View 4 RepliesI am using Autodesk Inventor design suite 2013.
I am wondering if there is a way to unlink the dwg and the ipn. I am making drawings ( from the solid model) for instructions. I use the same ipn for all the steps in the instructions and save each steps as separate drawings but when i open the drawings again they are in the current state the ipn is in.
how to un-link and ole object (pdf) in 2013. Also, how do I insert it without it linking. The insert ole dialogue box gives an option to link or not, but then it will not insert the pdf.

1. Is any chance to get shortcut "unlink" as "S" key? I open Keyboard shortcuts menu and type "unlink" but there is no function. So, can I modyfy a key to be as hortcut of unlink?
2. How can I save project and then send it to my mate that he can open it withouts any problems? There is an option to "save videos" with project files automatically? Sony Vegas has that options and this is great!

I usually work in 2 viewports in my model-space (one Top and one Front) now I'm taking over a project from a college and it seems like my 2 viewports become linked so that when I switch between them the other one flips, can this strange link be broken?

I somehow screwed up all my pages so that they're linked together to share all the same width and height dimensions. I need some pages only a certain height and others shorter, taller, etc. When I edit the size to say 1000x width and 3000x height somehow all the other pages either lengthen or shorten and cut content.

how to unlink my "background" in the layers pallete from the other layers.
I am using photoshop CS2. on a mac OS X.
When i make changes to other layers in the layers pallete, it changes my 'background' as well. I know that i can duplicate it but regardless, the 'background' changes according to what i do to the other layers even tho it is locked.

I have a problem, been trying to solve it for many days. I would like to 'batch process' many images. I have loads of PNGs with tranparent backgrounds, I love the auto-crop feature, I'd like to automatically do this to hundreds of images. Basically these images have a small picture in the middle, with lots of blank space around them, I'd like to get rid of this space. It would take really long to autocrop each one manually.

Until recently Gimp has either supported transparency of .png image files or automatically added an alpha channel to the image. This I don't know. I do a lot of rendering and have always been able to take a .png or convert any image type to a .png, create a path, and delete everything outside of the path and end up with a transparent background.
But something has changed where I must now manually add an alpha channel to a .png image in order to end up with a “transparent background”. what changed in Gimp that I can no longer just erase or delete a selected area of a png resulting in a transparent area?
I've recently installed GIMP. It is a bit daunting for me at this stage but I'm getting there. My main interest is enhancing photos.
Is there a way to stitch two images together? I can't find any reference to this.
Also, is there an index type search facility to find information on a specific topic? The manual is good but a key word search facility would be very useful. Again I can't find one..
Is there a way to get 2 separate images on the same screen?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have two satellite images that I am comparing to look for changes in topography between the two dates at which the images were taken. I was going to use the Layers Divide Mode, but the problem is that any brightness changes AND non-changes show up as white (the algorithm gimp uses is 256*Image1/(image2+1) ), so you can see if the pixels of image1 and 2 are the same, it'll give a pixel with value 256, and if image 1 has brighter pixel than image 2, it will give a value greater than 256...which gets converted back to 256. I've also looked into the Difference and Subtract modes, but they take absolute values or sets anything negative to 0, which skews my results. Basically, I'm wondering if there is something in gimp which will allow me to compare the two images, kind of like creating a ratio image in ENVI where darker colors stand for darkening over time, whiter colors stand for brightening, and greyish colors show non-changes. I want to divide one pixel value by the other, and use that value to create a new ratio image.

I am starting a decal business and i have jpg's of all the decal designs in black on a white background. I need to batch colorize a bunch of images, i figured out how to do it individually and save but i need to colorize all the images in a folder and save with a different name. i found a great script to batch convert jpgs to pngs, and am trying to edit it to work.
i think just the line in red needs to be written correctly.

I have managed to reset the print size for smaller images (7,5 by 5 centimetres) and they have worked fine. But now I need a print 90 mm (9cm) by 150mm (15 cm) and even after unlocking the chain the print comes out at 150 by 115 mm...I've tried it about 50 times now and it's always the same.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI What I'm trying to do is take an image off the net (mainly Marvel and DC characters) and open them up in GIMP and making the "reverse" image of that file. So I will have the character twice, but when printed I can paste the two back to back and they both show the same image, back and front....hope that made sense.
Also, how would I put, lets say, 5 images on one sheet of paper? I don't want to print just one image on 1 sheet and waste so much paper. I'd like to get 4 -6 on 1 sheet of paper, print them out and glue them back to back for my paper miniatures.
