I´m working with LR 4.3 for 3 month but since days the "correction" brush doesn´t work anymore. The overlay button is still active and the system reboot I tried more than once ;-). I miss this function and maybe one of you is able to prevent me from reinstalling.
View 2 RepliesA couple of days ago, The exact same thing started happening with LR3.6. I was hoping updating would do the trick but the exact same thing takes place. With an adjustment brush, when clicking on the image, it, the image, disappears as soon as I click on it. Same thing with gradient filter, the image disappears when I start dragging. Switching to the Library Module, my image is still there. For my image to reappear I have to select another image and go back to my initial image. Even then, I am still "holding" my brush even though my "Tools Strip" is not open. To get rid of the brush, I have to select it AND deselect it for it to disappear.Only then I can do further editing on that particular file that does not involve brush and/or gradient filter. Everything else seems to be working properly. This never happened until 3 days ago and I did not download any new program.

As a pro, I crop all my photos.I normally use the forward arrow to move through each image, but with the crop tool the forward arrow doesn't work for advancing to the next frame.It only adjusts the crop.This is extremely frustrating for me as it slows down my workflow.
Is there a one key shortcut, within the Crop Tool -- that permits us to move forward from frame to frame?I wish the forward key worked for this within the crop tool!
Is there an easy answer or a way to format something in Lightroom -- so I can have a one-key method to advance frames within the Crop tool?
So why in the world would I update Lightroom in the middle of a job.?
Before I was able to do in and touch up shadowy areas using (K) adjustment brush, but now it doesn;t seem to work. The radial brush does a good job for a defined area but for SPOT touching I have always used the the adjustment brush?
Is there a setting or am I missing something or is this a bug?

For quite a while now every once in a while when I start up I get a screen asking me to register. But since I already am registered Adobe just said to click on later and go on working. But this morning the screen is empty so I can't click anywhere. I've tried restarting and even turning off the computer and trying to restart my day.

View 2 Replies View Relatedif the blurring of maps works ok on their system? It behaves very strangely on my system. For example Checker works fine, Noise just blurs with the Blur option, the Blur Offset does not do anything, Gradient and Gradient Ramp only blur the edges and create strange patterns, Smoke and Cellular do not respond at all, neither to the Blur nor the Blur Offset. The renderer or the coordinates source do not seem to change that. Am I missing something, could this be a bug in v2012? I do not recall this behaviour from earlier versions. According to communication center I have all updates installed.

I must have hit a hotkey or something because now when I drag select vector and text and copy paste inside the same document it only pastes unformated text back without any vector.
When I use create outlines on the text it copies fine but if Im just copying everythign together or only the text object I get unformated text back.
If I click on an eye symbol the symbol disappears, but not the elements on the screen like you should expect. There's also a weird behavior with the lock symbols. If I lock a layer, I can click the paths anyway. The lock symbols doesn't work anymore. The whole layers palette is useless now. I tried to remove the whole "Adobe Illustrator 17 Settings" folder, but that had no positive effect.

Do autodesk have only 12 fonts on their machine? Why is the text style font name drop boxes so tiny? Makes it real time consuming to select a font when you have lots of fonts as I'd imagine most machines have.

I type in the command ( I'm an old school typer, hate the buttons ) BLOCK....then the next thing that happens is (after hitting enter of course), my crosshairs instantly turn into the Windows arrow.

I work with lightroom 4.1. When I import my pictures on the normal way. The import will nog finish anymore. After a long time my mac give a notice that he can/copy import the images. but there is a lot of space.

I am in the Develop module trying to use the Adjustment Brush. After selecting the brush I am not seeing the window below that allows me to apply the corrections (exposure, contrast, etc.) I want. This window does show up if I select Graduated or Radial filters.
I am using LR5 with Windows 7 and have ensured that there are no LR updates avaialble. I have the latest version.
Try to navigate into a NFS drive inside the import dialog. It does not work anymore.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently subscribed to the Creative Cloud and installed both Photoshop and Lightroom.
After working with the new LR5 for the first few days I noticed that when I am within the Lens Correction and I click 'Manual' in order to manually correct perspective you always get a grid overlay that shows up when you hover over the different Transform options (Distortion, vertical, horizontal, etc...) and it no longer shows the overlay.
In order for me to correct the perspective I have to manually click Option+Comand+O in order to get the grid, which is a little bit annoying since it was automatic before.
Cannot view red overlay when using Adjustment brush.

View 16 Replies View RelatedSetting the size of a brush to be controlled by "Pen Tilt" (in the "Shape Dynamics" section of the "Brush" window) acts just as if "Pen Pressure" control had been selected.
This behavior can even be reproduced by using the controls in the "Brush Pose" section: overriding the "Tilt X" and "Tilt Y" values has no effect on the size (in a brush where "Pen Tilt" has been set to control size, and with "Tilt Scale" 0), but overriding the "Pressure" value does affect the size.
I'm using Photoshop CC (version 14.0 x64 with the latest updates) in Windows 7 x64, and it's worth noting that the "Always use Pressure for Size", "Always use Pressure for Opacity", and "Enable airbrush" buttons in the toolbar are off, and "Tilt Scale" is set to 0 (since "Tilt Scale" by itsef works according to the documentation). I Also use a Wacom Intuos 3, with driver 6.3.5-3, and pen tilt works great for changing brush opacity or angle. I've seen the very same problem when trying older versions of photoshop (CS5 and CS6).

I'm using win 7 with LR 4.1 RC 2, but this issue goes back to LR 3.6 (my first) for me.
I don't get a clean erase of an adjustment brush overlay by passing over it with the brush in "erase" mode. Even after 5-10 passes some small isolated spots continue to show the red overlay marker. Clicking the brush repeatedly while centered right over a stubborn red spot does not remove it.
I paint with a mouse, and typically use a feathered brush. The flow and density are always set to 100.
This is more of a nuisance than problem, since the remaing areas are very small, and I haven't noticed problems in the final image. Still, it should not work that way. I never see this when erasing in Photoshop.
Lets say you use the adjustment brush and highlight only the subject of the photo to brighten it up and make adjustments. Then the next photo you have is almost identical, except it is framed a little differently. So, when you sync the settings from the previous photo to this new photo (including the brush adjustments), the overlay mask will mimic the previous photo and will not line up with the subject in the new photo. Thus, my question is, is it possible to move the overlay mask in the new photo after the sync so that it can match precisely over the subject?
