Lightroom :: Error 0xc000007b After Install Of LR5 Upgrade
Jul 8, 2013
I installed the upgrade version of Lightroom 5 (running 3.6) on a Dell laptop with 4GB RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate. The install never asked for the serial number. When I try to start it I get the folowing message: "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."
I am getting an application error (0xc000007b) when I attempt to start LR4. I have uninstalled and reinstalled application with same result. what is happening and how I can get it up and running again?
'The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.'I receive the error whenever turning on my laptop, and have ever since installing Lightroom4
I have LR 3 and I would like to upgrade to LR 4. Can I install the upgrade to LR 4 and still keep my LR 3 installation intact so that I can switch back and forth between the two versions if I want to?
Have had the problem 0xc000007b caused by ilivid with LR4, easily fixed something I have to do each time there is a software update. My most recent software update of Photoshop is causing a new error message. CS6ServiceManager.exe - Application Error unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Can't run Photoshop!!
The installer stops with this dialog "Insufficient privileges ....." to accesss <file name> Program FilesAdobeAdobe Lightroom 4.2Resourceslensprofiles1.0SigmaSigma When I as the administrator go to this file in Explorer, I can do nothing with: CANNOT SEE THE OWNER, CANNOT SEE PERMISSIONS.... The one thing I have not tried yet is delete it.
I got to this point in the following way: I installed Lightroom from a DVD I purchased; it contained Lightroom 4. On startup it offered to upgrade to LR 4.2. For the rest, see above.
have an install fail on a minor item. Moreover, a prior dialog box said that it was installing the features I selected: I never was given the opportunity to select anything.
Trying to install LR4 upgrade and it won't install.
Error msg when clicking the yellow package reads: The operation couldn't be completed.(com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.) Couldn't open "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.pkg".
My system is an iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo w/ 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3.Just upgraded to 10.6.3 Snow Leopard and the HD has 893GB available.
I downloaded LR 4.0 as an upgrade to 3 for my iMac. When I try to install, the error message I receive is Operation could not be completed ([url]... error-1). What's the problem?
I recently purchased an upgrade from CS5 to CS6. I have never had Photoshop on my laptop, just my desktop PC. However, I will be attending a photography school in a few months, and I'd like to have Photoshop on my laptop. Can I install the CS6 upgrade on my laptop? (It's a download, not a CD).
I just bought and downloaded the CS4 upgrade to CS3 and when I extract eh install file, I get an error message that says there is a problem extracting the files, check for available spacwe and privilidges. When trying to read the extracted .pdf files, Acrobat says that the files are corrupt or not .pdf. When I run the extracted setup file, it creates 2 files and stops with an error message that says " A problem occured when extracting some files. Check available space and write privledges".I have re downloaded the upgrade 3 times and get the same results.I even tried it on my other computer running XP Pro and get the same results....same error message and can no open the included .pdf files due to corruption or?
Whenever I click on Setup.exe, the hourglass shows for a moment and then nothing at all happens! I have tried everything I know: making a New Admin account, disabling Services and Startups via msconfig, doing a thorough virus check (nothing found), etc. I have tried to first uninstall CS3 but, surprisingly, it will not uninstall via Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel: after clicking Change/Remove, nothing happens. I spent considerable time with a support person at Adobe but to no avail.
I should add that I install and uninstall programs frequently, and I have never before had any such problems with other Adobe products such as Lightroom or previous versions of Photoshop. There is nothing exotic about my system: Windows XP, dual monitors (I tried disabling one of them), 4gb RAM, 3 internal hard drives, ATI radeon graphics card.
I just signed up to the PhotoShop & Lightroom Cloud. Photoshop installed OK But Lightroom fails to instal. It give 2 errors:

I've downloaded and run a new CS4 upgrade file from Adobe store. No change.
Just purchased and downloaded the upgrade to X6. During install, the license information is presented, but after clicking the "agree" checkbox and slecting "NEXT", nothing happens. No error message, the NEXT button remains bold as if it has not been selected. Repeated download with same results with 2nd download. Turned off real-time virus checking, same result.CorelPainterLite (free with X6 upgrade) fails in the same manner.

I’m getting “not enough memory” errors (Windows 7 HP 32bit), mostly when I am using Viveza2. This is the primary reason I want to upgrade both my Windows 7 and Photoshop CS5 to 64 bit. What do I need to know about the reinstall, of Photoshop CS5 on a clean install of Windows Home Premium 64bit with 16meg memory?
I have a purchased and downloaded version of CS2 I want to install on my new Win7 computer. However I do not see an installer in the package. How do I install this?
I've been using Photoshop since 1998 but my HDD recently suffered a complete failure and I've had to change the drive. Unfortunately, I don't have my original Photoshop disk, only a CS2 and CS5 upgrade disk (with both serial numbers).
My PC currently runs Photoshop CS3 Extended which I purchased boxed and unopened via the web several years ago. I am trying to upgrade to CS6 but keep getting the error that "The serial number is not for a qualifying product".
I have chosen Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended from the product list and have typed in the SN shown on the CS3 packaging but keep getting the error.
I have attempted the latest update for Photo Shop CS6 twice using the Adobe Application Manager and twice it has failed with the error log - U44M1I216.

When installing Photoshop CS4 I get the following error:Adobe Photoshop CS4 International English Language PackError:Error 2. Adobe Photoshop CS4 International English Language Pack_x64Error:Error 2.Selecting continue tells me that CS4 and CS4 x64 installed correctly. If I just continue on and try to launch the program, I get an error box that says:"Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application."Reinstall didn't help.
I wanted to install the Photoshop CS6 trial, however both installation apps that are available come up with errors:With Adobe Download Assistant, after a few seconds of the message "Installing application", I get the error message: "The application could not be installed. Try installing it again (Error# 0)".
With Adobe Application Manager, after the files are downloaded and extracted, I get the error "Installation failed: Insufficient disk space to extract files. Please clear space on C: and try again (EX10)", even though both on the target drive (which I've set to D:) and on the C: drive, there is plenty of space available (85GB and 2.5GB, respectively).
I previously had CS4 installed, and uninstalled it before attempting to install the trial of CS6. I'm running Win XP SP3 32-bit on a laptop with 4GB RAM.
