I do not have to draw fancy equations just the simple fractions but I need the greek characters to appear.
I'm using CorelDraw 12 to make mathematical drawings. Triangles, circles, tangent lines, perpendicular lines, etc... and that works really fine
But... I'm having a hard time entering mathematical equations, especially when using a lot of fractions and square-root-signs. Is there an "easy" way to do that?
one of my top questions ever about photoshop is where could I found some documentation about the real math equations and algorithms that plays inside blend modes operations?

View 20 Replies View Relateddisplay math equations as in-place vector OLE objects in Coreldraw 12.It looks like the Mathtype OLE in CDR saga is still not resolved, even with the latest Mathytype and Corel X5. The option to insert as a bitmap is not at all convenient - one wishes to be able to edit in-place and have vector scalability.
The work-arounds posted in various forums don't seem to work with complex mathematical symbols, adding fonts to the system doesn't seem to work, WMF/EMF also getting messed up, and so on. As Mathtype works flawlessly e.g. in MS Office and Open Office, the question is what is CDR doing...
I recently tried another program, "Aurora" [URL] , which renders *Latex* equations as vector OLE objects - quite nice (there are a couple of other Latex OLE solutions out there, but this one has the options I need). Free trial version.
Aurora supports both vector and bitmap rendering. Vector rendering works perfectly in all programs I tried, except ... Coreldraw. Choosing vector rendering shows some horrible font substitution. I tried adding the Latex fonts to the Windows system, but the problem seems to prevail (and all the other programs, e.g. Word, OO, work fine without doing this). But maybe it is just my version and system configuration.
For a project, I'm needing the mathematical equations/formulas/matrices of a vector. Vectors are all essentially mathematical... thingies so is there some way that I can get the mathematical calculations that are used to make up a vector object in Illustrator? Or any third party program or script that can pull these formulas for me?

We need to obtain an uniform line (a solid one, without gray variations, same weight, etc)
Autotrace seems the best tools although the results appear a little irregular. What could be the best approach as we have hundreds to process?
Beginning with the scanning (more resolution?) and processing firstly in Photoshop?
I work a lot with Processing to create picture based on mathematical formula, but i need to do the same in Illustrator in order to print those picture.
Is there any way to do this, like the expressions in After Effects, or a third party plugins.
Or did i have to find a way to output good picture from Processing.

Therefore we observe the fish over multiple weeks and take their picture in our studio environment once a week. In order to track the color change of the fish, all other conditions (lighting, distance etc.) should be exactly the same so that we can compare the average color of the fish over multiple weeks.
The problem is as follows. We have created an studio environment with a light tent and three flashes and fixed them to keep the shooting conditions the same every time. However as you can see in the three images below which are shots of the same fish in three different weeks, the lighting is not the same. We think that since we do shoot 30 fish in each batch, the flash did not produce the same performance for every shot and we got different lighting in each shot.
How can we match the lighting of these shots so that we can compare the color of the fish? We already tried the color match tool however it is no use in this case. Since we want to keep the fish as it is and only adjust the slight lighting difference.
I opened a 1024x1024 image in GIMP, and manually broke it up into fully black and fully white sections. I'd like to output a file which is just a simple binary array of 8 bit numbers, such that every black pixel in the image has the value 0, and every white pixel has the value 1. This way, I can open it in my C program and then load the array into memory using the fread function.
I haven't been able to work out how to do this. I need to avoid using any files with metadata in them...And unfortunately, even the ppm format has a handful of characters at the beginning. Is there a way to do this?
1. i received a DWG that has a TIFF image referenced. This 30MB TIFF came in a separate folder (eTransmit) and the path is correct, but i cannot seem to grab the image in model space. the layer that has the xref is not frozen, and i can see the xref in the properties box and unload/load/detach, however i am unable to select or grab it. Was this done intentionally by the author to keep the image intact or is this property of transmitting?
2. The drawing coordinates is appearing in scientific notation and i need them to display all 9 digits. How do i change this?
Using Mathcad, I can create a file with x and y values defining a 2D shape from which I want to create a swept volume.
I want to import these values into Inventor to use as a definition of a sketched line and then use the revolve function to generate the shape.
I am trying to design a barrel cam. This works well with lofting, but I am not so sure about the mathematical accuracy. I am used to making cams like this with 1/4 degrees resolution - much too cumbersome in lofting. Is there a way with "_sweep" to constrain the profile (2d polyline) so that it stays e.g. parallel with the Z-axis?

I have designed a railroad yard that the construction plans require all grading to be to centerline of rail (0.5 feet under the ties) and my profiles are required to be to the top of rail (1.3 feet above the centerline elevation). Since I already have the grading surface done I was hoping there was a way to target my grading surface and add the 1.3 feet to the elevation in the label. Is that passable?
Using the stock 'Elevations and Stations' style I targeted the existing ground for profile 1 and the finished ground for profile 2. Then I tried using the language you enter at the command line to do math in the label (+ 1.3 <[Profile2 Elevation(Uft|P2|RN|AP|Sn|OF)]>) but that only generated a label that read "(+ 1.3 242.00)" instead of the "243.30" that I need for the loading area, for example.

Can equations like this cell equals this cell be used in the Ipart or Iassembly family tables?
This is using Civil 3D 2012 Service Pack 2.1
When a Station Equation is added to an alignment it causes all of the profile views to get messed up. In addition once the EG profile changes the entire FG profile may also need to be changed. See this video I uploaded to Youtube that fully explains and shows the problem: [URL] ........
So, any way to some how lock the profile views start and end stations? Or to some how lock the PVI locations on a a proposed profile to certain stations?
I'm having trouble finding this functionality. Is there a way to type say 3+1 into a parameter, like lengthSegs and it result in 4? Or type 1.2* in something like scale X and have it result in 1.2 times whatever the parameter value was?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to know if there is a way / setting that I can turn of to where can do simple math problems when inputing numbers say for like offsetting a line without having to use AutoLisp.
For example if I was to offset a line I would type in "5.75/2" and get 2.875. I would like to be able to do this without having to type ( / 5.75 2).
Is there a way to do this without having to type all of that.
I am using AutoCad 2014, and at work we design driveline equipment so a lot of the drawings are from a front view to a section view, and for like a round cover that is in the front view it is easy to offset the centerline in the section view by the radius and continue drawing the section view.
Simply adds the two components. But this is only correct if there is no transparency involved.
Once there is transparency involved, it gets more complex. So, what is the math behind the linear dodge blending mode if the top layer has semi-transparent pixels (=alpha less than 1)?
For successive layers, all have different blend modes ... for finding the pixel values seen on screen, we should start with the bottom most layer ... isn't it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a bear of a project where I have to match different fonts w/ different "logos", and being able to highlight the font, and then use the font menu and, maybe, the up/down arrow keys would make my life infinitely easier.
This works in InDesign.. and every other program on Earth... is there ANY way to do this in Illy CS4?
One of the few software that didn't play nice was CS3, so I had to re-install it. Now, many of the fonts won't show up. I'm doing a logo for a client and I need some fonts but fonts from the following- New Peninim, Corsiva Hebrew, Ariel Hebrew and/or Raanana-- don't appear after you engage the Type tool. What shows up in both Photoshop and especially Illustrator is a square box with nothing in it.
columns on line and followed 4 or 5 different "solutions"-- nothing seems to work. I even, against my suspicions, called the Adobe customer service and the best they could offer was to post a question here if my answer was not apparent.
Bearing in mind that I've put fonts in the Adobe folder, reset characters and a few other things since yesterday.
