For example, I often export a folder of full-res images, and then go back and do the same images as lo-res with watermarks, that I export to an "email" folder inside the hi-res folder. That way, I email the little ones for clients to peruse, and then send the full-res after they agree to buy. I know I can set up two presets and do them separately, but thought I'd ask.

When I click on the history panel for this export panel, it brings the photo up in the non cropped version just as I would wish.
I did do an unclick on "embed fast load data" in preferences and then an update dng preview as the fix for the banding problems when viewing dng files in irfanview and picassa and that worked, but hope it did not create my problem described above.
I can't reproduce this consistently; but I've had this happen many times now.
Product - Lightroom 5 on OS/X 10.8.4.
I select two images in the develop module filmstrip to pick the best one for export, the images are usually stacked in the Library.I use the side by side compare tool (C) to compare the images.I may go back to the develop module to adjust setting on one or both images.
At some point I will unselect the image I don't want to export in the filmstrip, then press Command + Shift + E to export.
LR will sometimes export both images even though only one is selected in the filmstrip.
If I go back to the Library before exporting then LR will only export the selected image.
My rig includes Windows 7, Asus P8Z68 Deluxe Gen 3 with i7 2600K, 16GB DDR3 mem, SSD drives, fast Radeon video card.
I'm using Lightroom 4, just upgraded, have this problem: when I export to Folder1> Subfolder 1, it puts the export images in the next up hierarchical folder, i.e. Folder1. I select the folder I want in the Export dialog, and I don't have any subfolders selected or created, but it always sticks the shots in the next folder up the tree, it's happened every time I've exported.

Somehow, all the development settings are correct, but the crop has too much data.
I've run in to a strange problem since the 4.1 upgrade.When displayed in the Library view, images are not appearing correctly. In my case, there is a huge amount more noise in the Library view compared to the Develop view. This is also affecting Exports.

Is it possible that on the first three presets, I could configure them with an export action that will initiate the next preset export?I export with preset one, which has an export action that starts an export of the same files, using preset 2, until preset 4 which will not have an export action.

View 4 Replies View RelatedOpening my tracklog in LR4 Map (on a PC) plots it with a -5 hr offset, evidently UTC time (I'm on Central Daylight), so the images I shot on the outing won't load to the map. The points on the map in LR show the UTC time, whereas the same track opened in Google Maps shows the correct, local times. On October 3, b_gossweiler looked at ImageDesign704's tracklog and responded "I've removed the timezone inidications on the trackpoints and loaded the tracklog successfully into LR." how to get into a .gpx file and remove those timezone indicationst? My tracklog won't open in Windows.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a preset that allows me to export my photo to a subfolder of the original folder. In my case it's simply called jpg export. This allows me to do all my edits when the shot is in it's original "Date taken" folder and all my edited shots from that folder show up in the jpg export folder when I run the preset. My issue is that the jpg shows up in BOTH the original folder and the jpg export folder. I know it's operator error but what's wrong with my settings? Under Export Location I have Export To: Same folder as original photo (this is the reason for my problem but I am not sure what to change it to) Put in Subfolder: is checked and the folder is called jpg export. Add to This Catalog: is also checked.

This convention is oftened required for photo club, local, national & international photo competitions. The only date function I can find is the 'capture date'. Is there a way to modify the Export Filename Template Editor to include 'current system date' ??

She loved the way it looked and wants other pictures to look the same way (tone/cold color, etc). I did not save the history as a preset before I exported it out. How can I get the history back from when I worked on it last week? Is it stored in the pictures data somewhere or do I have to try and recreate the image adjustments??

I created a new page in tumblr and would like to embedd a picture gallery out of Lightroom. There are some nice html presets in Lightroom, but I cant get them into tumblr. I now installed a tumblr plugin (Jeffrey Friedl), but it only let me upload a picture onto my main tumblr page. What I want is to export a HTML gallery preset not on the main page of tumbler but on the "sub" page I have created.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing Lightrooms printmodule with this printer is a big problem for me. Using Cannon Print studio Works, but then you loose a lot of great functionallity in LR print module.
It seems that when I make a preset or set up printer with correct ICC profile the canon printer driver automatically resets to its own default.
It looks like a print driver in the background resets everything i do. Very confusing and Canon support points to adobe.
My setup:
Macpro with OSX 10.9.2 (latest version)
Lightroom 5.3 (creative cloud member, always latest version)
Canon Pixma pro-100 (bought new april 2014)
I have looked several places on internett and it looks that there are a lot people having similar problems.

Export to PCX does not give any options, and exports 24bit color.
Even after changing the image format to indexed, and selecting 1-bit B/W,export to PCX is still
8-bit colour, 300 x 300 dpi, RLE compressed
Any way to accomplish
1-bit colour, 72 x 72 dpi, RLE compressed
Note that another accepted format is monochrome BMP, but this does notseem to work either in GIMP. The only options offered are RGB.
when I export my EPUB, InDesign inserts wrong images into the HTML.
I have a multi-artboard Illustrator file that is placed in the document. Every chapter has an image in front of it, every image is an artboard in the .ai.
When I export to EPUB, some artboards are correctly inserted, while one repeats multiple times in a few chapters completely randomly. It has appear only once, but InDesign inserts it many times.
What are the rules for how elements (specifically, collections and other collection sets) are ordered within a collection set?
I was trying to get a collection to appear at the top of the list of items in a collection set, but it seems to get stuffed below all the other collection sets regardless of the name given to the collection.
Everytime I want to export pictures it exports every second picture as 0kb.
I've tried to export 100 picture at a time, the same problem occurrs. I've tried only exporting 3 pictures nad most likely atleast 2 of them are 0kb. I've tried all different settings to export the picture. Nothing out of the normal. URL....
The only work around I've found is that I open the image with Edit > In photoshop and then resize and save the image from Photoshop. But that's not the optimal workflow when you have more than 3 pictures. Would be nice to know why this problem comes up and how to fix it. This is really taking me back with publishing my work.
I found several posts about the same issue, but they were all talking about Dropbox being the problem. Well, I'm not exporting my pictures to Dropbox. A normal folder on my SSD HDD.
The album suppliers that I use all require book pages to be uploaded as JPGs. Lightroom 4 only lets me use Blurb (which I don't want to use), or export to PDF.
I realize that I can import the PDF into Photoshop and save them as JPGs, but when I do so, it saves the left side of the page spread as a file and the right side as a file. Most ROES programs from album suppliers require that pagespread be uploaded as one image that encompasses both the left and right side of the page spread.
I realize that I can go through and merge two JPGs together to create a pagespread, but doing so is time consuiming and requires that I resave each JPG an extra time, thereby losing quality. good way to get pagespread JPGs out of the lightroom book module? how to get pagespreads out of a PDF that looks at each side of the pagespread as a separate image?
I just received a Asus laptop with Windows 8 for Christmas. I fixed the flickering in CS6 by changing the Preferences and upgraded to Lightroom 4 as was reccomended for Windows 8 to work out the kinks, but I am still having a huge issue with my colors being understaurated. I've tried exporting as sRGB, AdobeRGB, and ProPhoto. The red tones seem to be effected the most. Increasing the saturation and exporting again does not solve my problem.I don't think it's a monitor problem because it looks great in program. Uploading the pictures online do not change the color, so it's not the program Windows uses to open
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm new to the photography world and having a bit of trouble when using Lightroom.I have a new Olympus PEN EPL-5 and Lightroom 4.3 running on Windows7.
When I import RAW (.ORF) files they are dark in general, but when export them as JPG they are brighter, similar to what native JPG from the camera looks like. Then if I "correct" the ORF file in Quick Develop or Develop it becomes too light/bright/over-exposed.
Here on the left is the RAW file import with Develop Settings = "none" and to the right is an export to JPG color space "sRGB".Now if I adjust the RAW (.ORF) file in LR I can get it close to the JPG on the right above, but then when I export it, it becomes way too bright
why the RAW Library image is so far off from the exported JPG image?Obviously this "issue" makes using Lightroom very difficult as I can't tell how changes in LR will really turn out once exported.
After many years of exporting jpegs at 300 ppi my Lightroom suddenly only exports at 72 ppi even though the image resolution is still set to 300 ppi. What could be the problem?

I checked my second computer and it works fine but for some reason my laptop LR4 is not saving the edits to my images. I open the subfolder for LR images and they are untouched.
other than using my second computer! My workflow is set up to edit on Laptop and do bookeeping on my PC.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSince the last update I am having images corrupted (truncated) by lightroom, when I open some files in CS5 i get the message about the file being truncated and then only half the image come up.
If I export the file again from LR it works so it's not the usual card malfunction or import errors, my hard drive is in fully working order and tested with drive sentinal.
I'd like to export images from Lightroom 4 with a watermark. It COULD be text, but I want to rotate the watermark 30 degrees. I can't see a way to do that in the watermark editor in Lightroom...
Alternatively, I created the watermark in Photoshop, put in the text, rotated it, and saved it as a jpeg. I can't get a clear background. It appears jpeg doesn't support that. SO, I saved it as a .png (jpg and png appear to be the only two formats supported for a graphic watermark in Lightroom). It looks FINE, except in Photoshop the text is WHITE, which is what I want in Lightroom, but every time I open the .png file in the watermark editor in Lightroom, it comes in with BLACK text...
How do I get a Lightroom export watermark with the text I want in the font I want, angled the way I want?
