LR 5.3 suddenly has stopped showing changes and adjustments and so on in real time. In order to see a change, I have to click on a different thumbnail pic and view that, then back to the one I'm actually working on. I can't get anything done like this, and I can't figure out what I might have done to switch off a live real time view!!
View 8 RepliesI am relatively new to After Effects CC and am using it to create a stop motion film with a large amount of photos.Usually, when importing the individual images into my composition panel, a sequence of editable rectangles appears in the composition panel allowing me to edit the frame length of the still photos.

After around 950 imported images, the little rectangles suddenly stopped showing up. But when looking at a preview of the project, it's as if the photos are in there, in the sequence they should be. I'm just unable to edit them like the previous ones with rectangles showing.

The area of issue is where you see the descending sequence of boxes in the comp panel. The red tracking bar is there to show that there are still photos continuing the sequence.
My lightroom 3 has been working fine for ages and I suddenly cannot export at all, the screen just freezes and I have to go to task manager to shut it down. All of the other features are working 'develop' 'import' etc. Am working on windows.Â

Yesterday Lightroom handled a bunch of files from these cameras and today it gives me a message "The following files were not imported because they could not be read." same answer for both ORF (Olympus raw) and jpeg's. The files will open in Elements. Reformattng cards both CF and SD) uninstalling LR and downloading a new install.
In a book I am working on, the zoom toggle suddenly stops working. It shows up, but moving the slider does not change the image size in the photo cell. I can still move the photo around in the cell, but cannot zoom in or out. I can right click to change to zoom to fill or zoom to fit, but cannot manually zoom in or out from that. Tried changing the default method to Z2Fit and Z2Fill, but neither mode solves the problem. I have been working on this book for a while, and the manual zoom has worked seamlessly up til now, and suddenly it doesn't work. I am hoping I accidentally hit a keyboard toggle to turn it off somehow, and just can't figure out how to get it back.

fwiw the problem cropped up as I started adding photos from another source, which were Nikon-based jpg files whereas all the rest previously added were either digitial scans (jpeg or tiff) or Pentax files (RAW & jpegs). I cannot imagine this has anything to do with the problem, but mentioning it just because its the only thing that was different when the problem cropped up.

I have been using lightroom 3.4 and photoshop CS6 for sometime. However suddenly I cant move images from lightroom to photoshop (Ctrl+E) with the "Edit a copy with lightroom adjustment".

When I click this option, it opens the Photoshop. But doesnt open the image. However the other two options "edit a copy" and "Edit original" works fine.

Also when i add photoshop again as another external editor, it works fine. But as you all are aware this create another copy of the image.

What I did I checked the applications path for photoshop and it was correct. I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled.
I have LR4 and PS CS5. Edited several photos this morning without a problem --But this evening, after editing in LR, clicked command+E to open in Photoshop- as I always do, but didn't get the dialog that gives me the option to edit with LR changes. The files are opening as raw instead of TIFF all of a sudden! I have done nothing different aside from updating the Kubota dashboard.
I deleted the Kubota plug-in since that was the only thing I did out of the ordinary but still no luck. I am deserate to get images edited in LR transferred to PS WITH THE EDITS! Why would it work one minute and not the next?
Just tried to edit in Color Efex from Lightroom and got the dialogue. So...it's only happening with Photoshop. I tried uninstalling Photoshop and reinstalling with updated Camera Raw 6.7 plugin. No luck....

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with LR4 and smart collections which are not showing real results. As an example see the following picture:
The collection is showing 13 results, but on the right LR4 reports that there are no photos in selected smart collection. Similar results I have for several other smart collections, which are either showing some files which are not related to the collection, or they are not showing at all the expected result (which can be found via filter). I was thinking about a possible issue - the results are maybe calculated and require some long time to process, but if I will leave this over the night, then there is no difference (the smart collection above has 2 rules, the amount of photos in catalog are 19k).
LR 3.6, Win 7 ultimate 64 bit. Yes, I am so afraid of all the talk I hear about LR 4 being slow (it DID slowed down from 2 to 3) that I still work in 3.6 It is no longer showing/updating my export presets (see left column). Whether I add folders from the OS or from withing LR, they are not visible. If I select them in FOLDER CHOOSE (see right side of the screen shot), then it will export them properly to the right folder but I have no way to UPDATE FOLDER WITH CURRENT SETTINGS.

I have had PS7.0 installed on my PC for years with no issues - then suddenly today it wouldn't open - Partly loads and then says "Adobe Photoshop has Stopped working" and shows the following error: APPCRASHPhotoshop.exe7.0.0.03caf9b42ntdll.dll I have done a system restore (Vista Home Premium) until well before this issue started and it makes no difference I have uninstalled and re-installed PS7 and it makes no difference I have installed the same PS7 onto a different PC and it works fine (also running Vista HP)

the save option is available but when click it nothing happens and save for web is working i need to do lot of work and i m not able to save psd file.
Some of my actions in CS5 all of a sudden stopped working.  Some work, but the ones I use most frequently are not working at all. I have re-booted my computer, turned it completely off/on, re-installed the actions and the same ones aren't working. The action will run, but the brush will not work. For instance, an action called Flawless Face will run, but doesn't actually do anything when I go to "brush" the face.Â

There are no selected areas to be inside of or outside of. Every time I click, the history adds another line, but there isn't anything done.
This kind of thing drives me nuts. *If* there is a reason for invoking the brush and having it not work, there should be an error message like the one for trying to clone stamp without selecting a source.
I Have used Photoshop forover five years, mainly for web graphics. I was changing a section of a current web site which contained text and needed redesigning. I noticed that the text on the replacement image was not smoothed as the original was despite using exactly the same font. The 'jaggies' were very pronounced. I have trawled the help pages and all the preferences available and can't find away to return the text to 'smoothed'.

Open RAW file, edit, then separately save PSD and JPG in Irfanview (maybe an odd choice but it's familiar and easy to use).

Just recently I've noticed a problem in Irfanview when entering and saving IPTC data, in that suddenly I'm told the file isn't found, when I try to open it the image area is black, and all I can do is delete it. This is possibly unrelated to my PSE 12 problem, however each time the only way to get a usable copy of the JPG is to re-open the PSD in Elements and re-save as a JPG.

Today, in Elements, when I go to Save As (my usual choice) I go through the usual process but when I check on my hard drive the JPG hasn't been saved.
I would like to use AudoCad 3D to do real time pit geology mapping. I have a AudoCad 3D on a tough which is equipped with Bluetooth. I have a Tremble 5800 rover which is also equipped with blue tooth, and I would like to connect the Tremble with AudoCad so I can see my position in real time while I'm mapping with AudoCad.Â

I'm editing the width of strokes during dragging the mouse in small steps. Each mouse drag event means a small adaption of the widths. View 6 Replies View RelatedI've read threads on drawing a tile or something of a certain size, then using the offset filter, but what I'm wondering is - is there anyway to draw within a certain bounding box for the tile, and have that same tile updated and drawn realtime next to the tile you're currently drawing? My project is a 2D platformer game, and say we have a block of grass that's 128x64. I need the left and right borders of this tile to blend so that I can place multiple tiles of this kind next to each other and they'll loop nicely, but it's extremely difficult to draw a tile, and then copy and paste it next to the tile every single time I make any change to the original tile to test and see if it'll blend seamlessly as it loops.
