View 5 RepliesIs there a way to apply develop presets when you synchronize a folder? I want the new images that are synchronized to have a develop preset applied.
View 4 Replies View Relatedsetting up presets for making adjustments to more than one image, I keep hearing about doing that by way of the "quick develop" panel, but I don't like that panel... its a bit too basic or something... I don't like making settings where I can't see a bit more about what I'm doing.
Is there a way to create presets when in the Develope mode? I don't see any clues on the the basic panel, but hopefully I'm missing something. Is there not a way to record the settings I've made inside the basic panel into a preset?
i still have the snapshots, history, and collections tab ut my presets tab is gone how do i get it back
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn both LR1.4 and LR2, the develop presets always showed along the left navigation bar (antique photo, etc.). I don't use them often, but I like to have them handy. A couple months ago they disappeared from LR2 navigation bar and I just downloaded LR3 and the develop presets are in a named folder but I can't figure out how to get them to show up on the left navigation bar again.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to reorganize my develop presets. When I go to the Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Develo Presets/Lightroom Presets, the folder is empty. I know I have them somewhere, because I can see them in the develop module. My user presets are there, but all the defaults are missing. Are they buried within the Lightroom programme? I would love to find them in order to make things neat and tidy and be able to back up/sync with my other catalogues.

I don't use any of the develop presets that ship with Lirhgtroom. How do I delete them? They are only cluttering my panel at this point as I have many of my own. Or, can I consolidate them into one folder? I can't seem to find where LR keeps them; they aren't with my preset folders. Nor are they in Win7>users>appdata>roaming>adobe>lr
I just loaded Lightroom 4 education edition, but can't figure out why I can't see all the presets in the develop module. In fact, while I can see the various categories, I can't see any of the default presets.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a big concern. How can all my develop presets (more than 300 now!) be converted correctly so that the changes that one of them applied to one pic in the 2010 PV are the _same_ changes the same preset applies in the 2012 PV?
I'm not talking of Adobe LR presets (those that are installed by default and that come along with the LR itself) ... I'm quite sure Adobe has made a good job keeping them coherent with those of LR 3.x . I'm talking about of the huge numbers of largely available (on the net) presets .
I'd like to know if they will be converted _CORRECTLY_ with the 2012 PV so that they will work applying the _SAME_ _VISUAL_ changes as they did in LR 3.x .
Of course I'm available to manually edit the old presets, if necessary but how? Logically, there would not need to be a new process version if all they did was put a new UI on the same controls the old process version contained. The new controls set values for new algorithms (fill light apparently the most obvious) that don't work like the old algorithms, and can't produce the same results, but I'm pretty sure that the same visual results are still reachable somehow!
And I still need the old presets working as usually they did as a steady coherent base for my retouch workflow...
I'm finding that my presets are disappearing a few minutes after launching the program. I checked and have installed my presets in the proper folder where it would look for them. I see them when I grab the handle on the left and everything drags up or down. But I begin to two finger drag up and down, the handle on the left stays put and the presets drag up out of sight and a large, blank gap appears below. I've also had it where the presets have disappeared and have had to relaunch LR5 to get them back.

When I run a preset that I made in LR3.6, the develop Basic panel reverts to the LR3 version. Clicking on "Reset" restores the LR4 version, but undoes what the preset was supposed to do, of course.
How can I make my LR3 presets work in LR4?
How to add multiple presets to one image in LR?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm running LR3 and CS5 on a MBP Lion, and I'm working directly with RAW files. I have adjusted the images in LR and used 'edit in photoshop' to correct blemishes on some photos. I want to apply some presets at the end to render a couple of different looks (B/W and Vintage) to the final edited image. However, I find that after the file comes back from PS, it looks good, but the photo gets 'normalized' and the develop module tools get reset to zero. Hence my presets totally blow the 'edited in photoshop' image while it works just fine on the original raw.
I have also tried to work on the original image prior to any LR adjustments. Same thing, after coming back from PS, both stacked files look similar, but at the time of running the preset, the 'edited in photoshop' file gets blown out.I do not have any auto adjust settings turned on. No presets running on import/export. What am I doing wrong?
I am having trouble getting my presets to show up under presets on the left hand side of the screen. They are still in develop presets but there not showing up and Ive tried deleting them and adding them again then closing out of lightroom 4 and going back in but I can not seem to get them to show up again. I must have hit something but there not showing up again
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recenty had to reinstall all my software, and manged to find most of my old Lightroom settings in the Lightroom Presets folder (inside the Appdata folder on a PC) but I seem to have lost my custom tone curves.
Do you know which folder they should be in (indise the Lightroom Presets folder)
I STILL don't understand why there are TWO comminty forums for Lightroom;
The main develop module controls have disappeared from the develop window. How do I recover them? I'm working with Lightroom 5.3. The missing controls are the sliders for exposure, contrast, clarity, etc. I must have inadvertantly clicked something that made them disappear but nothing I've tried brings them back. I've never had this experience in the years I've been using Lightroom (since version 1.1).

View 5 Replies View RelatedAs with any upgrade to Corel over the past decade, they change things on new versions and hide them! I've been using since v1.0 (which instantly became v1.1 upon release).
I JUST installed v X6 and off to my first problem within 10 minutes.
The old menu in X5 used to have a docker called "Graphic and Text" which is no longer available in X6. After some research, it looks like the "apply a style or style set to an object" is the way to go, HOWEVER if I right click on the text as suggested to find the "Object Styles" menu, the sub menu is a blank little rectangle that won't display the menu items.
How to copy a style to a menu and then apply it as well in X6?
I have Lightroom 4 installed but can't get any presets to work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am doing some car park designs with Corridors at the moment.
The method I am using is to create a dummy surface and apply surface profiles to all Baselines and Targets (mostly Offset Alignments). This way if I have to change my levels, I simply amend my dummy surface and everything updates straight away.
This works great, but I recently got a (typically random) Fatal Error. I recovered the Recover drawing which was saved and for some reason all profiles changed to Static and I can't change them back to Dynamic.
I know that if an alignment cant find the surface it will change to Static and I assume that during the fatal error or recover process, something must have triggered for this to happen?
Is there any way (other than resampling all profiles and updating each corridor target individually) of making the profiles dynamic again?

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhat to copy from my home installation of Coreldraw 12 so I can put it on the installation I use at work. I want to save EVERYTHING, hotkeys, default new documents, default and custom palletes, macros, command customizations were I have applied certain hotkeys like ctrl+m or whatever to run those custom made macros/vba scripts, things like snap to grid, snap to object, wether or not to save backups and if so how often, etc... Bascialy ABSOLUTLEY EVERYTHING.
I tried copying CorelDrw.ini, coreldrw.env, and GlobalMacros from my home computer from the folder:
C:Program FilesCorelCorel Graphics 12Draw
and then pasting it into the same folder on my work machine, clicking OK when asked if I want to replace the already existing files there. Some things worked, some things seemed not to. For example, the macros i wrote copied over fine, but the hot key association i made for them didnt, i had to set that up again in Customization.
I would love to find out how I can really back up all my settings so I can simply copy them over to my work machine instead of taking a couple hours to re-enter everything in. Also, I think all serious corel users would want to keep a backup copy handy in case they ever have to re-install corel or if they buy a new computer, etc.
So I just transferred my Lightroom catalog to a new computer. But none of my presets were transferred. Do I have to do that seperately? Also I'm having trouble even getting to my presets on my old computer. I can see them through Lightroom but can't seem to find them again out of Lightroom. Lightroom 4. Mac.
