I'm trying to use Gimp to add a visible grid to a printed picture, so thatI can use it as a guide when painting a copy of the pic. I haven't beenable to figure out how from the documentation. There is a grid, and itshows on screen, but not when I print.
View 1 RepliesJust upgraded to REVIT 2013 and now many types of lines are not visible on screen- randomly it seems. Also, sometimes they don't print, either. I've tried increasing the fineness of the view, changing the material definitions, etc. Most often this is happenning when I have opened an old file and had it automatically update the file. Also, it seems to happen within asurface texture, but it is not limited to that circumstance.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have several documents made in older CorelDraw versions. Problem- When I tried to add new pages to the existing document, the Document Grid appeared only in the new page. And these cannot be removed. Worse, it is printed everytime. There is no way for me to remove it.
PS: These problem did not appear in new documents created in CorelDraw x6. It occurs in CorelDraw x6 when using older version files.
I am using Adobe Illustrator CC version 17.0.1 x64 on Windows 8.1.
In Edit > Preferences > Guides & Grid I have the Show Pixel Grid option checked but when zoomed in over 600% the pixel grid does not appear. Am I missing something?

I switched to the work tab, that has a 3-d view and there is the grid. I cannot find what I did alter its visibility in model space.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI run MacOS 10.9, Lightroom 5.3 and I print on an Epson R3000.
The first problem I had was that the images was printed on just a small part of the paper and it cut the images. I have attached a picture showing this. I totally reinstalled my computer and now it looks like that problem is gone (for now at least). But now the images are printed but much smaller than the paper I specify. If I specify A3+ I get something close to A4. Borderless printing on 6*4 looks to be working as it should but that's the only I managed to print so far.
I tested printing from Photoshop 5.1 and that worked fine.
I've used CorelDraw for a couple of years manly for simple newsletters and flyers. My question is concerning the visibility, or in my case, the non-visibility of the baseline grid. First of all my equipment is as follows: Dell Inspiron 620, i5-2320 @3.00 GHz, 8gb Ram 64bit windows 7 home premium with all current updates. I'm using a education version of x6 suite and it's updated to version 16.3.0.1114.
These are the steps I've taken: I created a rectangle within the document and using the layout toolbar I clicked "convert the object to a text frame". With the text box active, I clicked view/grid/baseline grid, but alas, no baseline grid is visible within the text box.
I was thinking of something like photoshop can do. Have like a 32x32 pixel grid, then within that 32x32 square a 1x1 pixel grid show up? Of course a different lin maybe dotted?

I need the document to fill the page in its entirety, as it is going to be one of those "tear off the phone number at the bottom" type of advertisements.
Is there some way that I can "zoom in" everything that I've created, so it fills an entire 8.5x11 piece of paper?

I'm working with a jpg file. I'd like to be able to see how the photo will fit in various printed formats--8x10, 10x14, 12x18, for example, and what cropping, if any, I'd need to perform. How do I do that? And how do I see its current size, given either the horizontal or vertical dimension?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to make a collage which will be printed(=300 DPI) on A3(420 × 297 mm) sized paper. The images I want to take elements from for my collage are all different in size and DPI. When these elements come together they should be similar in size in order to create a new believable scene. 1 element can't be absurdly large in relation to another.
So what I did for my first image (size of 3456 × 2304 pixels, a print-size of 1219,20 × 812,80 mm and DPI 72 × 72) was increase the DPI to 600 in order to obtain a smaller printsize - reducing it to 146,30 × 97,54 mm - cut-out the elements I need and import them into my A3 document. This gave me the size I need for my elements.
However when I try to take elements out of the second image (size of 1500 × 1125 pixels, a print-size of 211,67 × 158,75 mm and DPI 180 × 180) - which I leave unchanged because 211,67 × 158,75 mm is about the size I need for the elements - and place them into the A3 document they are too small. Same story for the third image (size of 2400 × 1600 pixels, a print-size of 304,80 × 203,20 mm and DPI 200 × 200)
In liquify mode the picture is not visible at 100% magnification and above.It's perfect between 25 and 66%. If I turn the hardware acceleration off it works but slow. Doesn't work with PSD, jpeg, 8 or 16 bit. I did reset the PS. It had been working during the morning and stopped to work hours ago despite nothing happened: I haven't installed or removed any software. My PS is clean, I don't use any add-on or 3rd party filter. View 10 Replies View Relatedwhen i resize an image for example to 27 x 18 cm there is no problem however, when i try and print the image and the preview window comes up there seems to only be a tiny part of the picture visible? its basicly a tiny square in the top left corner of the preview page and its just big enough to see its a minute part of the image i want to print. If i try and print the image anyway i just get "could not start print job".I never had any issues before then suddenly a few weeks ago the problem happened in version x2 on any pictures i tried to resize and print , so i updated to x3 in the hope it would correct the error but its still there. Any setting somewhere , i tried using a trial version of a rival program and that worked fine and showed the print preview exactly how it should.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to put a picture (subject on a plain background) on a grid, with the picture being pixelated enough to match the scale of the grid, but I'm getting stuck trying to keep the detail of the picture as the grid step gets larger. (see below) Sounds impossible, but i know i'm getting caught up in the maths somewhere. Is there a way to manipulate the picture to get the detail in the bottom pic to transfer to the larger grid step of the top pi without changing the size of the grid?

So for example if i cut out an object from one picture that has pretty warm lighting environment, and put it in a cold light background it will look pretty out of place obviously, and this is what I would like to resolve.

I've this window with all the tabs for the brushes, patterns etc and when I want to make the layers visible, I've to drag the layers window to the tabs and then drag it back to where it first was.. (it's quite hard to explain )

I have some PDF files whose images are not visible as I go through the steps to open them. The steps are File > Open > select file in drop-down box > click on Open > see empty image in Import from PDF box > click on Select All > Import. The import process takes a few seconds and the editing box appears with a blank image. The size of the box matches the number of pixels shown in the import box, but no image is visible. What can I do to change the color or visibility of the pixels? Other PDF files import correctly using the same process.

I modified an image of some fabric to create a texture then pasted that texture into another image and had happy results. I'm trying to do it again tonight with a different texture I created but when I try to paste it into the other image the pasted layer is not visible. The layer transparency is set to 100, and, of course, the 'show layer" eye is clicked.
