how to install the UFRAW plugin for the Mac native version of GIMP (2.8.2).
I have searched, but everything I find says that UFRAW is included with Mac builds of GIMP. This seems to be true for versions that run under X11, but not for the native build.
When I upgraded to 2.8, UFRaw didn't come along for the ride.
I tried installing UFRaw into the GIMP2.8 folder, but I get an error message saying "The program can't start because libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
I recently switched to an IMAC and am having nothing but problems using the gimp/UFRAW system! I take a photo that looks great in UFRAW and send to GIMP and the color is totally off! VERY red almost neon and saturated!
I'm using the UFRaw plugin to GIMP for importing RAW images. However, if I do any adjustments for a particular image, UFRaw will save that as default when I import the image to GIMP.
I've got a script for processing a bunch of files which starts by bringing up ufraw. I would like to have ufraw save the list of modifications made before returning to gimp. (.ufraw file)
However, when gimp starts ufraw, it passes some option to ufraw whichcauses ufraw to not display the save tab which allows setting what to save.
Is there a way to tell gimp to bring up ufraw differently, or is the problem in ufraw?
I thought that Media Encoder took forever to export my stuff... then I realized it had continued way beyond the actual size of the composition (as determined by the bar in Ae), and continued for the full duration which was much longer than that bar. Since trying to tell it to use only the bar in Media Encoder is a huge chore, can I somehow easily "cut to the bar" in Ae with a couple of clicks or so?
In order to make the composition LONGER, you apparently *must* edit the compo settings and manually enter a value. However, I'm hoping there is an easy way to cut it down to only the length it actually turns out to be when you are done. It would solve this problem and also make it more pleasant to navigate.

When I try to import the sketchup file into max i get the error "X32 reader terminated unexpected" I have tried importing to 3ds max design 2013 and 2014 and used different sketchup versions and also files as simple as a box. everytime i get the same error.
I saw a discussion similar to this in AutoCAD Maps 3D but it did nto apply to this specific problem. I am working in AutoCAD Architecture 2010.
When I erase a line in my drawing, it selects all lines in my drawing (4194 selected) and then says "scan terminated by control-c." Unless I undo this command it does not allow me to click anything in the drawing.
I'm trying to click on a polyline and change the shape of it by dragging it's corners around. So when I do that, and hit escape to exit the "stretch" command, it undos what I did and I get a "Scan Terminated by Control-C" error.
I've tried auditing (0 errors) and saving, closing the drawing and reopening it. Still does the same thing.
Our team is doing program customization in Inventor 2011 that extract drawings based on 3D model. When the program runs and reached the line that has either open, close and save method, Inventor program automatically terminated and “Inventor Send Error Report” appears. When we tried to debug the program and when it reached the line that has either open, close, and save method, we force to exit our customized program but the same case, when it is totally terminated, Inventor program also terminated and “Inventor Send Error Report” appears. When we investigate the problem, we tried several solutions such as setting the active document to new variable, added a method to pause the program for few seconds, etc but still no effect. Our machine is using: Windows XP Pro x64 SP2 Intel Xeon(R), 6 GB RAM Is there a VBA for Inventor that is intended for 64 bit machine? Because I think we use 32 bit VBA in Inventor. What does “Inventor32bitHost.exe” means in task manager? Is there any relation to Inventor VBA?
I downloaded Gimp 2.8.2, the "native" version for use on my MacBook, OS X 10.6.8, and no luck. It will not open. I have trashed it and re-downloaded, restarted, etc. No good.
I have tried downloaded it from both [URL] .......
Each time I try to open it, it gets to finding fonts and then "unexpectedly closes."
i have just installed GIMP 2.8 on to my computer running UBUNTU 12.04, everything seemed to go ok with it opening up, but when i tried to select a tool, the tool icons go through the motions of selection, but non of the tools will work.
it isn't possible to install 2.8 alongside 2.6 in Windows (7 x64 in my case) at least using the pre-built windows installer?
The installer for GIMP 2.8.0 will uninstall older versions first, but youcan simply reinstall GIMP 2.6.12 afterwards.
Reason for asking is that there are a number of 2.6 plug-ins I need, and looking at the GIMP plug-in repository few indicate 2.8 compatibility. So I would need to test them myself but if they don't work I would go back to 2.6, at least for some tasks.
Old plugins should keep working - if you find any that don't, report thatas a bug (this includes 32bit plugins running on 64bit GIMP).
It seems I got all the results I expected all the way and all seems right as far as I can tell.I uninstalled Gimp (and lost the User Manual Guide in the process and can't find it again), reinstalled Gimp2.8, followed all the steps described and ended up with:
Gimp2.8 in "All Programmes". It opens but Resynthesizer is not there.I go to New User/Downloads/.gimp2.8/plugins and the three files I downloaded as instructed are there - Heal Selection.py, a python file, resynthesizer and resynthesizer-gui, both executable files. (Other instructions say to put one of those files in the "scripts" folder and to change one file to another updated one but...) Happy that they're where they're meant to be I close all and reopen Gimp.
From all I've gleaned in my search for a good Editor Gimp seems to be at the top of the list. I know others have managed to do this so I don't understand why I can't.
I have windows 7.I down loaded the exe pointed to on the main download page. When I ran this I had to decline about 6 offers to install crap on my computer, most annoying. Then it installed on C: without offering where I wanted it, which was D.
I have CS2 Premium which I'm running on an older PowerPC Mac (G5 - Dual 2.3 GHz ) running OS 10.4.11. I've had this setup for many many years (registered/activated with Adobe) but suddenly one day I could no longer launch my Photoshop app: when I clicked on the Pshop icon it would start the launch (open) procedure ... and then almost instantly it would quit (in just a few seconds ... before the application even got to the 'title/credit' screen).
I've recently tried uninstalling CS2 (everything except Acrobat) and I ended up doing a manual uninstall of Version Cue. I've been on Macs for 20+ years so figured this would be a pretty straightforward procedure - uninstall -> reinstall and then back to work. Nope.
I'm attempting a fresh installation direct from the original CS2 CDs. In any event, when I try to (re)install CS2 - and after going through the standard screens with Adobe's usage terms agreement and installation hard disk selection - I arrive at the screen where one selects which application(s) to install by checking the various boxes (or alternately, to install the entire suite) but the 'Adobe Photoshop CS2/Adobe ImageReady CS2' line and checkbox are grayed out, so it will not allow me to check them and continue with the Photoshop installation process.
How do I re-install AI CC after it's been uninstalled because the initial install was corrupt? AI isn't availbale for download again in the app section of CC.
I have photoshop CS6, and I decided to install the trial version of CC. After installing it, there were problems, it kept saying that dynamic link isn't available. I removed it and wanted to re-install it, but I can't do it because according to Creative Cloud I already have Photoshop CC while I don't. I want to try CC but I can't download it.
I am running Mac OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) on a Mac Pro Dual Core Intel Xeon with 2.66 GHz and 3GB RAM.I have tried to install Photoshop CS6 from the purchased disc and again from a downloaded trial version from Adobe. Both having the exact same install errors issue. I still have CS4 loaded since I wish to run with this suite for a while before I fully switch to CS6

I have a new build with Win 7 Home 64bit. My original PS was ver. 5 and I've upgraded off of that ever since. I'm up to CS2 (upgrade) but on my new computer PS 5 will not install so I can't install CS2. Any work arounds?
What's the earliest version that will install on Win 7 Home 64?
I signed up for the photo suite, lightroom + photoshop, today. Had no problems at all with lightroom but when photoshop had "downloaded" it said the file was damaged or incomplete. Nothing happened during the install, comp stayed on.. So I am a bit baffled on what happened and how I can fix it. When I go to adobe's site to the download screen for photoshop it just tells me after I click the link that I already have it.
I cannot install video studio se dvd. It throws component transfer error on data2.cab It's may be because data2.cab is corrupt. Can I get data2.cab anywhere else?
I currently have Windows XP with SP3. I recently tried to install Photoshop Extended. However, when it get's to "initializing Photoshop" It just stops...nothing pops up. I tried to uninstall Photoshop from the Add/Remove programs menu but when I click remove, nothing pops up either. Is there a way to manually remove Photoshop and re-install it?
