I want to widen my website banner image from 950px to cover the whole width of the screen no matter what resolution or monitor
it's the blue image at [URL].......
I want to position the logo and the words exactly where they are right now but 'stretch' the image along with its shading gradient, right across the screen.
I am building my first website for myself. I am using Elegant Themes, which uses WordPress. I am attempting to modify (reduce in size) a banner on my website, which appears within a slider on the homepage. After modifying the image in Gimp 2.8, I attempt to save/export the new image, and a window appears "The folder contents could not be displayed." How can I proceed?

I've tried working with the pen tools and line tools in photoshop but just can't get the curve right and can't then do a gradient fill.

Go to File > Dialogs > Choose Layers or just hit CTRL-L. This opens up the Layers Dialog (or window).
The problem is there is no dialogue option in file. I do not know what to do.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI would like to add "frames" to some of the graphics I'm using on a website. The frame I want is really just a white border of 8 or 10 pixels on each of the four sides; the pictures will all be rectangles.
I tried doing a frame like this in Gimp 2.8 (in Windows 8) earlier today and couldn't think of a way to do this very easily. I thought about drawing a white line along the edge of each side of the rectangle but didn't know a good way to draw a straight line of the desired thickness exactly where I want it. I thought about using the eraser to turn the edges white but that seemed clumsy.
If I the image map I use for my website.....could have copyable text.
For instance.... here is a link to a page on my website...the whole body of the webpage is a png image that I made using gimp and the image map option. The problem is that the text is not copyable...since it is part of the image. Is there a way to keep the format as it is, but make the test copyable as if it were a website made by the regular, HTML programming way?

View 2 Replies View Relatedusing Gimp to create a website header that includes image mapping. I figured out how (Filters > Web > Image Map). I just can't figure out how to save it in a format that I can then upload to a Bandcamp website.
I can open a graphic in Gimp that I made in Powerpoint. A second window opens with the same graphic and that is where I add the image mapping. So now how do I save it so that when I upload it the tags are there? Or am I supposed to copy all the tags and then paste that code? I can find the place in Bandcamp where the code gets pasted - but I haven't yet figured out how to copy the code.
Im using Civil 3d 2012 and I couldn't find the function that I could offset the smooth curve alignment as shown on the attached pdf. I've looked through the offset alignments but those linear, curve-cube-reverse curve, curve-line curve doesn't work much.

The problem is that the left pane is only a few inches wide and by the time I get closer to the folder I wan, I can't see it. It seems like I should be able to simply widen the panel by clicking and dragging the edge of the panel but no slider arrows appear when I hover there. How do I widen the panel?

The process entails locating a suitable area of each image, cropping that area to 25 pixels square, and saving the result. Obviously, I need to be able to do this as quickly as possible; ideally with just a single click for each image, and so I'd like to set up a script in order to batch-process the images. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that a suitable position on one image is going to be at all suitable for another, so a limited amount of interactivity is required.
Is it possible to set up an interactive batch task, or would some other approach be required?
I'm working on a project to widen a roadway through some mountains. The problem i am having is getting the corridor to apply to a future surface so that i can determine the volume difference. my profiles show there should be some cut and fill, but i cannot get the model to reflect this. when i try to preform a bounded volume i recieve a "the surfaces do not overlap".

I like the dark skin, but it seems more difficult to grab the bottom of the Color Gallery in order to stretch it down. The Grey was easier. The area where the mouse converts to the double arrow is quite narrow. At least for an old shaky man like me. Is there a REGEDIT value I could change to widen the "active" area of the gallery borders for the purpose of stretching them?
