Feb 7, 2014This is the first time I have tried to use this filter, all the other filters, brush, grad & healing, work correctly. When selected the + curser appears but no amount of clicking & dragging will yield any selection.

Aug 1, 2013I've been seeing screenshots all over the place of Lightroom 5 that displays a number of tools under the Radial Filter, including one for moire. That's a big part of why I decided to join Creative Cloud, but in my version of Lightroom 5, there is no such tool.

Jun 29, 2013I am using the trial of LR5. I have made some adjustments with the Radial Filter. When "opening as a smart object in CS5," the radial filter adjustments do NOT show up. Crop does, basic exposure adjustments, but no radial filter.

Jan 8, 2014When I first installed LR5 I was able to copy Radial Filters by holding down the Alt key and moving the filter round. I could copy the filter as much as I wanted. However this action now just moves rather than copies the filter. Using AltGr does it but with reduced effect so pretty useless.

Sep 7, 2013Lighting Filter is not working. When you run the filter the circular ring/point does not appear to adjust the light. It is totally missing. You can adjust the settings but the filter never runs. After attempting to run the filter I tried to go back to my workspace. It would not reset to the default Essential workspace.
The other workspace were OK. I closed and reopened the application and my workspace was restored. I tried running my GPU settings in advanced normal and basic. None of the settings worked.Â

Oct 14, 2013I use Photoshop CS4 every day all day, as of this morning my liquify filter has stopped working and I am pulling my hair out trying to figure out why. I have already checked the obvious; I am working on the correct layer and 'show image' is indeed checked. I have already trashed the preferences and restarted both Photoshop and the computer. I am attaching a screen shot below (just in case I am missing something). The tool itself is working (I can see the brush and move it), it is just not doing anything. Nothing has changed from yesterday, there are no new software updates to install, I just sat down to start work and it wasn't working.Â

I have the latest graphics driver software. I have the latest update for CS6. I have followed various community support recommendations to no avail. In the Advanced Graphics Processor settings (preference, performance) only "Basic" is available and I can't select (grayed out) "Use Graphics Processor to Accelerate computation" and can't select "use OpenCL".

Feb 16, 2008how to make coloring pages from own photos for my son to color. It has worked fine. First I import my picture and create a duplicate layer. Then I go to Filter>Sketch>Photocopy to ajust detail and darkness...and all I have is a white screen...nothing to ajust. WHY is it not working...I have the same problem with some other filters too but not all of them.

You can watch the video, linked below, but the basics are: I do a selection, scale the selection, make a new layer out of the floating selection result. I try to run a RGB Noise filter on the new layer and no preview shows in the filter dialog or it doesn't show correctly. If I anchor the floating selection into the original layer, instead of making a new layer out of it, the preview shows correctly. Is this a bug... or?

Nov 14, 2012I had the lighting effects filter working briefly on CS6 - it stopped. I had getting the driver changed, and it worked again for a couple of weeks. Then there was a problem with windows 7 on the startup - and suddenly something was changed within the computer and the filter no longer works.

Jun 13, 2013I've been using the offset filter for years to create seamless patterns with predictable results - I choose "Wrap around" and when I enter the distance the parts of the image that go off one side show up on the opposite side.Now, with CS6, sometimes it works as expected and sometimes parts of the image go missing when (if) it shows up on the other side. I've discovered that when this happens if I go to Image - reveal all that often times those lost pixels are outside of the viewable canvas. However, sometimes reveal all doesn't show anything new and the pixels have just been lost.I know there are not extra pixels outside the canvas are before I run the filter so I don't understand how this is happening.
I have found is to select all and crop the image between every offset. Sometimes I'm offsetting 20-30 layers in a row (because you can't apply a filter to multiple layers at once, so annoying). Otherwise, if I'm not careful after I've offset everything I go to check the pattern and realize i lost parts of my image.

The 2nd person to reply, Terri Foster, said "maybe the map is buried too deep in your file structure" - she is absoultely right.
I spent 2 days reinstalling Photoshop (CS2) and trying to get the effect I wanted without the displacement filter. My file was buried 8 folders deep and I tend to use square brackets in folder names, too. Once I'd saved the map to the desktop instead,

When I tried to open it a message comes up that says "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." Apr 11, 2009where my hue/saturation filter just quits working. I use that filter religiously so it has to be fixed each time it occurs. I've only had the Adobe CS3 for 3 months and I've had to resolve this 3 times now. Each time this has happend I've had to uninstall the entire CS3 design package and do a complete reinstall which takes almost 4 hours because my download uses the Adobe server. My product download was purchased online so I do not have a disk but rather files that I downloaded from Adobe with product serial numbers. I've used Adobe for years, as far back as Adobe 5, and never had such a problem! I've checked in my preferences and have ample RAM available for the settings. I use Dell inspirion and have 2 GB of RAM total on my system.

Mar 16, 2008I have a problem with my clouds filter in Photoshop (filter>render>clouds). As far as I have understood it, the clouds tool is meant to take the background and foreground color chosen av make "clouds". Or at least that is how I understood it.
My problem is that when I choose, let´s say red and yellow as colors, my clouds will still be black and white. Actually that goes for any colors, my clouds are always black and white.
I really need my cloud filter to finish my school project for friday april, 21.
I´m on a Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard by the way, with Photoshop CS3.
GIMP :: Newsprint Filter Stopped Working
Jan 9, 2012So, yesterday I was trying to halftone an image. Everything was working fine, but I couldn't figure out how to use it the way I wanted to. So I found a tutorial. I read it, figured out what I was doing wrong, went on my way. Everything seemed fine.
Then I went to use my newfound knowledge, and lo and behold, the Newsprint filter stopped working. No matter what I tried, the preview image looked just like the original. And when I tried applying the filter anyway, figuring maybe something was just up with the preview panel, nothing happened. The filter pauses to load when I change something, acting like it's working, but nothing happens. The closest thing I've been able to get was the image completely disappearing when I change a certain setting (switch to luminosity, in case you were wondering). I tried googling my problem, but all that gets me is tutorials and the how-to-use guide.
