View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble exporting a graphic in high-res format. The artwork I created is 2 inches by 2 inches in Illustrator, which is the size it will be when printed. When I export the file, I choose png and select '300 ppi,' leave anti-aliasing as 'none,' and use a transparent background. However, when I import the graphic into other applications (word, etc) the graphic is blurry and, in no way, high-res. I've tried exporting it as a PDF and get (from what I can tell with the naked eye) the same output. It might also be worth noting that I get a blurry output even inporting the .ai file, too. I've checked the Illustrator document resolution and it is set to maximum (300).

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have taken 500 photos (in highest resolution, JPG, each ~5 MBytes) and want to crop them individually. With fewer ones I opened eg 30 at once, made my changes (eg cropping) and exported/saved these images via an action. But this method -- esp. opening the files -- took some time even on a "faster" computer, 16 GB RAM.Now the idea (or wish ):
1st step: decrease the dimensions of the images (maybe 840 x 540)
2nd: opening eg 60 at once (much faster...)
3rd: editing/cropping picture by picture
and in the last step: let PS do these changes on the original / high resolution images automatically..Are there plugins or other methods (or programs) for doing this?
Few years ago I tried programs like URL.....But the handling for selecting the area to be cropped was not very comfortable as it is in PS

the default setting is 1920 - far too low for me
ok it can be supressed on a session basis, but the number of clicks to acheive anything keeps creeping up and I'd rather not see it at all - AFAIK there is no way to suppress it permanently, but the default setting can be increased in the registry
I have my setting at 8000
the registry key is 'ImportSize' in Options > Filters [ verified in designer pro X]
changing registry settings is only for those who know what they are doing and who backup first
I recently bought a Nikon D7100. I took some test shots and imported the images to Lightroom 4.4, then generated 1:1 previews for all the images.
Previews zoomed to 1:1 in Library Mode are noticeably soft. The image below is a screen shot of the Library preview:
Moving to Develop View produces a higher-resolution 1:1 preview. The image below is a screen shot of the Develop preview:
Look at the bricks and window screens to see the difference.
This difference occurs immediately after import (with a User Preset applied during import). Once any Develop work is done, the Library preview updates and displays at full resolution.
This problem makes doing initial editing/selection of images time consuming, because I can't determine the sharpness/quality of imported images until I've done some kind of Develop adjustment on each image.
if its possible to export a PAL image of the 16:9 pixel aspect ratio in Photoshop, (thats non square pixels) as i need to use a still image in an animation for a film, but need the image in the PAL 16:9 format. This should result in a stretched image, which becomes compressed when it is squashed down for the widescreen format.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a vector image in CorelDRAW X6 which i recently purchased. If i export the image as a JPEG or png at the original size the file is fine in the export preview screen. If i reduce the size of the image and than go to export it, the image is very poor, even tho it is still a vector format and haven't exported it.
I never had this issue in X5 and it seems that X6 doesn't hold the resolution when i resize it.
When exporting files from lightroom 4 how do I know what the resolution is if the file has been resized in another program? For example I edited (cropped and changed ppi) in Photoship Elements. Returned to Lightroom 4 and began to export to another location on my hard disk and discovered I couldn't find the resolution (ppi) I had used in PSE. Why doesn't Lightroom have the file properties listed and especially the ppi. I want tis file at specific resolution for a specific size. Why can't I get to Adobe Support?

View 4 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to change the resolution when exporting a photo to Facebook using either the regular plugin or Jeffrey Friedl's plugin? I can't seem to do it; I only have control over the image dimensions, not the resolution and the dimensions, as you can see in the screen shots below:
I have control over both when I export to my hard drive (or a flash drive, etc.), as you can see below:
I can't find the option to control the resolution when I try to export to Facebook. Before I got Lightroom 4, I would create whole new low-resolution files of images I wanted to post online using Photoshop. The image size settings I would use are a longest edge of 10 inches at 72ppi, and I would like to continue doing this. If I can only set the longest side to 720 pixels (I can't even seem to set the longest edge to an inches value - I can only choose a pixels value) and not change the resolution from 300ppi to 72ppi, then my photos' longest edge will only be less than 3 inches long (right?). Thus, I really want to be able to upload low-resolution photos to Facebook via Lightroom with the ability to change both the resolution and the image dimensions. How to do it without having to export to my hard drive first?
Been a CorelDraw user for a long time. Just installed x6 (previous X4), and tried to export an image to jpg. X6 seems to have this dialog box with all these presets. How do I manually set my resolution, pixels, etc. as in the previous versions?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having a repeating issue and I can't seem to find a proper answer on how to fix it. When I'm saving out a file in AI, all the objects that I want to show are at 100% opacity and it looks right. When I save out a PDF (High Quality Print - Don't keep editing capabilities) the object is repeatedly somewhat transparent.
Top image is the AI file and the bottom is what the PDF turns out. Lower quality with the PDF image since it's blown up so much.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIn AI CS6 can you change your XY Ruler origin to automatically start in the lower left of your document?
I am coming from AI CS4. In AI CS4 when you would open or creat a new document, your X Y origin would alway start on the lower left hand side.
Now when you open a new document in CS 6 the origin starts in the uper right. If I hand drag the ruler down to the lower left, the Y coordinant reads as a negative number.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've encountered a problem when using simple gradients in Illustrator CS6 v v16.0 on the Creative Cloud. My gradients are not smooth, you can see vertical/horizontal delineations in color when in linear mode, and circular delineations when in radial mode. This seemed strange to me since this is vector based. The attached picture is an example of this problem, it's 18x24 at 300dpi. It also persists when I export/save the image. This problem is also present in Photoshop.
