I feel like I am going crazy, but for the life of me I cant figure it out. I am on a mac using version 16.0.0 and the "f" key works when I am not using the tool, for its other function, but as soon as I start to draw it wont work. I tried deleting the prefrences and everything.
I have two flips in there, one verticle, one horizontal. For some reason, whenever I tell it to flip, and then select everything in the block, it doesn't flip the other flip's arrow.
Then, when I created the second arrow, and went back to include the first flip in the second flip's Action Selection Set, it doesn't pick it up. Doesn't matter if I do "modify selection set" or "new selection set"... doesn't matter if I select everything within (blue box) or everything that touches (green box).
Yet, when I highlight the icon box, it shows everything is selected.
Can flips not flip other flips?
Additionally, I want the rotation parameter to flip on the horizontal flip (so it stays outside the block), but I can't get that into the selection either.
What am I missing with these selection parameters?
I own a printing business, and just recently purchased Creative Cloud, and started using Illustrator for my custom designs. I need to figure out how to flip or mirror the image, so it's being viewed backwards. This is done for transfer paper printing, so that the letters print right side up, instead of backwards and unreadable. There must be a mirroring function right?
I want to flip the text, like in the image. Are there any posibilities to do so? The text that is down is the mirror of the text that is up. I've tried to mirror the text, that is down, but no result...
I am using Photoshop Elements. I have an image with text. When I flip it horizontally (to make a mirror image) the text changes as if now I am looking at it's back side. It looks very strange.
I was workin on my new Avatar, and was on a layer in which I wanted to rotate the image by 180 degrees. For the life of me I searched through PS:CS's menu and couldn't find a rotate command!
There was ROTATE CANVAS, but that rotated the entire image. I had to end up increasing the window of the document and pressing CTRL + T for a free transform. Is there a:
I've selected the right strip/portion of the running pants.
I now want to select the adjacent strip on the left. I want to keep the left part of the selection, which would be the right edge of the strip on the left. I have no idea how to just save the left part of a selection --
I have an image of a man with his arms out, facing the left. I want to duplicate this image and "flip" it over, so that I have two images of the same gentleman facing eachother. My question really is how to invert or flip the image over so that his arms are facing the right? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated, as I'm sure this is relatively basic [though still beyond my abilities.]
Most videos from smartphones and a lot from point and shoot cameras are taken in vertical format. There doesn't seem to be a way to flip these videos so that they show up the right way.Video flipping is extremely important for video management. I don't want to preview and edit my videos sideways. Is this feature hidden somewhere or is it just not there? Â I am currently using Lightroom 3 for photos and Usher for videos and I was hoping Lightroom 4 could be the single app to manage both.
How to flip the text in my circle using Photo Shop CS6 (cloud version).  I made McDermott as one layer, then photography as another layer. I want Photography to be right side up within the circle, it's upside down as it is now.  Here is a logo I am trying to create for my photography. Once I get the Photography font turned right side up, I will insert a large M in the circle - but 1st things 1st.
With my top Layer selected; In the Edit menu, I hit Transpform > Flip Horizontal... but nothing happens! What could this be? Â (Info: I have 2 layers with people facing to the right. I am trying to flip one of them around so that the charaters are facing into each other)
I have been using photoshop cs4 since its release and yesterday the drop down menus at the top have started loading to the left instead of to the right. I have gone through recommended fixes from this forum and others and cannot fix the problem.  - I reset the program preferences. - Changed the handedness in the Wacom preference file. - My tablet pc input panel was disabled to remove flicks…so I cannot access it. - My trial copy of PhotoshopCC is not experiencing the problem  I am using windows 7 64 bit home
I'm not sure to explain this but I have a "S" shape path with texts on it. The problem was the base of the texts snap to the right side and I want it to snap it to the lelft side of the path. How do I do this in Photoshop CS4?
It was the "Creating Classy Glass Buttons" one. One of the steps says to flip the layer vertically. I can't quite figure out how to do that. It always wants to flip the whole thing.
how to use the drawing tools in Photoshop. I've drawn a simple path, and select it with the Path Selection tool. The problem is when I go to Edit > Transform Path, the Flip Horizontal, Flip Vertical, and Rotate 90/180 options are disabled. I can use the other transform options as well as Free Transform Path without problem. Why am I not able to use features like Flip Horizontal?
I'm having some problems with a python command. I'm working on an image that is 640x640. I'm trying to do a horizontal flip of a layer with this command:
the flip succeeds, but it generates a distortion on the flipped layer. When I try to flip that layer through gimp's interface, it is smooth.
I understood that the input values for the flip function were the layer, x and y of one point of the axis from wich the image will be flipped, and x and y of the end point of that axis. Here is the failure in the flip that I mentioned: URL....
this shouldn't happen or the flip will be useless for what I am trying to do. (the eye with problems is the first one, from left to right).
I've just spent a day creating a set of door families, each with the door opening out. Â I now want to have a variation with the door opening inwards (same frame etc) and if I was doing it with Autocad 2D would do so by having a flip grip and selecting only the frame, door panel, swing etc to flip about a certain centreline. Â This doesn't seem possible in Revit, flipping seems to all or nothing?
I have an object, a non-symmetrical anchor clip, that has four configurations: Left Top, Right Top, Left Bottom, Right Bottom. In the project, I can rotate the clip from the project's Top view, but when I try to rotate it from the Front, I get the message "Can't rotate element into this position." In the family (see attached), I have a Flip Control in place to flip the element right-to-left, but I can't seem to add a top-to-bottom control in an elevation view. To get the project out the door, I created a top and bottom version of the same object, but this seems redundant and makes my scheduling more difficult.  How I can either add another flip control to the family to easily flip the clip (preferably) or rotate the object in the project so that it is upside down?
How do we flip the dimension numbers from one side of the line to another?
My dimension always appears on the left hand side for a vertical line and on the top for horizontal line... Can I make them appear on the bottom or right side?
I'm looking to recreate something similar to what is in this video..The very first 180 flip that happens, except along the vertical than horizontal. best approach to achieve this in After Effects?
I'm just getting to grips with paths. Â I have created a path, which I want to copy, then flip the copy in the vertical axis, then join it onto the original, yeilding a path that is vertically symmetrical. Â I can create the path OK, and I've figured out how to copy it. Â BUT .... when I go to Edit > Transform Path ... the flip vertical and flip horizontal options are greyed out. Â What am I doing wrong? Â I'm using CS4 Extended v11.0.
A few versions back I had what I remember as being an action to mirror and flip an image. I realize this can be done manually or create my own action but it was a great action and produced some really amazing images in no time. Any action or even a plug in that does this?
I am using a Flip Slide HD video camera. After importing the videos into Corel VideoStudio, a video that should be 25 seconds long only plays 12 seconds of the video. The big issue is that the rest of the video is not there. It's almost like someone cut part of the video off. When I play the video on the camera and on my desktop with Quicktime, it plays the entire video. After I import the video, it is cut in half again.
I would like to know if it is possible to get rid of the black box that comes up when using the Flip Album transition? I don't even understand why they have the box appear.
