I just started using illustrator CC and realize that when I clcik Transform tool button, the program crashes. It shappens even if no document is open.
I am using a mac with OS 10.7.
Recently Photoshop CS6 crashes when I attempt to use the Free Transform Tool through the shortcut (Ctrl+T).
It also crashes very often when using any of the free transform/transform tools via the menu as well, though not as often as the previous listed situation.
I just installed CS6 last night on my laptop and I was super excited to use it..As I was about to edit a picture, I pressed the Ctrl+T... next thing you know, photoshop cs6 just crashes. My OS is Windows 8, photoshop cs6 64-bit, it's the latest version too!.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but suddenly my Type Tool can not select type by double clicking or click and drag any more.
I'm using Illustrator CS4 (14.0.0) on a MacPro with OSX 10.6.8.
Every time I open illustrator and click on the pen icon, open a document, etc etc it crashes. I am using a Mac computer OS X version 10.9. I only have downloaded fonts from dafont.com on this computer. Nothing else has been installed or downloaded. I have tried opening the program while holding CMD/OPT/SHIFT,uninstalling illustrator and redownloading but it still does not work. Below is the error message I get:

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using a MAC OS version 10.6.8 and ESTK 3.6. When I open ESTK the font is very small and I want to make it larger. I go to ExtendScript ToolKit>Preferences when I click Fonts and Colors the program crashes and sends an error report to Apple.
I would like to script Illustrator with .jsx instead of AppleScript because I am more familiar with JavaScript (plus it's cross platform compatible).
I just installed Illustrator CS6 trial. I have been on Illustrator 9 for years. I am used to clicking on the type tool, then clicking on the artboard and typing a single word. I am not using actual text boxes. When I do that in CS6 I cannot get a bounding box to show me how to resize it using the transform tool (arrow tool). I've gone to view>show bounding box, but it does not do anything.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUsing transform tool to rotate, often gradients do not rotate. In the example below only the "w" gradient did. Good news is the rotate tool works fine.
Appears this has something to do with compound paths, as this normally does not happen on a new single path. Releasing the compound also rotates the gradient unexpectedly.
This morning, my Selection Tool (the filled-in arrow) is acting like a Direct Selection Tool (the hollow arrow), but only when I click and drag on a group. It ends up select the anchors within the group rather than the whole group itself.
I've checked my preferences, quit and relaunched Illustrator a few times, and nothing seems to fix it. The problem briefly went away a few minutes ago, but came back when I quit and relaunched for good measure.
It's happening in Illustrator CS 5.1. I have CS6, and that version works fine, but I'm waiting on some plugins to be updated for it, so I'd like to use CS 5.1. I'm also running the latest Suitcase Fusion 4.

It is possible to do the same using Xara designer pro 5 in three clics ?I think that Xara designer pro 5 is more powerfull than Illustrator, but I don't know how to do the same in three clic.
The problem I am having is that every single file I open looks like this. Once I click transform (which I have to) the layer no longer allows me to click and edit the layer. I like to re-size my images in relation to the multiple images I place on a document. My previous version of photoshop did not create a transform box with each new file. How can I adjust photoshop so that it doesn't do this. I am using CS5 on a PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been working on several files for some package design. Every time I try to replace some text that happens to be sitting over a linked photo, illustrator freezes up and crashes. Every single time without fail, it fails.
I tried to move the same piece of text off the artboard, modify it, and move it back, but it crashed even while off the board (and not on top of an image).
I'm running Windows 7, up to date on all software (windows & adobe included). Using Illustrator cs6, 64bit. I'm running on a new machine as well - though I was having this issue on another computer as well.
Just recently upgraded from Photoshop CS5.5 64bit to Photoshop CS6 64 bit. Crashes when using burn tool, crop tool, or dodge tool?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Type Tool does not select type by double clicking or click and drag. (Windows CS 5 V15.1). This is what I have tried so far and the problem still exists.
Check preferences for "Text": "Select text-object by path only" should be off. Checked. It was off. Didn't fix it.
Check the toggle for Show/Hide Edges in the View menu. Cmd(Ctrl)-H. Checked. Edges Showing. Didn't fix it.
Trashed my Prefeerences. Didn't fix it.
I'm a fairly experienced user and have bought a template from one of the Royalty Free sites.However, as in the title, AE (CS5 and a CC trial) both crash when I go near some of the compositions. I say 'some' becasue it only seems to be a few that are problematic.I've downloaded the zip again and tried all sorts like renaming the project, emptying the cache, using the Collect Files option to try a new project and downloaded a CC trial but all the same.

I tried a power cycling of computer, reconnect files, repair catalog, uninstall/reinstall, deleting and reimporting the files, and no results. The .MOV files were taken on different cameras with different audio and video codecs. They all play on QuickTime Movie viewer, and can be imported into PRE8. MP4, .WMV, .AVI and .MPG all play fine. I use a PC with Windows Vista 32 bit, an Intel dual core 2.2 GHz processor, and 3Gb RAM.

Laptop is a Dell XPS with plenty of free HDD and 8GB RAM.

All software was legally purchased through a registered Adobe dealer but Adobe won't assist me as they've shipped CS6.

I downloaded a trial copy of the Corel VideoStudio Pro X5 Ultra. Every time I click on the Create Video File button the program crashes. I get a message that the program must exit. Every time I try this, it crashes.

trying to make CLASSY GLASS BUTTONS. I am stuck at STEP 7 because I can't find the menu/tool "Transform>Scale tool". I have PS 7.0 on my PC.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhat is happening is whenever I use any transform tool in Photoshop it will freeze, the window won't go white like frozen windows normally do in W7 but it'll just sit there being completely unresponsive to clicks. The only way to quit is to go into the task manager. The other notable thing is whenever this happens I can't just restart Photoshop, I have to restart Windows completely! it even screws over other Adobe software, Dreamweaver won't work either once this error has occured.
Not only that but OpenGL never works anymore either, I can use Photoshop for like thirty minutes before OpenGL stops working. This one's obviously less intrusive but I still enjoy having the OpenGL features on.
The only other symptom I can think of is that once the issues start happening (or just before they're about to happen) the cursor will dart very quickly all over the screen. The actual clicks themselves will still happen in the right location but the visual cursor itself will constantly be moving, like half of the time it'll be in its right spot, the other half it'll be in a random position. I've tried unplugging both the tablet and the keyboard/mouse reciever but it still darts everywhere.
Everything else on the computer works fine, it's just Adobe software playing up.
I have tried:
- Adjusting performance options thoroughly
- Disabling graphic card features
- Reinstalling CS6
- Switching to 32 bit CS6
- Reverting back to CS5/CS3 (it still happens on those ones too)
- Trying four different versions of video drivers (320.18, 314.22, 310.70, 306.23)
- Reinstalling Windows 7

Is there a function, script or way to use the type-in transform tool in the unwrap edit window? I know there was a script (Unwrap Tools 1.6) a few years ago I used with 2009 but you had to overwrite max's default unwrap edit window, and I don't want to do that. I'm using 2012 design now

View 5 Replies View RelatedAt some point, several months ago, my sister and I were playing with transform (by phone, we are in different states) -- she had taken a Photoshop class and wanted to try to duplicate something.
I tried using my type tool yesterday, and couldn't see anything when I typed. (White background, black text, Arial, 14 pt, 100%). I've tried clearing type presets. I finally tried blowing it up to 500% and saw a small, gray font-like image where I was typing.
I held down Ctrl and played with the transform box: if I expanded the box, my text is there. I've tried clicking on everything at the top when in transform. How to get my type tool entering text in the regular way.
I'm animating a picture, have the limbs on different layers, so I can just simply use the free transform tool to rotate them into the good position.
Although it's a pain to always reset the pivot point from the center. Is there a way to make Photoshop remember where I want the pivot point to be?
