Yesterday Lightroom handled a bunch of files from these cameras and today it gives me a message "The following files were not imported because they could not be read." same answer for both ORF (Olympus raw) and jpeg's. The files will open in Elements. Reformattng cards both CF and SD) uninstalling LR and downloading a new install.
In middle of an import via a card reader, LR 4.2 stopped importing. dialogue box said could not read the files. Tested cards and cardreaders for two different cameras - same dialogue box comes up. response is there area many bugs in LR 4.2 and Adobe is ignoring. One Adobe spokes person suggested optimizing and restarting. haven't tried it yet.

View 5 Replies View Related i use windows 7 ultimat with 2gb memory and around 300 graphic ram i was using cs from a month and it was working fine. but recently it stopped saving file. whether by commands or going menu option.
the save option is available but when click it nothing happens and save for web is working i need to do lot of work and i m not able to save psd file.
My Photoshop CS4 quit reading CR2 files from my Canon EOS 5D Mark II. Photoshop update with new raw version failed.Â
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy lightroom 3 has been working fine for ages and I suddenly cannot export at all, the screen just freezes and I have to go to task manager to shut it down. All of the other features are working 'develop' 'import' etc. Am working on windows.Â
View 5 Replies View RelatedLR 5.3 suddenly has stopped showing changes and adjustments and so on in real time. In order to see a change, I have to click on a different thumbnail pic and view that, then back to the one I'm actually working on. I can't get anything done like this, and I can't figure out what I might have done to switch off a live real time view!!
View 8 Replies View RelatedIn a book I am working on, the zoom toggle suddenly stops working. It shows up, but moving the slider does not change the image size in the photo cell. I can still move the photo around in the cell, but cannot zoom in or out. I can right click to change to zoom to fill or zoom to fit, but cannot manually zoom in or out from that. Tried changing the default method to Z2Fit and Z2Fill, but neither mode solves the problem. I have been working on this book for a while, and the manual zoom has worked seamlessly up til now, and suddenly it doesn't work. I am hoping I accidentally hit a keyboard toggle to turn it off somehow, and just can't figure out how to get it back.

fwiw the problem cropped up as I started adding photos from another source, which were Nikon-based jpg files whereas all the rest previously added were either digitial scans (jpeg or tiff) or Pentax files (RAW & jpegs). I cannot imagine this has anything to do with the problem, but mentioning it just because its the only thing that was different when the problem cropped up.

I have been using lightroom 3.4 and photoshop CS6 for sometime. However suddenly I cant move images from lightroom to photoshop (Ctrl+E) with the "Edit a copy with lightroom adjustment".

When I click this option, it opens the Photoshop. But doesnt open the image. However the other two options "edit a copy" and "Edit original" works fine.

Also when i add photoshop again as another external editor, it works fine. But as you all are aware this create another copy of the image.

What I did I checked the applications path for photoshop and it was correct. I uninstalled lightroom and reinstalled.
I have LR4 and PS CS5. Edited several photos this morning without a problem --But this evening, after editing in LR, clicked command+E to open in Photoshop- as I always do, but didn't get the dialog that gives me the option to edit with LR changes. The files are opening as raw instead of TIFF all of a sudden! I have done nothing different aside from updating the Kubota dashboard.
I deleted the Kubota plug-in since that was the only thing I did out of the ordinary but still no luck. I am deserate to get images edited in LR transferred to PS WITH THE EDITS! Why would it work one minute and not the next?
Just tried to edit in Color Efex from Lightroom and got the dialogue. So...it's only happening with Photoshop. I tried uninstalling Photoshop and reinstalling with updated Camera Raw 6.7 plugin. No luck....
Suddenly, CorelDraw X4 is not reading all my fonts properly. I can select them from the list in a document, but all I get is a box and no text in it. I am running XP on this machine.

Appears: Error: 16 and the following images. How can I uninstall if I can not launch and deactivate first the product ?
I have had PS7.0 installed on my PC for years with no issues - then suddenly today it wouldn't open - Partly loads and then says "Adobe Photoshop has Stopped working" and shows the following error: APPCRASHPhotoshop.exe7.0.0.03caf9b42ntdll.dll I have done a system restore (Vista Home Premium) until well before this issue started and it makes no difference I have uninstalled and re-installed PS7 and it makes no difference I have installed the same PS7 onto a different PC and it works fine (also running Vista HP)
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am a new Lr user, but have spend several hours experimenting with the product, so I have some familiarity with it. When I plug my card reader in my computer, Lr only sees the NEF files. I know I have both JPG and NEF files on the card, but Lightroom is not seeing the JPG files.Â

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently transferred my RAW images into LR4 and it is not listing them in the "Folders" on the left of the "Libray" screen. Files are in tact on my hard drives, however after import LR4 is not finding them. They are being read and listed on my backup drive however they will not come up on the main hard drive.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSome of my actions in CS5 all of a sudden stopped working.  Some work, but the ones I use most frequently are not working at all. I have re-booted my computer, turned it completely off/on, re-installed the actions and the same ones aren't working. The action will run, but the brush will not work. For instance, an action called Flawless Face will run, but doesn't actually do anything when I go to "brush" the face.Â

View 1 Replies View RelatedAnd I can't use the pattern stamp tool either. Some switch threw itself and I can't paint or type any more. I created a new blank doc and nothing worked there either. There are no selected areas to be inside of or outside of. Every time I click, the history adds another line, but there isn't anything done.
This kind of thing drives me nuts. *If* there is a reason for invoking the brush and having it not work, there should be an error message like the one for trying to clone stamp without selecting a source.
i'm on a windows 7 HP Z820 and premiere pro as well as after effects CC stopped reading pores files from my black magic cinema camera (2.5k), but the audio still works (and all other players on the system are playing the files properly).

- uninstall/reinstall premiere pro CC - didn't work
- uninstall/reinstall apple codec - didn't work
- shot different codecs (cinema.dng/prores/DNxHD) - RAW and DNxHD kept working
- encoded the camera's SSD's HFS+ on windows / oSX journaled on a mac - no difference
I have Adobe Lightroom version 3.5. When importing my RAW/NEF files, lightroom says my "the following files could not be imported because they cannot be read." I use the option "convert files to DNG" upon import.I have a Nikon D5100.

I noticed that the text on the replacement image was not smoothed as the original was despite using exactly the same font. The 'jaggies' were very pronounced. I have trawled the help pages and all the preferences available and can't find away to return the text to 'smoothed'.

My normal workflow is:

Open RAW file, edit, then separately save PSD and JPG in Irfanview (maybe an odd choice but it's familiar and easy to use).

Just recently I've noticed a problem in Irfanview when entering and saving IPTC data, in that suddenly I'm told the file isn't found, when I try to open it the image area is black, and all I can do is delete it. This is possibly unrelated to my PSE 12 problem, however each time the only way to get a usable copy of the JPG is to re-open the PSD in Elements and re-save as a JPG.

Today, in Elements, when I go to Save As (my usual choice) I go through the usual process but when I check on my hard drive the JPG hasn't been saved.
Today when I was exploring the options renaming in library mode in order to keep the development settings my images have. Suddenly, on my hard drive I saw an entire photo folder filled with xmp files!  No xmp files were visible before this and I have checked my catalog settings to make sure that writing to xmp files was not checked.

I don't use separate xmp files - Is there a way to merge the xmp files with their associated photo file? Can I delete them without loosing my develop settings and key words?

I have used Lightroom since v2 and currently on v5.3. Have been upgrading regularly and everything was working perfectly until today.
It was working ok and then LR 3 stop bringing in the images that I sent to PS (CS5) to edit..it does not bring them into my collection.
