when I attempt to use the ALIGN command (both from the command line and also the ribbon) I receive a response as follows Command: _align "The file geom3d(.lsp/.exe/.arx) was not found in your search path folders. Check the installation of the support files and try again.nil" I checked thru my programs and there is NO geom3d.lsp, exe or arx file. There is in Program files/autocad2013 folder a geom3d.CRX file. I attempted to copy the original geom3d.ARX file from release 12 into the same folder, went to place the folder in the working directory via the options menu but the directory wouldnt load from the Support File Search Path to the Working Support File Search Path so I placed it in the Program files/autocad2013/support directory and loaded this directoryinto both the Support File and WOrking Support directory which loaded but the following response showed "Command: _align Initializing... ARXLOAD failed" How can I get this command to work as it was fine in Autocad 2012 before I upgraded.
I am using the ALIGN command to overlay two groups of blocks, I'm then using some VBA code to export the coordinates of the blocks to an excel sheet to make comparisons.
The issue I'm having is when I use the ALIGN command the coordinates exported are different to those in the drawing (but only for those moved using the ALIGN command).
I don't get this issue when I use the move, rotate and mirror commands, only ALIGN. What may be causing this?
Why is it that when I click in the command line history field (when docked) and roll the mouse wheel I can't scroll it up or down? There is no visible scroll bar until the cursor is moved to the other side of the window (a long way on the 30" display), and grabbing this will scroll the command history, yet the wheel wont work.
If the command line is undocked and the disclosure triangle is clicked to display the history, the scroll wheel DOES scroll the list.
We have hundreds of macros for inserting blocks into drawings. Many require the user to input values for attributes. The command line in 2013 does not display the user prompt for entering values. ATTREQ is set to 1. ATTDIA is 0. We don't want to display the dialog box, just the prompt. Here is what a macro looks like...
There are two pauses before text orientation for a user to enter information. How do I get the attribute prompts to appear in the command line? Works fine in 2012!
This is happening on all my Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Map 3D, and Civil 3D)(2012 and 2013). . .
I initiate a command (say LINE), I pick my first point to draw the line and nothing happens. I must click it again to get it ot work. It only happens when I'm working fast. For instance: L (for line)right-click (for ENTER)immdediately try to click the first point of the linenothing happens and I must re-pick the firtst point again
or
E (for erase)right-click (for ENTER)immediately try to pick a corner for your boxnothing happens and I must re-create my selection box However, if I go slow it works fine. For instance, after initating the command simply wait about 2 or 3 seconds and then try to click. It all works fine there, but waiting becomes annoying now.
The mouse clicks work fine in all my other software (Excel, MS Word, etc.). I am having another (maybe totally unrealated issue) with my keyboard. While typing, my cursor will magically move somewhere else on the screen. I'm using a laptop and have made sure I'm not touching the touch pad. This may be a completely unrelated issue to the mouse clicks, but I thought I'd inform you just in case the two go hand in had. by the way. . .dynamic mode is disabled, PICKFIRST is set correctly, and I've messed with the 3D Config options.
I am relatively new to Cad and would like to know how to properly use the align command. I have a rotated drawing I'm trying to match up with a drawing that isn't rotated and I need to be exact. I know I can use rotate and mess around for a few minutes to get it done but I know using the align command would save me a lot of time.
Site layout has moved and rotated a little. Have spot elevation labels in my sheet but unable to use align command. Align command is able to be used but only moves labels rather than move and rotate.
1. Perspective view "border"..I wish to disable that yellow border (which I don't know how it appeared).
2. Align objects..I wish to align these two "faces"... the red one to be perfectly placed to the blue one (angle & position). Align option does not succeed.
After installing the VBA Module, I get the message "Unknown command "VBARUN"". I've rebooted, restarted and tried reinstalling the VBA Module to no avail.
I press CTRL+9 to make the Command Line disappear while drawing. When I plot (or when doing a plot preview) , the Command Line appears again by itself. So I always have to turn the Command Line off manually after each plot
The bug still happens;
- if Dynamic Input is turned off or on - if I plot to a real device or in PDF - if the Cammand Line Palette i docked or floating.
This is not an issue in AutoCAD 2012 so I guess it has to do with the new way they programmed the revamped Command Line palette in 2013.
My Align Palette doesn't show anywhere when I check it from the Window dropdown in Illustrator. I restarted the computer and even opened a new document. Still doesn't show.
I just started using the Autocad 2014, and noticed that there are a lot of symbols appearing next to my lines to show that the lines are horizontal and also perpendicular. Is there a way to switch these off? I can cross it out in every corner, but would prefer if it didn't appear to start with.
The second problem I have is when I try to use the align command. The boxes don't align properly, and sometimes the shape is even distorted to a rectangle.
I have attached a couple of print screens to show what I mean. In the second image the boxes rotate rather than align to the new shape.
Im starting to look at a problem with 1 particular drawing I am working on, though to be honest i'm not sure where to begin.... It is nearly impossible to do anything to the drawing without having it crashing on me. On another machine it completely crashed the computer, leaving nothing but the blue Screen.... The file is only 3000 KB, has 2 xrefs and nothing much else complicated. There are some blocks in the drawing (about 100), and around 50 layouts.
The crashing doesn't happen at any command in particular, and I don't think it's the Computer as I have been working on other bigger files with more elements and not had anything (other than the usual)
Can there be something in the drawing that I can search for that makes AutoCAD Crash?I can't get it fixed then I'm going to have to redraw from scratch..
I need to Veto ETRANSMIT in some cases, I stripped down my code to a msgbox that will ask if i want to Veto Or not
Imports Autodesk.AutoCAD.RuntimeImports Autodesk.AutoCAD.ApplicationServices<Assembly: ExtensionApplication(GetType(GHATransmit.Initialization))> Namespace GHATransmit Public Class Initialization Implements IExtensionApplication Public KillCommand As Boolean = False Public Sub Initialize() Implements Autodesk.AutoCAD.Runtime.IExtensionApplication.Initialize Dim dm As DocumentCollection = Application.DocumentManager Dim doc As Document = dm.MdiActiveDocument AddHandler [code]....
Even if the e.veto has been sent to AutoCAD the ETRANSMIT command still continues.
I have a 3d drawing file which I manually flattened except the section. The ground plan is at 0 Z axis.
Now I am trying to draw lines on top of it, and I cannot extend my lines. Any solution to this?
Additional question:
I also had some difficulties when I was trying to flatten the 3d model. "Flatten" command did not work. I understand Flatshot did not work because these are not solids. But why Flatten did not work? That was why I had to manually change start and end of z position.
the user is running C3D. He can only open a drawing if its in the previously open files list or he can open with Explorer. If he clicks the open toolbar or selects open from the menu or even types it at the command prompt, nothing happens. It seems to be trying to do something because the command prompt doesn't come back unless he escapes. If he instead hits enter, he gets a message that says it can't find the file specified - even though he never got a chance to specify anything. It's not FILEDIA and he has rebooted. It's also not hiding the open dialog box behind the acad screen.
i have problem with vba sendcommand method, which i use to send publish command. vba code doesn't wait to finish this command, but continues. i need to wait for finish publishing and then continue.
I have some mulitleaders in paperspace that lost their associativity with objects in model space. _dimreassociate will work with to reattach a leader arrowhead to a model object but the command doesn't work with multileaders. Is there another way to do this or do I have to redraw the multileaders?
previously i was using civil 3d 2010, now while i am using 2012. i want to create a grid of points with easting and northing. i have manually created a point but when i use array command it does not work properly. as u can see in this image.
i created point with proper values of easing and northing but after array easing northing values becomes just -19.
In AutoCAD 2011 in mapclassic mode I removed some buttons that I don't use from the Modify toolbar and now the copy command doesn't work. I can't even type in the command line.
As said before... I don't call the _ARC command... but for the arc Command the right click menu is not shown also...What can I do, to get the normal behavior of the right click?
The pre-loaded double click options in the CUI were getting really annoying, so I deleted all the double click attributes (while in the CUI tree) to have a clean slate to work with, but now I can't figure out how to add DDATTE to work on a double click.
I followed the Help guide and got all the way until it told me to "drag the command you want to add the double click action in the Customizations In <file name> pane", but I cannot find the DDATTE command in the Command List.
