I am shooting in RAW, then converting to DNG and the dimension of my photos is 3872 x 2592 (I guess thats always the same?)
Now I need to have a picture dimension of 3500px x 3500px and one 4600px x 3000px. How do I get there?
I assume resizing the photo in the export feature to that dimension is gonna decrease the quality?
I am still stuck with dimension size in LR4. If I would like to crop a picture to a certain dimension.
I need to have my pictures cropped to 4600 x 3000 - so what I am doing is I enter the dimension in custom ratio, then in export I choose image file and enter 4600 x 3000 in dimension size. and then - my picture turns out with 4600 x 2990?
I have managed to get the right size before but for the love of god I can just not remember what I did different then..
Is there a way to change the leader arrowhead size without changing the dimension arrow/tick size?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter I had done all on detail drawing and dimensioning in inventor 2010.idw, my customer want it in 2004.dwg format and they want all drawing to be in files and in model space..And here the problem I face:
1) Base drawing is 1:1 and detail drawing is 4:1, redo a dimension in base drawing is ok but in detail drawing re-dimension it show 4 times the size. I had tried using view port/ scale area still can't.
2) When copy and paste Drawing A to Drawing B the detail drawing fence run out of place and scale. What I do is right click and do a block editor.
Looking for good solution for the above problem during conversion of IDW to DWG.
I'm having an issue with dimensions changing from when I save the drawing to when I reopen it.
I'm using AutoCAD Mechanical 2009, exclusively in 2D. I save drawings in AutoCAD 2000/LT 2000 Drawing format to maintain backwards compatibility with our legacy documents which are still in regular use.
The exact process is:
1. Create dimension in existing drawing.
2. Set units of dimension. Typically this is fractional.
3. Save and close drawing.
4. Reopen drawing, and all of the dimensions units are set to decimal to the fourth decimal point.
If I interact with the dimension in any way, it will return to its set unit. For example, if I double click on it to bring up the Power Dimensioning window and just click Okay without altering anything, it will change back to its set unit. Likewise, if I move the dimension itself it will return to its set unit as well.
So far my solution has been to simply select the entire drawing at once, then move it X units one way, then X units back. The move back and forth will return all the dimensions to their set units.
Obviously this is not ideal, especially when sending drawings to co-workers who are unaware of the issue or even using different versions of AutoCAD.
I am trying to make a large poster for the banner thats on top of a shop on Photoshop cs6 i have the dimension in meters and centimeters and im just wondering if i put these in correctly, will this sure be the right size i need? because it is a little bit too big and i don't want no printing issues to happen.
i am running adobe Photoshop cs6 on a macbook pro, 2.53 ghz intel core 2 duo 4 gb ram mountain x lion

If I create a file in Photoshop without coming from Lightroom or duplicate a file in Photoshop that I opened from Lightroom, is there a way to save the new file from Photoshop to the desired directory on my local hard drive and simultaneously have it added to my Lightroom catalog? Or do I need to save the file then import the file into the catalog? I'm working with CS6.

They all have to be to scale so my dimensions will work properly, the only problem is, when I want to take a screenshot of the image to put into my document, the dimensions are way too **** small. View 5 Replies View RelatedWhenever I try to dimension a drawing in model space the text of the dimension comes out unreadably small.
I go into dimension style manager, I click on modify and I click on the text tab but the text height and fraction height scale is greyed out!
If I click on "new" dimension style the only option I get is to base it off my current dimension style with the text size greyed out again.
How to change the text size of dimensions if at the option is greyed out?
Why are annotative dimension always placed in model space to the created height regardless of the annotation scale I use. using annotation 1:1 or 1:10 or 1:50 my dimension is always inserted to the dimstyle hight of 3.5mm (about 1/8") and not 3.5 x annoscale example 10 = 35mm.
When dimensions are placed using an anno scale of 1:1 and than change the anno scale to 1:10 the dimensions and dim arrows ect are scaled to the correct size 10x value preset in the dimsyle. My text style is non associative and set to 0.0 height.
The only way i can place dimensions to the preferred height is linked to the anno scale is by setting the text style height 3.5 (about 1/8"). but the problem here is that the dim text height will be displayed to selected annotation scale of 1:10 but the dim arrows etx are not to size. I know that setting the text style hight is not the correct way and see why.
All my dimension styles are annotative and and have the ANNOAUTOSCALE set to 1. I have also tried by presetting the object anno scale to the preferred annotations.
Is there any way to change the size of dimension text in sketch? My students cannot see the dimension when I demonstrate the sketch.

All my models for our library items are entirely controlled by Excel sheets and the names of the parameters are often quite lengthy. It's very annoying to have to drag the edit dimension box wider each time and push home or end to see everything.

Issue I'm having is that when placed on a standard lettersize page, the dimensions are too hard to read. I've tried editing the size by double clicking the dimension & editing the font. It doesn't seem to make a difference what font size I enter, the size remains the same. How can I change the text size on isometric dimensions?

2. I also want to know what size a specific image is. I checked help (PS7) and it says if I press alt and right click on the image information (which I assume is the size dimensions shown on the status bar) it will give me the image size; but it only gives me the canvass size. When creating text, changing the size is as easy as editing the text and changing the size. With a dimension, however, that method doesn't work. Is there an easy way to change a dimension's text size without having to make a change in the styles??

I believe the default must be 1.25 larger than the text. I would like it to be 1.00. Is this possible? You can adjust the text background mask size, but not the dimension mask size.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've noticed lately that when I save and load files it sometimes takes a lot longer than it should. When I checked out the file sizes I noticed that their size seemed to be at least a gig (1GB) bigger, sometimes doubling in size. I know it's not layering, images or xrefs or anything like that. I've dealt with this problem before by inserting the patch URL... However it doesn't seem to work anymore; I think it's because I upgraded to Windows 7. I get this error when I try using the patch.
