View 1 Replies View RelatedI have produced some artwork for my the printers in X5 Corel.
The artwork includes two fills using radial fill with two grey colours from the Corel CMYK metalic palette to produce a simulation of a metal finish.
If I output as JPG the moirè is eliminated but as a PDF, even with complex fills going to BITmaps I end-up with the moirè.
This is the output as a JPEG:

I scanned (HP 7400c) an old photo that was printed on a "silk" textured paper and when I try to enlarge it in Photoshop, I get what I believe is called a moire effect. It is a pattern all over the image caused by the textured paper. Is there any way I can eliminate this in Photoshop, or must I photograph the image and work from that?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIs there a good technique to remove or prevent a moiré pattern from a digital camera capture? I work for a small real estate newspaper and lately the majority of images we have received from Agents have been unretouched jpeg files from digital cameras. In many of them we are seeing a distinct moiré pattern, usually where the repeated geometric patterns in the design of the house exist. Typically this is usually the roof tiles, or siding of the house. I have tried to remove the moiré in PhotoShop using the filter>noise>deskpeckle, the filter>blur>gaussian blur and the filter>noise>median, and Katrin Eismann's LAB method all with limited and unsatisfactory results.

Â
I opened a jpeg file (not raw) in camera raw. When I use the moire adjustment brush - set to +100 - and click on the eyeglass tool in the window to see the effect - it shows a white overlay.
Â
Clicking the preview button doesn't show up any difference.I have saved several files as tests but the moire remains unaltered.

I updraged to Lightroom 5 and noticed that the interface is a lot bigger than Lightroom 4. I have an Acer Aspire S7 which has one of those HiDPI displays. Is there any way to get the interface the size it was in Lightroom 4.

Happy to have it back opening... I shut down and LR recommened a backup of my 30,000 images. After 14 hours the system was still in full lock down and I had to force a restart. Now the file is listed as not writeable and cannot be opened.

I removed the *.lrcat.lock and this will not work this time.

I'm doing a set of postcards that will send to print using offset.
I will tidy up in PS and correct in Lightroom.
It's just when I make the corrections in LR(inRGB) and send to PS to convert to CMYK.
I convert to CMYK in PS only to loose some colour corrections.
you can only export as RGB in lightroom.
So what is Lightroom used for then? Only digital print or web? Does RAW have a CMYK function?
How can I maintain the correct colour to output as CMYK onto an offset printer using LR?
What is the best way to colour correct Photos for CMYK?
I have LR4.3 for at least one year. He has worked correctly until 2 weeks ago. But now it is impossible to have correct color in the "development " part.
When i choose the pictures in the computer to load them, their colors are "normal" but after to have loaded them, The pictures are red, blue, green, yellowl etc without gradient (like solarization) Even if the picture loaded is in B&W.
And the "histogram" has the same colors.
When i decide to send these pictures to the computer, their colors are again "normal" (with the changes I have done) but without be able to control them during their passage in LR4.3.

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing Lightrooms printmodule with this printer is a big problem for me. Using Cannon Print studio Works, but then you loose a lot of great functionallity in LR print module.
Â
It seems that when I make a preset or set up printer with correct ICC profile the canon printer driver automatically resets to its own default.
It looks like a print driver in the background resets everything i do. Very confusing and Canon support points to adobe.
Â
My setup:
Macpro with OSX 10.9.2 (latest version)
Lightroom 5.3 (creative cloud member, always latest version)
Canon Pixma pro-100 (bought new april 2014)

I have looked several places on internett and it looks that there are a lot people having similar problems.
Is there a way to correct the slight inverted pyramid effect caused by a 17-40 when taking interior room shots in Lightroom or do I have to go to PhotoShop to do this? I have found the lens profile correction but are there other tools in LR to use? What I am seeing is a slight outward shift from floor to ceiling on side walls and need to straighten these walls.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have 28 photographs taken sequentialy but not at same intervals; they are part of a collection. I proceed to select all of them and choose "Stacking-Auto stack by capture time..." from the context menu and choose time between stacks as 0:01:00 (one minute)
Â
However I find the capture time of photos in any one stack exceed 1 minute!! For instance, these are the capture times of photos in a single stack:
Â
8:19:12PM, 8:19:25PM, 8:19:43PM, 8:20:24PM, 8:21:19PM, 8:21:45PM
 Â
We can clearly see that the capture times between members of this stack are not within 1 minute.
