So image a picture of a red apple with a yellow background. How do I make adobe print out he colour codes of the yellow and red within the image? I know I can manually use the eyedropper tool and then find the colour codes and then manually type it in. However, I was wondering if I can get Adobe to automatically place this code on the image itself. Do I need a special customized plug-in for this?

I uninstalled and reinstalled the whole suite already, deleted the perference files that i could find. and also look at the rasterizing settings they are the same as mine and another user. Any other things I can try? Where are the default rasterize settings stored at?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 4500x2700 450dpi company logo with drop shadow that I'd like split down the middle and make the left half look like a wireframe grid, similar to the way a 3D model might look, and then phase that into the finished half of the logo on the right.
I'm new to Photoshop other than your basic crop, convert, minor touch up stuff, but I'm thinking I need to select all the objects (logo and text), erase all but the outline of each letter/logo, and fill with a grid pattern then modify the colors and somehow fade the two halves together.
Does this sound feasible? I know with an image this large it will take a while to do this pixel by pixel, is there a tool or technique that could help me accomplish the same effect?
This happens to me on every few projects. I have this spline which is the blueprint I am using to model my scene. It was ok initially, and now after like 3 hours of work it takes like 15 seconds to select, and ages to do anything on it. And it's not one of those bad blueprints where architects double all the lines, many copies and intersections, it's a very clean and good blueprint. I tried merging it to a new scene but still the same. The scene so far has only 4 objects.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was at work today and opened a Ps document that someone else had created. I don't know what I did (I'm a relatively new Ps user) and I don't even know how I ended up saving it. The document is floor plans overlaid on a site plan with logos, text. etc. (so, it's too complicated for my limited time and knowledge to be able to re-import the source document and re-format the entire thing). When I first opened the document, all the floor plans looked normal, but now, one no longer has a white background. The black outlines of the rooms are still there, but there's nothing underneath (I see the gray and white checkerboard background between the black outlines). I need to know how to make that area white again. It seems to me like maybe I deleted a layer... maybe... I don't know...? I can't just use the fill tool to fill white into the background space because (a) the entire shape is not closed, so applying a fill to one area fills the entire document and (b) I know that's not the right way to do it... I'm trying to get it back to the way it's supposed to be, not just make it look right because other people from work might still use the electronic file.

I've tried with the original image being 600, 300, and 75 resolution, but each time I try to Live Trace it, Illustrator takes a while, erases the artboard, then tells me that there has been an unknown error (also something about not enough memory, though I'm using a really good, new computer). View 2 Replies View RelatedI am a bit of a newbie to illustrator cs6. I have been using the image trace function so that I can edit my hand drawn pictures. I 'Place' the scan of my drawing and then go to Object>Image Trace>Make and Expand. The problem I have is when I want to join two lines together to close the shape (as below).
I have tried simply dragging the anchor points and reshaping the line so it appeared to be closed, I have tried closing it with the pen tool and I have tried to 'path>join' them but this box comes up.
I want to be able to fill my image traces with colour easily, can this be done?
URL....I have a green vector background in illustrator and then I placed psd image over it and created PDF for press and under Color bitmap images I selected no compression.After viewing image in Acrobat all seems ok, I even checked with picker, but after I send this to printer (xerox in thsi case) I end up with this: Both .psd and .ai are in CMYK color space. For this particular case I could use mask to cover up that transparent space but my original project has shadows which I cannot mask by vector :S.
how to set color profiles or whatever is neccessary to avoid this issue. One thing I was using was, opening PDF in Photoshop and flatening all. Problem is that sometimes I need vector files and cut lines for cutter. Don't want to have bitmap, if I can have a vector? Also when I flaten image I do get same CMYK values in photoshop (with picker) than I have in Illustrator on vector object, but when I print this they don't match at all.
I want to select a specific color from within the image, and change all similar colors within that image to a different color. In other words, after using the Color Picker Tool to select a color from the image, I want to take the selected color (and everything in the image that is equal to or similar in color), and change them all to a different color.
I tried using the Path's Tool to create an outline in the image, and changing colors that way, but it changes all the other colors in the selection I don't want to change. I just want to change all colors in the image/selection that are equal to or similar to the selected color. How do I do this?

Now I've been using Illustrator for years and this is a new problem I've not come across before. Is there something I can do to stop it doing it - maybe there's a setting that has accidentally switched on that converts all to greyscale.
If not then I suppose I'll have to revert to "turning it on and off again"!
Why is a basic feature like creating QR-Codes (can be done by thousands of websites for free) not a standard-feature in Corel X6, a software having the ambition to be the most professional solution for graphic editing? I mean most advertises today contain a QR-Code.
I don't even speak of dynamic codes etc. but just importing a standard static "URL" QR-Code. Can I expect this to be a standard feature in upcoming versions of CorelDraw?
I'm messing around with a project for fun and I'm wondering if any of you guys know a great way to make a realistic bar code/UPC image with the thick and thin, black, vertical lines aligned up horizontally? I tried this approach into creating one, but it just wasn't working for me. Here's the method I tried to use (in case some of you have a similar method).
1) Layer 1, start with a white background (hope I didn't lose anyone with this step ;P).
2) I added a Noise filter with the settings of Monochromatic and Gaussian Blur at 400% on Layer 1.
3) Then, I applied the Motion Blur filter 90 Degrees and had the distance set to 999 pixels.
4) Then, I tried to do some adjusting with Curves to brighten it up because before this point, it was just a black and gray image.
And this is where I came close, but no go. I haven't been able to turn the gray into a solid white and I tried using the Magic Wand tool to just select the gray areas and fill them in with white, but that didn't help cause it was blurry and it wasn't all one shade of gray. Any help or if you know another method is doing this will be helpful. Yah, I could just use the line tool and just create thick and thin vertical lines all the way across, but just wondering if anyone else had a better method.
