GIMP :: How To Leave Space For Adsense Code

Sep 4, 2011

When making a webpage and then using Filters > Web > Slice, is there any easy way to leave space for adsense code or any code at all for that matter. I have tried opening the generated HTML file in Kompozer, but every time I try to add code to the cells, it messes up the entire page's layout.

Paint.NET :: Lift Toy Off Background And Leave Only White Space Around It

Oct 28, 2011

I have a picture of a toy, I want to lift the toy off the background and leave only white space around it.

Here's what I've accomplished so far:

Created new layer Used the rounded rectangle to isolate the toy inverted the image used the magic wand to crop areas that had to go cropped as close to the toy as possible. Now I have the image but it's on this ugly, bits and pieces left over square.

What I'd like to know is: will making the background transparent fix it?

I'm still playing with it and saw a tutorial on transparency, but each time I attempt to do it - the entire image disappears.

GIMP :: How To Enlarge Space Where Object Sits

Jun 9, 2012

Im trying to tear a dollar bill in half...I know how to do this and accomplished it with ease in gimp but theres one problem.

When I split the dollar bill, and I move each piece upward, the bottom corner of the dollar bill hides behind something...I think its the actual picture perimeter.. I hope this makes sense...basically the dollar bill is to large..when I move each piece of the dollar bill, the corners of the dollar behind fall behind the frame I guess or the perimieter of the picture. I tried resizing the layer but that didn't seem to work. Is there some way to enlarge the space where the object sits. I tried scaling and it doesnt make a difference either..

AutoCad :: Leave XY Alone And Move Only Z?

Jan 5, 2012

I'm using a DXF drawing in my CNC program that uses all three axis. I've scaled the original drawing from 300" to about a 3"x5"". When when I save it as DXF, change it to gcode and run it in my CNC router, the Z depth is more than I want. I'd like to move Z closer to 0 without changing the XY. Can this be done?

I trained in R14 many many years ago so I probably already know my answer it's just tucked away behind too many other life experiences. Right now I'm using Autocad LT 2004 or 2006. I'm away from my CNC machine so I'm not really sure.

GIMP :: Make Image Set On Top Of Tool Palettes To Get More Screen Space

Dec 8, 2012

IProblem 1: Tool Palettes on top of image.
I'm using a 15" thinkpad laptop, with I think 1024 x whatever highest resolution. When I use Gimp, my screen real estate is being eaten up by the tool palettes more so than the image I'm trying to work on. I like the tool palettes - I'd like them to stay open - BUT what I'd really like is for the image to lay over top of the palettes, rather than the palettes lying over top of my image.

Problem 2: Zooming and scrolling in the image.
I'm not too sure what was different about photoshop in this regard, but I'm having a bear of a time getting my images to zoom and scroll in the manner I was used to in photoshop. What can I change in the Gimp settings to make it behave more like photoshop in that regard? I found one setting to increase window size as the image zooms, but that was worse.

I like a lot of the aspects of Gimp, but these two things are preventing me from getting to use it very much presently.

Photoshop :: Compare Two Images And Leave Only Different Pixels?

Oct 18, 2013

I'm working together with a photographic studio in order to study better ways to cut subjects in their photos. So, instead of using the ways we use to cut. We have taken 2 photos for the product. The first is only the background, and the second is the beackground with the product. Look at the attachments in this message. It's a simple example (not taken in the studio, with control of lights and so on, but should work for testing purposes).

Looking at the 2 images, you can see the bottle and his reflex or shadow is the unique content that changes between the 2 scenarios. If you try, for example, place each file as a layer, group them into a smart object then use stack modes, you can take off the bottle from the scenario. We are trying to find a way to get the inverse (leave only the bottle). So, if finding any combination of technique that works, we could speed time in the cutting process by already taking images this way.

(perhaps a combination of blending, use of channels....), anything that could compare the 2 images and calculate the different pixels (this case, the bottle)? or perhaps reach an alpha channel that makes easy to perfectlly cut the image. The difference blending mode, for example, makes a calculation of pixels, but I did not get so much sucess working based on this blend

AutoCAD Civil 3D :: Cursor Does Not Want To Leave Modelspace

Even when pressing escape to stop a command, nothing changes. Using the viewcube solves this problem for one time. But every time I draw a line or even zooming, the problem comes back again.

AutoCAD 2013 :: Move Dimension Job But Leave Text Where Placed

Apr 11, 2013

Check out the two pics I have added. I did this from Solidworks. Sometimes when dimensioning you have a series of holes that are close together like the ones shown below. What I would like to do is to drag the jog so that the dimension line does not run thru the other hole and the text stays where you put it. I would like to be able to do this without exploding it or going thru some sort of hoops to make it happens. Is this possible in Autocad? I thought that in a earlier version of Autocad you were able to do it but I am not sure.

AutoCAD Architecture :: Crosshairs Leave Black Trail

Nov 24, 2013

When I open ACAD A14, the workspace is displayed black (I had it set on white). When I zoom out, the screen is white again, but when I move the cursor, the crosshairs are displayed as a black square and leave a black trail, like for example Internet Explorer on the old Windows systems. I can use all functions normally, however my drawings are not properly displayed through the black. I had it running today already, without any problems, but my laptop was not connected to the internet, now it is. Things I tried: Reinstalling AutoCAD Restarting my PC Disconnecting my laptop from the internet and reopening AutoCAD A screenshot is attached. I am a first semester student and the plan is for a supporting structure of a hall that is due on friday, so its nothing that takes up a lot of computing power or anything.

Photoshop :: Remove White Background And Leave Transparent

Dec 18, 2004

I have some logos which all have a white background. I want to remove this white background to leave it transparent. So far I've managed to remove it but it hasn't been very clean as I've had to do it with brushes and lassos and havent had the effect I want.

I want a clean edge but these all leave grey pixels that blended from the black edge into the white background or just remove the black completely.

I'm looking for a reasonably quick way to do this, as I have 16 logos to get through and not too long to do it in.

Photoshop :: PS7: How To Remove Color But Leave Outlines Intact?

Aug 9, 2004

I'm working on a project with simple black lines (curves and geometric shapes) and bold reds, but I'd like to be able to remove the color values so the image is a simple black-and-white outline (think coloring book style ~ I'd like a template to use with other colors down the road). But... having mediocre skills with the program, I'm not sure how to do it. I've tried using the paint bucket features, just filling in the colored areas with white, but I find that depletes the black outlines or makes them jagged -- or worse, they find breaks and the color leaks out. I've tried using the magic wand to select only the colored area, then filling it with white to avoid ruining the outline, but then there is a oh-so-faint (but bothersome to me) ring of red around the black outline. So, I'm thinking, this is such a versatile program that there's got to be a way to manipulate the image to remove the red without compromising the quality of the lines...

I've attached a little snippet of a bit of the image I'm working with so you can get an idea of the "mechanics" (for lack of a better term) of the picture. Also FYI: The outline thicknesses vary between 3 and 6 pixels with thicker "curls" at the end (I'd guess the thickest would be 12-15 pixels wide) and are all done with the pen tool.

Illustrator :: Knife Tool Leave Gaps In The Shape (CS6)

Jun 11, 2013

When I use the knife tool on an shapeit leaves a gap where I slice. First I thought it was just an illusion in the program but it stays even after I've exported the image (both by "save as" in illustrator and "export" in inDesign). I've been careful not to move the shapeafter I used the tool so I don't think that should be a reason.

I've tried on different types of shapes like normal circles and more complex shapes. I've also attempted to start a new file from scratch but with the same result  What could the reason be? Is there a setting I should be aware of?

This is what I see in Illustrator:

And this is what the image looks like when saved as pdf (in illustrator):

It also looks the same if I place it in inDesign and then export to pdf.

EDIT: I don't know if it is important but the size of the shape is about an A4 or there about.

Where do these dashes come from? They aren't a visible part of the contour label. They only show up when the surface is on a frozen layer. The only purpose they serve is to show where a contour label would be if the surface wasn't frozen.
