When I first installed LR5 I was able to copy Radial Filters by holding down the Alt key and moving the filter round. I could copy the filter as much as I wanted. However this action now just moves rather than copies the filter. Using AltGr does it but with reduced effect so pretty useless.

I've been seeing screenshots all over the place of Lightroom 5 that displays a number of tools under the Radial Filter, including one for moire. That's a big part of why I decided to join Creative Cloud, but in my version of Lightroom 5, there is no such tool.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using the trial of LR5. I have made some adjustments with the Radial Filter. When "opening as a smart object in CS5," the radial filter adjustments do NOT show up. Crop does, basic exposure adjustments, but no radial filter.
Would it show up in CS6? I do not want to go to CC.
encountering a problem with radial filter when sync it to multiple images? I am getting a different dimention and position every time I sync or press previous. For the rest of the settings are remaing the same.

Graduated filter works ok, its center is always inside the workspace.
Suddenly while working on may images in LR5, doing all the usual with Development module I've realised that Radial filter effect is not being exported to CS5; all others ark: healing, spotting, grad filter, and brushes are ok.

Have I accidently changed something or a setting to cause this .
Unable to see the lines of the Graduated filter tool or the outlne and handles of the new Radial filter tool. They were visible when I first installed Lr5 and used them on several photos

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have hardly ever used filters for any of my work as I have preferred using Xara's native tools and effects to get what I wanted. But recently, I was inspired by some animation work which used backgrounds painted in Photoshop. They used a lot of textures which enhanced the look of the animation and so I thought I'd try to simulate it within Xara.
It works very well and I can export it as a PSD retaining the layers and Alpha channel. But here come my questions.
1. How can I remove the two Alien Skin demo plugins as I already have the full versions.
2. Why don't the native Photoshop plugins--Artistic, Sketch, etc.--seem to work?
I imported all my jpgs with keywords into lightroom 5. I'm now thinking I will no longer make a jpg as part of my workflow and just keep the keywords in the raw files. Is there an easy way to copy all keywords from 1234.jpg to 1234.tif (raw file).

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have just got a new computer and re-installed Lightroom on it. I now need to transfer my catalogue and files over.
I already know I need to copy and move them over but I have a question that probably seems very simple/obvious to most.
When I copy my catalogue file, WHERE am i supossed to copy it to on the new computer? In Pictures, Lightroom, there already exists a catalogue but obvioulsy this is not the one I want there. If I move my old catalogue to the same place (along with the other files) there will be 2 catalogues in there. How do I make sure Lightroom reads from the old catalogue I am copying over.
i store all my raw images on a hard drive before importing into lr4. Do I have to let lr copy all the images as part of the import process? I don't see any way to not copy images when importing.
This really slows the import process when using 100's of raw nikon images. can I delete the copies that lr makes I guess that the catalog files are independent of the copy files since I use the location of my original raw files.
How can I put the photos in the Lightroom catalog, so that I can edit them and organize them, without copying all the photos??? I don't really want to have the photos on my hard drive along with another extra copy of the same photo in the LR catalog. When I wanted to import photos my only options were to "move" or "copy" photos. I don't want to do either, i want to be able to "view" and access them, along with editing them?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI currently have two external hard drives where I have all my bird photos classified into folders by the name of the bird. There are more or less a hundred. I have one external hard drive where I import all the photos to and the other external where I backup the first external hard drive every night. They are getting full and I will soon have to purchase two more, but I was wondering how I could export all the folder hierarchy into the new external hard drive. It surely will be a chore to have to create each one again.

View 5 Replies View Relatedsuccessfully imported one of 6 folders from laptop to ext drive. opened catalog in ext drive just fine. all images included metadata, keywords and appropriate collections show up. when i import from ext drive to desktop the images appear without any additional info. cannot figure out what i am doing wrong. initially imported all 6 folders from lap to ext to deskptop. not all images copied, collections were screwed up. everything was screwed up. that's when i decided to just try one ata time. creating new catalog each time. would like to include in existing catalog in desktop. until i can get it right, maybe i should create new catalog in desktop and then merge catalogs.

Along with the image we are required to include the basic EXIF data- camera, lens, ISO, aperture and shutter speed. I have figured out how to create a schedule for each level, but I want to isolate only the Dormitories and the Kitchenette (weed out all the other rooms such as corridor, elevator, storage, toilets, showers, stairs, trash, electrical, etc.).
I tried using seclusion filters, but there are too many items to exclude and cannot fit them all into the 4 filter categories. I am trying to just get the rooms that begin with 'D' and 'K'. I tried providing the variable 'Begins With' for D and in the next line 'Begins With' K, but then nothing shows up.
Is there a way to provide information to the filter that would allow it to show only rooms beginning with D AND K? I cannot seem to get it to work. I have been playing around with separation values within one filter category (i.e. 'Begins With' D, K) but apparently you cannot add multiple variables within one of the filter items.
Nik Filters do not work with LR4. Contacted Nik three times today. At their request, un-installed all filters, then re-installed, to no avail. They then said "some are having success un-installing Elements, then re-installing." Tried it to no avail.

Lightroom 4 - My Nik filters are not in the Edit version of Elements when I want to edit a picture from the Lightroom Bibliotheque with cmd+E, because Ligthtroom use a back up copy of Ellements 11 that is on an extern back up drive (i don't understand how that is possible). My Nik filters are not on that drive but well on my Mac's Hard Disc.How can I tell to Lightroom to use the Mac's Hard Disc version that is in the Dock ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've read a few similiar discussion threads but none match exactly my prob.I have a collection (within a collection set) of items which have mixed photos that are flagged as picked and/or rated as 2 or 3 stars.
Invoking filters while in the collection - either flagged items or items >+ 2* don't work - it's not just flagged or rated items - no filtering seems to work on my collection.
Lots of other unusual behavior in collections that I can't detail right now, but something is defintely wrong.
