Jan 18, 2014when i press the command of "" to draw a line if i input 35 the line comes out to 34.925. Before it didn't do that. I'm sure i haven't made changes.

Aug 24, 2012I must have hit a hotkey or something because now when I drag select vector and text and copy paste inside the same document it only pastes unformated text back without any vector.
When I use create outlines on the text it copies fine but if Im just copying everythign together or only the text object I get unformated text back.
Illustrator :: Layers Palette Doesn't Work Properly Anymore?
Feb 26, 2014If I click on an eye symbol the symbol disappears, but not the elements on the screen like you should expect. There's also a weird behavior with the lock symbols. If I lock a layer, I can click the paths anyway. The lock symbols doesn't work anymore. The whole layers palette is useless now. I tried to remove the whole "Adobe Illustrator 17 Settings" folder, but that had no positive effect.

Nov 22, 2013I have an old version of the creative suite that is all right for what I do (information for a charitable organisation for medical research) installed in 2008. For quite a while now every once in a while when I start up I get a screen asking me to register. But since I already am registered Adobe just said to click on later and go on working. But this morning the screen is empty so I can't click anywhere. I've tried restarting and even turning off the computer and trying to restart my day.

CorelDRAW X4 :: Doesn't Recognize One Of Fonts Anymore
Dec 14, 2012When I open previous artwork files, to maintain or update, one of my fonts disappeared. Coreldraw does recognize the font when I open the artwork file, but within the artwork the text in this paticular font is blank. It's called Trajan Pro. All my other softwares recognize it and I can use it, except in Corel. Not sure how to get this fixed, since I never had this problem before.

Jan 11, 2012if the blurring of maps works ok on their system? It behaves very strangely on my system. For example Checker works fine, Noise just blurs with the Blur option, the Blur Offset does not do anything, Gradient and Gradient Ramp only blur the edges and create strange patterns, Smoke and Cellular do not respond at all, neither to the Blur nor the Blur Offset. The renderer or the coordinates source do not seem to change that. Am I missing something, could this be a bug in v2012? I do not recall this behaviour from earlier versions. According to communication center I have all updates installed.

AutoCad :: Loads Image That Doesn't Exist Anymore?
Oct 7, 2013In my drawing, I inserted a raster image file. I converted it into a block so I can modify it and I scaled it like this:

I saved my drawing and I close AutoCAD, but when I open AutoCAD again the image shown on the drawing file is not the same image that I had inserted previously.

The image shown is one that I had inserted before the first one but I had erased it from the file because I had to crop it in photoshop to reinsert it again.
I used the purge command to purge the block, I used the image command and i detached the image.
But the image says "unreferenced" when I do the "image command" even though it has the right location and folder. I don't know what to do anymore.

Jul 7, 2011ACA12 - the mouse wheel doesn't work on many of the dropdowns anymore? Is this an 'improvement' or is there a new variable I need to learn to turn it back on.
Do autodesk have only 12 fonts on their machine? Why is the text style font name drop boxes so tiny? Makes it real time consuming to select a font when you have lots of fonts as I'd imagine most machines have.

Feb 1, 2014I made a typographic poster in Photoshop CS6 Extended (because I'm more familiar with it) and am wanting it to print in the highest quality possible. The size of the poster is 24'' x 36 '' at 300 dpi. I wanted to convert it into a vector so there would be no pixels. I've done this before with posters but none of them had any text and they turned out perfect. ou So my problem is when I did the image trace (high fidelity photo) it didn't turn out well.

The word "LIKE" doesn't look too bad but smaller words like "INSTRUMENTS" are the ones messing up. Is there any way to fix this? This poster took me a long time to make and I would hate to have to start over.

Oct 30, 2012I am using AI to import anatomical tracing data (paths and symbols). The data coordinates are in millimeters. I create an artboard as follows:
The file import code reads the data and then passes the bounds data to the art routine, CreateDataArt, as minv and maxv. As can be seen (abRect) the bounds of the data are 13 mm wide by 14 mm top to bottom. Two paths are then drawn into the artboard as shown here:
Note that the rulers are in millimeter units and that the art board is nowhere the correct size.

Apart from the fact that I believe that this is a pretty strange decision to remove an existing feature… Any workaround for that (apart from installing cs5.5...)?
I need to somehow be able to export my slices to swf. As far as I know, the only option to export slices is via the save for web dialog, but this dialog only offers pixel graphic formats, so now way to use fireworks or what ever to convert them to vector swfs…

Nov 19, 2013I used to save art for printers by using Adobe PDF. Worked great. Now, for some reason all of the art I save under "Adobe PDF" automatically opens in Photoshop. I don't know why or how to fix that. This causes rasterization of my images and it appears the PDF is saved in Photoshop, not Adobe Illustrator. How do I fix this? I don't remember changing anything.

Jun 5, 2013Im starting to look at a problem with 1 particular drawing I am working on, though to be honest i'm not sure where to begin.... It is nearly impossible to do anything to the drawing without having it crashing on me. On another machine it completely crashed the computer, leaving nothing but the blue Screen.... The file is only 3000 KB, has 2 xrefs and nothing much else complicated. There are some blocks in the drawing (about 100), and around 50 layouts.
The crashing doesn't happen at any command in particular, and I don't think it's the Computer as I have been working on other bigger files with more elements and not had anything (other than the usual)
Can there be something in the drawing that I can search for that makes AutoCAD Crash?I can't get it fixed then I'm going to have to redraw from scratch..

AutoCAD 2013 :: Align Command Doesn't Operate
Jun 5, 2012when I attempt to use the ALIGN command (both from the command line and also the ribbon) I receive a response as follows Command: _align "The file geom3d(.lsp/.exe/.arx) was not found in your search path folders. Check the installation of the support files and try again.nil" I checked thru my programs and there is NO geom3d.lsp, exe or arx file. There is in Program files/autocad2013 folder a geom3d.CRX file. I attempted to copy the original geom3d.ARX file from release 12 into the same folder, went to place the folder in the working directory via the options menu but the directory wouldnt load from the Support File Search Path to the Working Support File Search Path so I placed it in the Program files/autocad2013/support directory and loaded this directoryinto both the Support File and WOrking Support directory which loaded but the following response showed "Command: _align Initializing... ARXLOAD failed" How can I get this command to work as it was fine in Autocad 2012 before I upgraded.

Mar 10, 2012I have a 3d drawing file which I manually flattened except the section. The ground plan is at 0 Z axis.
Now I am trying to draw lines on top of it, and I cannot extend my lines. Any solution to this?
Additional question:
I also had some difficulties when I was trying to flatten the 3d model. "Flatten" command did not work. I understand Flatshot did not work because these are not solids. But why Flatten did not work? That was why I had to manually change start and end of z position.
