Nov 28, 2013I would like to import multiple catalogs simultaneously into one catalog.
The thing is that I lost my main catalog in a hard-drive failure and my last backup is too old. Fortunately I always "export a folder as catalog" into the original pictures folder, so I always keep starring, color editing, etc.
What I would like to do now is to import each of these litle catalogs into one new main one, without having to import each at a time, but all simultaneously, which would save me an enormous amount of time.
Is there a way to do this?

When I go to import in lightroom, LR imports photos from both the SD and CF so I get duplicates ("Don't Import Duplicates" is irrelevant here, this applies only to photos already on the computer).How do I make LR import from just one card?

How do I link(or whatever) 3D layers in order for them to move together (such as, rotating)? I have a logo that has two layers, and I want the 2nd layer to be raised up off the other layer.
I have tried to link them, but when I do that, there's a circle with a line through it, signifying this I can't rotate the; environment, scene, current view, or the shape.
How do I over come this?

May 3, 2012I have an assembly with multible parts which all have iLogic rules in them. I want to controle when the rules are executed in each part, thus I have set them as "Don't run automatically". These rules are iTriggered by the top assembly, if they are active.
Is there a possibility of how I can run multiple rules simultaneously?
The code below is an example of the controle rule that determines the rules to be run but it takes one rule at the time...

I have also tried with For - Next statements...But the rules are run in the order that tey are written...
As the computer has a lot of memory in reserve; I want somehow all the iTriggerRules to be run at the same time as this would save a lot of time.

Aug 5, 2011I'm a new user of PSP X3, having upgraded from X2 and previously from X. When I used earlier versions, I could have numerous images open in the workspace, re-sizing, comparing, cross-cloning, etc. Now with X3 I can't seem to find any setting that will allow that same multiple image viewing. I've looked at the documentation but can't find any mention of this issue.
Am I just missing some checkbox or did Corel abandon this capability?

I have 4 different text layers showing up, and they're all visible. (a real small "the," a much larger "Wedding," a small "of," and a large "Jane Smith.") I like to have the different words on separate text layers so I can move them around and lay them out the way I like.
I got to the point where I wanted to apply blending effects to the text (drop shadow, bevel, whatever). Now, since I have 4 different text layers, what I'd normally do is merge them into one rasterized layer and then do my effects. But I'm wondering if there is a better, more non-destructive way.
I do video graphic design at my job, working with a video editor, and it would be extremely convenient if I could apply effects to multiple text layers without first rasterizing and merging the layers. i.e. when my boss or the client is looking over my shoulder, and I can show him what the text looks like with the blending FX without having to commit to the text placement/size by rasterizing/merging.

Aug 1, 2013I have an assembly with multiple parts.
I wish to change the colour (how they're displayed) of a few of them.
When i right click on the part, i can select iProperties>Occurrence>Appearance
When i control + select multiple items, then right click, the Appearance tab is greyed out.
Not a huge problem at the moment, but in future, I may wish to make 30 + different parts a different colour and would like to do it in one step.

Aug 5, 2012I have seen similar questions here on the forum but either they are not what I'm looking for, or older versions of LR.What I need is to import from one folder / memory card and mark some of the photos with different shoot names or headline. This name should then be used as a final folder name.
My current structure:

- 06_Cyprus
- 07_Vacation in Denmark
- 07_Trip to Oslo
I have 20.000 photos in this structure already imported by Bibble and before that Downloader Pro. I would like to do everything in one program, not have to use Downloader Pro every time I need to structure my photos.
The only way I have seen to do this in Lightroom 4 is to do multiple imports and that gets annoying! This is the biggest factor for me if I will continue with Bibble / Corel Aftershot or go for Lightroom.

Mar 11, 2014I make TV features, using multiple P2 cards. I use a Panasonic card reader to use my footage on Adobe Prem Pro.
How do I use footage from the three cards, and export it as a MP4, if two of the three cards I need to use aren't in the card reader? I've done things all off one card and it works ok. When I take a card out to use another one, it will tell me the footage is offline, right?
Photoshop :: Crash With Multiple Video Cards
Nov 15, 2008I have three monitors connected to two separate graphics cards, an 8800GT and an FX5200 (PCI). Now, this setup works fine in regular XP Pro, with driver 175.19; Photoshop CS4's OpenGL works without a problem save for the brush cursor bug. However, I installed Vista x64 as a dual boot for the RAM boost, and ran into a bit of a wall.
Photoshop now refuses to work at all with the OpenGL enhancements on. It loads (an improvement in itself, used to get stuck at "Reading preferences"), but it'll freeze when I try to open a file or go to the performance settings. I'm currently using driver 171.16; I know it's outdated, but it's the most recent one that works with both cards in Vista x64. I'm also quite sure it's not the problem; Photoshop works perfectly with OpenGL on if I disable the FX5200.
I've tried the registry key AllowOldGPUs_ON to no effect. I've also tried both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions, with no difference. Is it possible to get Photoshop working with both cards, short of replacing the FX5200?

4GB RAM
Over 300GB HDD space available for scratch disk use

Is there a way to Import these folders at one time and keep the names, or will they all come into Lightroom only as 2012?

It seems that one should be able to select a range with one click (e.g. holding down Shift and then clicking the last image in the range) or by using a context (right-click) menu. No dice.

Jun 30, 2013Lightroom 4 can no longer see the pictures on my SD card when I insert it into my computer. The photos are definately on there, when I right click and press 'show in finder' they are all right there, yet Lightroom can't see them - it show '0 Photos' on the memory card tab .
I played around moving pictures from sub folders on the SD card to the first level (which didn't make a difference), and checked read/write permissions (which all seem fine).
Gear:
-IMac, OS X v10.7.5, Intel Core i5.
-Nikon D5000
-Mix of SanDisk and PNY Professional memory cards (all have pictures on and Lightroom cant see any!)

Jan 15, 2013Scenario: I'm out in the field filling memory cards and reviewing them on my secondary PC (laptop), marking & editing various images at night. I do not manage to import all of the photos off of all of my cards (and can't due to disk space requirements). I want to keep the edits and work (and images, due to running out of cards I formated some of them that I _knew_ were in the LR catalogue AND backed up onto other devices).
I get home to my primary PC and export the laptop catalouge and then import it, WIN. I start importing images from cards that ARE NOT IN THE CATALOUGE, also WIN. I put in a card that has AT LEAST _SOME_ (but not necessarily all) images in the exported catalouge. Lightroom FAILS to notice that images that were imported FROM THE SAME CARD into the Laptop & Desktop with THE SAME CATALOUGE are duplicates!
What I want to do is to BE SURE that all of my images are in my primary/desktop catalouge WITHOUT dupes. I want to insert the memory card and have LR import ONLY THE ONES IT DOES NOT ALREADY have. This seems like somehting LR should automagically support, but apparently not. How do I accomplish what I want to do without doing something rediculous like importing everything regardless, then buying a de-duping tool, deleting the duplicate images using file system tools, then removing the not found images manually from LR?

Photoshop :: Run 32-bit And 64-bit Simultaneously?
May 31, 2012Photoshop x32 and Photoshop x64 don't run simultaneously . . . as far as I know. When either is already running and I attempt to start the other it refuses to start.
My plug-ins aren't 64-bit compatible.
Therefore I'm constantly closing PS x64 and opening PS x32 to do stuff with my plug-ins. Then closing that and starting up the x64 version again.

I just found out how to open it in Photoshop: open as....RAW file. But I want several psd-files opening in ACR simultaneously, because I want to synchronize them. That is not possible; I can only select just 1 file.

The issue that occurs is after importing images they are adjusted automatically to develop module cross process 1. After dealing with this annoyance for a bit of time I realized that I can not even "RESET ALL" the images to delete the adjustment. In delving into other images that have been in my database for quite some time, I have tried to "RESET ALL", which resets images to CROSS PROCESS 1. I have never set import to automatically adjust.
