CTRL, Win or other buttons do nothing to enlarge photo to where I want to set it. How can I accomplish this - any experts on touchpad conversion to number keypads out there? This is Win8 with PSE11. I just want this computer to get up to par to do some photo editing.
